We checked in on 1/1 when the hotel was very busy, there were not enough sunbeds for a full hotel and towels were left on these from very early morning, however there were beanbags on the beach which we used and this felt much less crowded than in the sunbed area. Otherwise the hotel is fine, with helpful, lovely staff. Good breakfast with plenty of options. A hard working barista on the breakfast coffee station, didn’t catch the guys name but he worked efficiently to get drinks out quickly to order. Our room was lovely, a swim up room in the seaside wing but the veranda felt exposed to all and so we never used this. The location of the hotel is perfect, on the beach yet within 5 mins walk of a huge number of restaurants and bars to entertain you in the evening. Taxis located nearby if you want to venture further. The option to use the sister hotel’s facilities was great for us as the beach area at La Vela, seemed far less crowded and more spread out.

I stayed at this hotel in August for a family trip. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but I would like to share some feedback regarding the spa experience. I booked a couple’s massage for my mother and me as a gift. The spa had a good atmosphere, and we were really looking forward to it. During the session, my therapist needed to step out for about 10 minutes to use the restroom. I understand that unexpected situations can happen; however, there was no extension of the session or adjustment to the service time afterward. My session also ended earlier than my mother’s, and I felt disappointed to be charged the full price. The room was spacious and beautiful. However, there was a gap at the top of the door because it was broken. It felt quite humid even with the air conditioning on. The bed also felt slightly damp, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, my kids contracted Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease during our stay. While we cannot be certain of the source, we are concerned about the hygiene of the shared facilities like the kids' play area and hope for improved sanitization. On a positive note, the staff were very kind, and the food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and the lavish dinner buffet, which offered a great variety of dishes.

I approached the excursions team, specifically spoke with Ann. I wanted to book the sunset tour on their Stella yacht. Not only was it by far the best priced tour in the area it was absolutely incredible. Ann was really clear with communication leading up to the evening and sent a car to collect me from the hotel I was staying in. I was led to the yacht down a small pier and met the crew. They took me out for the afternoon/early evening touring the local area and supplied plenty of great local history.. As well as drinks, they provided both sweet and savoury platters which were very well presented and tasted great. I felt safe, secure and in great hands. All round a fantastic experience, one I will cherish forever. Thanks again Ann and team!

A dream stay at La Flora Khao Lak La Flora Khao Lak is truly a dream hotel. From the very first moment, we were absolutely impressed – especially by the outstanding service and the incredibly friendly staff. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. The hotel’s location directly on the beach is beautiful and makes the stay perfect. Our room was amazing, very comfortable and well maintained. A real highlight was the direct access to a private pool area, which made our stay even more special. We would especially like to praise the bartender Lee, who was extremely friendly and made the best drinks – every single one was delicious. Our biggest thanks go to Ann, a truly wonderful member of the staff. During our two-week stay, she checked on us every single day to make sure everything was fine, booked trips and events for us, and helped us with any issues we had. Ann is an amazing person and a huge asset to the hotel. We highly recommend La Flora Khao Lak and would love to come back again!

I really enjoyed my stay at La Flora. The staff were all friendly, my room was large and clean. The pool areas are all very well maintained. There were lots of options for breakfast and sitting on the beach having my breakfast was a very pleasant experience. My only issue is that I had booked a tour through the hotel, but they had to cancel it because there weren't enough people booked onto it. Rather than automatically refunding it when they cancelled I am having to chase my refund and still haven't received this yet
