I stayed at this hotel for a week with my mom.The hotel organized day trips for us and it was very good. Alongside, the overall team who was great at the hotel and the restaurants. We had dinner three times at the Indian restaurant owned by the hotel called Bukhara. Food was excellent and the service was on spot! Special thanks to Koyel who was our waitress at the restaurant and who delivered a very good service. As a whole, thanks to everyone working at the Kempinski who made our trip special and enjoyable! Wish them all the best for the future and I hope to come back !

Our last day of vacation at this wonderful hotel is coming to an end. My very special thanks go to Rashid from housekeeping – the room couldn't have been cleaner. In the restaurant, The Kitchen, we were treated to culinary delights by Chef Onder, and the service from Angel, Jay, Jahoud, Hannah, and the rest of the team was impeccable. Carl handled room service politely and professionally. Abbas and Durai have already attended to us three times on the beach. This hotel leaves nothing to be desired, and we will definitely be back. Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Kempinski Muscat over Christmas and NYE! A few keypoints that make the this hotel so special for our family: We highly appreciate the extremely kind and professional team at The Kitchen. Suaad, Onder, Jay, Hamdan, Tony, Abou Ahmed, Mark, Cherry and of course Jaouad leave nothing to be desired and have made this stay particularly special! Vast selection of amazing dishes changing every night. Hannah of Cafe One was by our side for the event-nights on NYE and Christmas and she is a true gem. The whole team at the health club were once again fun to be around - same goes for our beloved tennis coach Easy!! The gym is exceptionally well equipped for a hotel gym (no Technogym!!!). The pool and beach team around Abbas and Durai are a true staple of the Kempinski Muscat. As per usual Room Service was excellent and shoutout to Mossaraf! As well as the Room hospitality team around Carl and Shankar. The mix of great hotel facilities with amazing staff makes this hotel our go-to destination for escaping the austrian december cold! Cons: ridiculously loud music on NYE makes dining experience borderline impossible to enjoy Wether you like it or not we‘ll be coming back next year :)

To start with the positives: the buffet, both breakfast and dinner, is excellent. There are endless choices. The staff and the service they provide is immaculate. They are very friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times. The hotel complex itself is nice and well-maintained. The bathrooms are very spacious and nicely designed. The beds are super comfortable and high-quality pillows and blankets are used. Now the negatives, due to which we will not be staying at another Kempinsky. We booked two deluxe rooms with sea view. This is exactly how the rooms are called on booking.com. When we arrived, the rooms overlooked the pool and courtyard of the hotel complex and had no sea view from inside the room, no matter where in the room you were standing. If you went outside to the front of the balcony, you had a little sea view at an angle. We thought we were given the wrong rooms, but reception explained that we booked a “partial sea view” room and not the “complete sea view room” which is supposedly one class up. This is a scam as on booking there is no mention of the room having only partial sea view (which is still a generous way to say you have no sea view at all from inside the room), and the hotel is responsible for how their rooms are advertised on the site. We went through every single detail on booking together with the receptionist to show her this fact. While she was really nice, acknowledged that we were in the right and told us she will pass this on to management, we were still left with a room that wasn’t what was promised and no real solution. The second issue came shortly after this: we booked twin beds in both rooms. This was confirmed to us by reception while checking in, yet one of the rooms had a double bed and no twin. We weren’t offered any appropriate solution (they offered to put an extra mattress in the room, but come on) except for moving to an inferior room. This is extremely frustrating as you expect to get what you paid for, especially at a 5-star hotel. An additional remark: The bathrobes provided are ridiculously small, tight and feel very cheap. They cover nothing when you wrap them around all the way (I wear size S). They are essentially children’s bathrobes, unusable and not what you expect from a 5-star hotel.

I had the pleasure of being served by Marinel at The Kitchen in the Kempinski Hotel Muscat, and I cannot speak highly enough of her exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, she was attentive, gracious, and highly professional, ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was perfect. Her knowledge of the menu and her ability to anticipate our needs made the evening truly memorable. The combination of her warm demeanor, efficiency, and genuine care elevated the dining experience far beyond expectations. Marinel is a true asset to The Kitchen, and her service reflects the high standards and hospitality that the Kempinski brand is renowned for.
