We had a wonderful experience at the Lazy Breakfast (Japanese) with pool access at Khalidiya Palace Abu Dhabi. Everything from the food to the ambience was absolutely fantastic and made for a truly relaxing and memorable day. A very special thank you to the amazing team members Sanjil and Asmitha, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, special and genuinely cared for throughout our visit. Their attention to detail and kindness truly stood out. Huge appreciation as well for Chef Mahesh, whose incredible knowledge of Japanese cuisine made the experience even more enjoyable. He thoughtfully walked us through each dish, explaining what was being served, which added such a personal and educational touch to the breakfast. The service didn’t stop at just great food, the staff even surprised us with fun games later on, making the whole experience feel thoughtful, engaging and unique. An excellent concept, outstanding hospitality and a perfect way to enjoy a leisurely day with delicious food and pool access. Highly recommended!

I hard the best afternoon tea at the lounge last Saturday afternoon. The lounge is very beautiful and entertaining, peaceful and lovely atmosphere. Everything was very delicious and smooth. The service was very good we received from ms Valeria, warm welcome and very attentive. Mr sanjil did his best since my booking to my afternoon tea he giving us the best service. All the personnel are very competent, friendly and helpful. Khalidiya Palace by Rotana provides high quality room, beach, restaurant and all round service! We really enjoyed our time at this hotel! Thank you very much. Animation team, Asya and Darya are the best. They organize daily activities in a very funny and interesting way. We played table tennis, darts and uno. Pleasure and fun!

We had a great experience at the hotel, Shamim from the lobby restaurant gave us an exceptional world class customer service, because for her as well as the waiters, we will book the hotel again. Thank you to the house keeping staff, always professional and hospitable. The security guards always helpful and respectful. The good: I had an excellent welcome. The staff are all very helpful and polite. A special thanks to Nadi and Alex. My room surpassed my expectations. There is a lovely little beach ( but often very crowded) and a great swimming pool that is carefully monitored for the safety of children and to keep the unruly guests in order - more of that in my review. The bad: do not book half board unless you like very, very crowded buffet style food. The choice of food and quality is very high and all is well prepared but it's like a crowded railway station trying to get your choice. Breakfast time is also a nightmare during peak times.. just too many guests and insufficient space for dining. I overcame the crowding problem by waiting for the dinner opening at 18h - earlier than I would have liked but it was the only way. You can try at 21h30 but by then many things are no longer available. For breakfast I went at 06h30. Then it was a great experience and not crowded at all. So the way to play it is 'always' go early. This is mainly a hotel full of Russians and Armenian guests. Many are very rude, badly dressed and disrespectful to the staff and other guests. No one has to beg for service but being polite and using the simple words 'please' and 'thank you' is common courtesy. The Russian and Armenian guests are pushy and their children very badly behaved. They are very poor ambassadors for their respective countries. Doing some research it appears that many Russians come to Dubai and Abu Dhabi so putting up with these people is not just a problem with this hotel. The elevators have insufficient capacity during peak periods for the number of guests and the size of the hotel. You can wait quite a while at times. This is a design flaw and I guess nothing can be done about it now. Overall this hotel might suit some and it certainly has some very good points but do weigh up these downsides before booking. One final point - this is an alcohol free hotel. Based on the behavior of certain guests this is probably a good thing and being alcohol free didn't bother me, but you might wish to consider this before booking.
