The most stunning resort ever, we had a fantastic time here celebrating our honeymoon. The location, beach and pool area are perfect. We felt so relaxed and looked after for our entire trip. The major highlight was the service, it is exceptional! Every single bar and restaurant offers unbelievable service and nothing is too much trouble. Our favourite bar was Medine - super friendly and personable staff ❤️ they practically had our drinks order ready before we sat down! Also, the reception staff were super helpful and kind with arranging excursions and anything else we needed! Managed to visit all restaurants at least once, would have liked to visit Magenta again but struggled to get in. Food was great, we loved ordering our breakfast to the room most days, it was so special. Would highly recommend visiting Ile Aux Cerfs hotel too for the golf and beach, a beautiful place. Thank you so much for an incredible holiday that we will never forget. We hope to come back one day ✨

We were able to enjoy two wonderful weeks at this very beautiful resort. Special thanks to Jake Evans Kachi, and Mr. “Tipitopi” Jeewan for the excellent service at the LeMorne BeachBar! It’s a pity not everyone in the service team had the same skills—otherwise it would have been a well-deserved 5-star rating. It wasn’t uncommon to feel that some staff deliberately looked the other way when guests needed something. Additionally, management should ensure that the resort doesn’t get overcrowded… Service, quality, and ambiance suffer significantly when overrun by too many new tourists. This puts a lot of pressure on the staff and directly affects the service, which tries its best but was sometimes clearly overwhelmed. Other than that, I can only give praise: the buffet and the quality at the à la carte restaurants were very good. The bungalows are charming—though, as expected, they match a European 3.5-star standard. So I remain with heartfelt thanks for this wonderful time! Dear Mauritians, you live on an island that we Europeans would call paradise. Your culture, your nature—take good care of them! Such things are becoming increasingly rare on this planet. Exceptional place to spend the vacation. Nice beach, enough sunbeds even in the afternoon. The most polite, kind and smiley staff. Claudia for the room service is the best. We had 8 great nights here. The last day we tried the Coconut Cafe restaurant for a dinner. We tasted delicious mauritian meals and enjoyed the company of the Yohan, Lea, Daavinen, Sumam and Sandil which were the best. Thank you, La Pirogue, for having this ewesome time here.

This is my family and I's seventh time in La Pirogue, and it is for good reason. The staff are extremely hospitable and friendly. It truly feels like coming home each year. You're enveloped in a sense of genuine care and attention from the moment you arrive. The bungalows give a wonderful sense of privacy and charm while keeping their Mauritian culture profound. The beach is not very far away at all. The beach, lined with sunbeads, offers a stunning view of the surrounding and it is a relaxing place to just be. Now, the coral inside the lagoon has sadly noticeably disintegrated over the years, which my family has been coming to, but that is not the hotel's fault. However, you can still go snorkelling and see some coral still intact and a vibrant array of different marine life. The hotel offers excursions and activities (some for free, some for a fee). Free activities include snorkelling trips, glass boat tour, golf, table tennis, beach volleyball ball and different boat activities (eg, sailing, pedal boat, paddle boat, kayak, and more!). There are also paid activities such as scuba diving, dolphin trips, and fishing. There is a teens club, a kids club, and a daily program to keep up with what's happening. The food is also great (just less varied than it used to be; there used to be cusines of a different country every night but they stopped that) and we were invited to this beach barbecue which was delicious! They did sadly close the medical room and I don't know why which is a little bit dissapointing as I imagine it is quite a long way to Sugar Beach in case of an emergancy. One other thing which I would like to see is more installations of the new water fountain things, especially by the beach as it is quite far to get to and thay is where one might get thirsty. Overall, it was a great experience and we may come next year again!
