I loved staying at the Kixby! It was centrally located to my office and I felt safe walking to & from both in the morning and at night. The room was a great size and extremely clean, as was the bathroom. The lobby was warm and welcoming, the restaurant attached to the hotel had great food (I got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, amazing), and they give you a water bottle upon check and there is a flavored water machine on the second floor (along with coffee, tea, and a computer to utilize). I was on the second floor facing 35th and the noise was never excessive, which I was pleasantly surprised at. I had put my Do Not Disturb sign on my door and received a text that they had seen it, but if I wanted to schedule the cleaning team to come back at a later time to text them! A great touch. Overall would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here when I visit next.

I’ve just returned from the trip of a lifetime to New York. I’d chosen the Kixby after looking through a handful of hotels and decided this looked the nicest. Check in was really easy, and we were able to leave our bags in the store room so we were able to go and explore the city as we arrived early and our room wasn’t ready. We were offered other rooms that were ready earlier, but they wanted us to have a particular room so I was happy to wait and I’m glad I did. We took a look out for the window and looked up, and we had the best view of the Empire State Building…well 2nd best. The best was from the rooftop which you also have access to. There is a room for free tea/coffee, water refills and flavoured water that is all included in your stay. There is a small fitness room aswell. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, especially Jose who took care of our bags when we arrived and checked out. He was so kind and helpful our entire trip. I highly recommend staying here.

Stayed at the Kixby between 10-14 Dec 2025 for our 10yr wedding anniversary and it was stunning. Rooms were spacious for NYC. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom is ample. The 24/7 refreshments room is really handy but your room is well stocked with tea and coffee also. Your rooms are kept really clean as is the rest of the hotel. Location is brilliant as we didn’t want time square. You’ll always know where you hotel is just by finding the ESB or Macy’s. Saul is so lovely and helpful as are the rest of the reception crew. We took them a goody bag of Uk treats and they were so happy. Roof top is stunning even in the winter, the view is out of this world. I would only stay here again and only recommend this hotel to others. Can’t wait to return.

Will not stay here again. If you do decide to, please be aware of the tradeoffs below. My requirements for a successful hotel stay is dark, cool, and quiet, a good bed, and a strong hot shower. Kixby missed the mark. Pros - comfortable bed, spacious room, great shower, lovely staff. Cons - not fully dark and more importantly VERY noisy. The first night I was on the 4th floor and it was as if the whole street was in my room (buses idling, water system trucks running, etc). It was so loud that when i called Expedia at 2am to see if they could request a higher floor for the next night the individual helping me commented on it. I've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn down the street with no issue so it may be a windows thing. The next night i was moved to the top floor(12). No street noise however still noisy. The heating unit is loud (both rooms) and even after I turned it off, there was a hum as if you're on an airplane. If you don't mind white noise you'll be fine with it. Make sure to check in early enough to get (or reach out to request) a high floor. They do not have blackout curtains. The blinds get you 90% - make sure to bring an eye mask if you're light sensitive. As an aside, its unclear why this is 4* - other than nice toiletries, a comfortable lobby, and helpful staff, there are no amenities.

I recently celebrated my birthday at the Kirby Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience! The hospitality provided by the staff was truly commendable. From the moment I checked in, I felt welcomed and valued. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which made my stay even more enjoyable. My room was spotless and well-maintained, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to cleanliness. I particularly loved the plush, comfortable bed, which ensured that I got a fantastic night’s sleep after a day of celebrations. Overall, my stay at the Kirby Hotel was a perfect way to celebrate my birthday. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant getaway with excellent service and comfortable accommodations. Thank you, Kirby Hotel, for making my birthday so special!
