We enjoyed our stay in La Flora Khao Lak very much.
We recommend taking a deluxe pool access room as you have always a sunbed and the pool almost to yourself! In the room everything was nice and clean (but you definitely should bring mosquito repellent!). We didn't like that the towels are changed everyday even when we didn't put them on the floor. That is not as sustainable as the hotel wants to be... However the water refill station in the lobby and the glass bottles are 👍
At the beach and the main pool all the sunbeds were reserved all the time even though it is forbidden. Unfortunately, we never saw them being removed as a sign said 😅
The breakfast buffet was exceptionally big and diverse, however in the evening we never ate there. We missed cozy lounges next to the restaurant to enjoy a nice cocktail and the entertainment in the evening. Luckily, there are enough possibilities for that in the street behind the hotel.

La Flora in Khao Lak is a beautiful and relaxing resort near the beach.
The resort offers a variety of different rooms. Our room was clean and nice-looking. The room service was friendly and came either between 9–10 AM or between 2–3 PM. We stayed in a Seaside Pool Access room in building N. Unfortunately, the room didn’t have a closet. The TV station selection was limited, mostly news channels from around the world. There were only one or two kids and movie channels, and they were translated into Thai.
The Wi-Fi was very slow at all times of the day, even at 2 AM when I tried to watch a soccer game 😀. Download and upload speeds varied from 2 to 15 Mbps.
The direct pool access was great, with two sunbeds and a large umbrella provided. The pool wasn’t busy, as most guests relaxed at the main pool near the restaurant.
The mosquito situation was bad, with a lot of mosquitoes on the pool access porch. During our stay, we were informed that they would do pest control to address the mosquito problem. However, two days after the scheduled pest control, the situation hadn't improved.
The breakfast buffet had a lot of different options and was free, as it was included in the room price.
For dinner, you could choose between a buffet or an à la carte menu. The buffet had an additional cost, even if you paid for dinner vouchers. With vouchers, the buffet was half the normal price. The buffet featured something different every evening. The à la carte menu offered a variety of Thai and Western cuisine, but vegetarian options were very limited. Only a few dishes under the rice and noodles section could be ordered without meat. More vegetarian and vegan dishes would be greatly appreciated.
The hotel staff was really friendly and did their best to make our stay pleasant. Their English was good, with only minor miscommunications.
Overall, our stay was really nice and relaxing. I would come again.

Suggestions for Improvement:
Improve Wi-Fi speed and reliability.
Increase the variety of vegetarian and vegan options, clearly labeled for customers.
Address the mosquito problem more effectively.
Expand the selection of TV stations.
Provide closets in Seaside Pool Access rooms.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are well kept and have a good standard. We stayed in a Pool Room which gave access to a small pool and a swim up bar. Sun loungers are on your own patio. The only downside of the pool rooms are that being by the water, there are lots of mosquitoes. Make sure you wear repellent! We also always carry a mosquitoe room spray, which was needed every night here!
Food is good quality and large menu selection. Great selection of Western and Eastern food for breakfast. Each day, they do change the options.
Pool bars and main bars have a good selection of cocktails and bottled beers. Wide selection of food is also available at the bars. There are Happy Hours at different times during the day and night.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
There is a small shop on site that is handy and the same prices as local shops up the road.
The hotel is very well placed. Everything you need is local.
There are lots of lovely restaurants all within a short walk. Not just Thia food but a few pizza restaurants as well.
Small supermarkets are also just up the street. A Seven Eleven about a half hour walk or 5 minute taxi ride.
ATM just a 2 minute walk.
A good-sized market just 15 - 20 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) is well worth a visit.
Definitely recommend this hotel for families. We had 14 in our group with 5 children under 8 years old.
All the local restaurants and the hotel restaurant offer great children's meals. Our children loved the Kids Club, open till 4pm everyday. There is a small children only water area/park. There are also a few shallow pools ideal for babies.

Perfect beach front hotel. Superb sunset view.
Eating breakfast everyday whilst looking out over the beach and Andaman sea was so nice as was the choices for breakfast. Very short walk to all the shops and restaurants and lively night market. The room was very spacious, modern and clean. Shower was lush. Main pool and pool below our balcony were just right.. both with swim up bars. Lots of sunbeds with parasols just above the beach line and beanbags you could go further with. Cleaners and gardeners were doing a fantastic job. My one and only regret is not booking a swim up room because if we get the chance to come back that is no.1 priority.

Our stay at La Flora, even though we left early due to the weather, was absolutely enjoyable and pleasant. The staff always went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cozy. The rooms were more than adequate, in the beginning a little damp, as in all tropical areas, but after a few days it was all good.
We had a little incident of something missing from our room, which we reported at the front desk, and the Hotel again went the extra mile to compensate and did a great Job. My special thanks goes to Mrs Namlartan(I hope the name is correct), who did her job to the fullest. This kind of customer service is what differentiates a good Hotel from a great Hotel. We define ourselves on how we deal with problems - I say chapeaux.
We will definitely be coming back again.
Thank you to the entire team at La Flora
