I booked a classic double room with a sea view and a whirlpool. The bedroom was spacious, featuring a king-size bed with lovely soft pillows and a comfortable mattress. The room was cleaned daily, and it included a coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and plenty of electrical sockets. There was also a large TV. We opted for the half-board basis, with the flexibility to swap dinner for lunch if we wanted to eat out. The spa on-site was a highlight; we enjoyed a back massage that was perfect. The pool bar was lovely and clean, offering a wide selection of drinks. The pool area was well-maintained, with plenty of sunbeds available and fresh towels provided.

The King Minos Resort is a special place, a jewel in the crown of Crete. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, clean and kept to a high standard. The pool area and pool bar provides a relaxing atmosphere with music playing at a level which entertains without distraction, enabling clients to have a conversation, read or just relax. There is a good selection of food and drinks offered throughout the day at the pool bar. I took advantage of the Wellness Spa which was a lovely experience. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They explained the treatments on offer but I never felt pressured to buy. I was put at ease and well cared for during my treatment. I highly recommend the King Minos Resort to other solo travellers and couples.

A real, luxury 5* resort, only slightly let down by the last day.... A beautiful hotel with great staff who are friendly and really helpful. Welcome drink on arrival, someone took our luggage to the room, and the bar staff were top notch. We had a room with a private pool and sea view, and the room was absolutely gorgeous, and could not fault it at all, I definitely recommend the private pool, especially as the main poolside beds can get reserved quickly. Food was amazing, always hit and fresh and staff are attentive at tables, always offering drinks. Our room was cleaned daily and the private pool was cleaned out a few times during the stay also. A special mention to the a la carte restaurant as the food was gorgeous; it is stated on the menu which foods are cooked from frozen, however you could not tell at all as it felt luxury and would probably be worth over £100 in the UK for the experience. The beach is nearby, just a 5 minute walk and you can cut through down the bottom of the hotel which leads to an underpass which is quite low to walk under, but manageable as you're only under for 10 seconds. A few small cons were that the hotel uses no wristband system, instead just asking guests if they are half board or all inclusive and for their room order when ordering drinks and dining. This isn't a major issue, but can get slightly annoying when we heard some people saying 'we could just say all inclusive and lie'. The main issue we had was on the last day where your all inclusive perks stop at 11am on the day of checkout. Our transfer to the airport was not until 9:30pm, meaning that between 11am and 9:30pm, we had no included drinks or food, which felt strange, especially as we have paid for all inclusive for the entire stay. We brought this up with the reception staff who then gave us a meal voucher for lunch and dinner, however any drinks would have to be paid for, so we took water into the restaurant with us. This is the only thing that let the holiday down as this was by far the best hotel and truest 5* rating we have stayed at. Would definitely return, but would not be looking forward to the last day.

A beautiful and immaculate hotel! Everything about this hotel is amazing from the design and layout , the extremely comfortable furniture and sunloungers to the friendly staff that cant do enough for you. My late night check in was smooth and fast, my case taken straight to my room which was beautiful, modern and immaculate. welcome drinks and snacks in the room were a lovely touch. The pool area, pool bar and gym are excellent. There were plenty of sunbeds around either in the shade or in the sun and all really comfortable. the pool bar had heaters and live music at night, really chilled out vibe. The staff at the pool bar were all so lovely and couldnt do enough for you. Drinks and food all amazing. The gym was well equipped with free weights and an outdoor barbell rack/gymnastics rig which was a great addition, just missed a rowing machine which is my go to! Breakfast and evening buffet (I was half board) had a wide selection of food and was all really good. The location was great, a short 5 min walk to a really good Spar supermarket and then further along the road lots of bars, shops and restaurants along the coastline if you wanted some more lively entertainment. Highly recommend this hotel for couples, solo travellers or groups of friends looking for a luxury, chilled out vibe and you’ll be well looked after by all the staff. Just back from a weeks holiday here, exceptional hotel. Place was spotless,staff were brilliant and friendly . We went all inclusive with a private pool,room and pool was amazing, cleaned regular and the pool was perfect to escape the sun. Food selection and quality was really good,loads of options at dinner and different stuff everyday so it didn't become boring or samey. The a la carte restaurant too was very good, high quality food and presentation,can't recommend this place enough, it's also a short Walk to the beach and into the town itself with loads of options for dining and drinks
