The hotel staff were lovely and very friendly, which made us feel welcome from the start. However, this hotel is definitely not suitable for children — there’s absolutely nothing for them to do and no entertainment options available. It would honestly be better marketed as an adults-only hotel. If you’re a couple aged between 25 and 35 looking for a quiet, chilled holiday, this place would be ideal. The restaurant served good food, but the selection was quite limited and the space itself is quite small. There’s only one pool bar, which often gets very congested. Long waits for drinks were common as the staff struggled to keep up with demand.

Great stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect, food was delicious 🔥 In Turkey there is a lot of food, but with the same taste, but that’s not the story about this hotel. Variety of seafood every day during lunch and dinner. Desserts and ice cream with different toppings. Rooms were spacious and clean. Stuff was friendly. Definitely recommend 🔥

I booked a classic double room with a sea view and a whirlpool. The bedroom was spacious, featuring a king-size bed with lovely soft pillows and a comfortable mattress. The room was cleaned daily, and it included a coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and plenty of electrical sockets. There was also a large TV. We opted for the half-board basis, with the flexibility to swap dinner for lunch if we wanted to eat out. The spa on-site was a highlight; we enjoyed a back massage that was perfect. The pool bar was lovely and clean, offering a wide selection of drinks. The pool area was well-maintained, with plenty of sunbeds available and fresh towels provided.

The King Minos Resort is a special place, a jewel in the crown of Crete. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, clean and kept to a high standard. The pool area and pool bar provides a relaxing atmosphere with music playing at a level which entertains without distraction, enabling clients to have a conversation, read or just relax. There is a good selection of food and drinks offered throughout the day at the pool bar. I took advantage of the Wellness Spa which was a lovely experience. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They explained the treatments on offer but I never felt pressured to buy. I was put at ease and well cared for during my treatment. I highly recommend the King Minos Resort to other solo travellers and couples.

A real, luxury 5* resort, only slightly let down by the last day.... A beautiful hotel with great staff who are friendly and really helpful. Welcome drink on arrival, someone took our luggage to the room, and the bar staff were top notch. We had a room with a private pool and sea view, and the room was absolutely gorgeous, and could not fault it at all, I definitely recommend the private pool, especially as the main poolside beds can get reserved quickly. Food was amazing, always hit and fresh and staff are attentive at tables, always offering drinks. Our room was cleaned daily and the private pool was cleaned out a few times during the stay also. A special mention to the a la carte restaurant as the food was gorgeous; it is stated on the menu which foods are cooked from frozen, however you could not tell at all as it felt luxury and would probably be worth over £100 in the UK for the experience. The beach is nearby, just a 5 minute walk and you can cut through down the bottom of the hotel which leads to an underpass which is quite low to walk under, but manageable as you're only under for 10 seconds. A few small cons were that the hotel uses no wristband system, instead just asking guests if they are half board or all inclusive and for their room order when ordering drinks and dining. This isn't a major issue, but can get slightly annoying when we heard some people saying 'we could just say all inclusive and lie'. The main issue we had was on the last day where your all inclusive perks stop at 11am on the day of checkout. Our transfer to the airport was not until 9:30pm, meaning that between 11am and 9:30pm, we had no included drinks or food, which felt strange, especially as we have paid for all inclusive for the entire stay. We brought this up with the reception staff who then gave us a meal voucher for lunch and dinner, however any drinks would have to be paid for, so we took water into the restaurant with us. This is the only thing that let the holiday down as this was by far the best hotel and truest 5* rating we have stayed at. Would definitely return, but would not be looking forward to the last day.
