We loved our stay! The views were spectacular from our room on the fourth floor. Be aware that the hotel is located on a hill, there is an elevator, but it does not go down to the pool level and there are two more flights of stairs to get down. The breakfast was excellent with numerous choices. The rooms are adequate and are cleaned daily. We loved walking into town every evening to try the numerous restaurants. The walk into town is manageable, but was a struggle for my dad who is in his eighties. We rented a car and had to park in the 4th level which is an extremely steep hill which may intimidate novice drivers. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at the Kefalonia Bay Palace and honestly don’t understand some of the complaints I’ve seen! The hotel was spotlessly clean, with a charming retro-style decor that gave it a unique and welcoming character – we really enjoyed the vibe. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large balcony that offered incredible views – the perfect place to relax with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The staff were all friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It’s quiet and peaceful, perched above the coast with amazing views, but still only about a 10-minute walk into the village. Honestly, I don’t get why people complain about that – do they not check where a hotel is before they book it?! It’s clearly marked on the map, and for us, the short walk was part of the charm. Yes, there are steps – quite a few of them – but that’s just a feature of the hotel’s hillside design. If mobility is an issue, this may not be the place for you, but if you’re able to walk up and down steps, it’s absolutely worth it. The local beach is stunning – a natural, unspoiled stretch that’s perfect for swimming and snorkelling in crystal-clear water. It felt like a real hidden gem, especially compared to some of the more crowded beaches elsewhere on the island. Breakfast was lovely each morning – a relaxed, unhurried start to the day, with a good variety of options. The whole hotel has a laid-back, peaceful atmosphere that we really appreciated. If we had to mention a downside, there was a strange smell outside the side entry near the hotel lobby at times. It didn’t affect our room or the rest of the hotel, but it was noticeable when walking by that particular area. All in all, we loved our time here and would absolutely stay again. Just do your homework before booking – if you want flat terrain and no stairs, maybe look elsewhere. But if you want gorgeous views, friendly staff, and a peaceful base with an authentic feel, this place is perfect.

Our family of four stayed for a week in a Vila with its own pool and everything was perfect, especially the views and the personal service was excellent. The manager Spiros was genuinely helpful as only a true Greek with a kind heart can. Can't wait to return.

The family room is a bit small for a family of 4, but, the view is to die for. The bads are comfy, the terrace is pretty big. Everyone very welcoming and the breakfast is good.

After careful consideration I have decided to get straight to the point and simply be honest. This may not be to everyone's liking since some people like drama, attention and complain for the sake of complaining. Myself I'm proud to speak my genuine thoughts and honest feelings so here goes. If you thought for one minute you would get the spectacular views as in the brochure without an hillclimb then you need to recharge your brain cells or go buy some glasses. The views from this hotel are out of this world. This island is paradise, totally stunning and well worth a few steps (it's only a few!!l and two lifts, which you would have been told when you booked. The room service was excellent!!! Thank you for all the towel change, cleaning etc, you worked hard. The reception staff were polite, helpful and friendly and the breakfast service was good. We have throughly enjoyed our stay here and would re visit. The only reason I marked as 4 star instead of 5 was the fact that I had indeed upgraded to deluxe room and part of package was robe and slippers which I didn't get, but I'm not upset and some of the furniture was little worn and dated. I did not mention this to the hotel because its not important in life!!! This did not affect my overall holiday and experience and I appreciate it has relative new owners and you are making improvements all the time and Rome was not built in a day unless you have an endless money pot!! So overall a lovely stay and we would come back.
