*11/10 – Unmatched Luxury and Service at Katathani Beach Resort Phuket* If paradise had a name, it’d be Katathani. From the moment we arrived, the lush grounds and that endless turquoise sea stole our breaths – and it only got better. *The Resort:* Spacious rooms, manicured lawns, and a private beach that feels like your own slice of heaven. Every corner is Instagram‑worthy, and the sunset views were second to none *Dining:* Multiple restaurants, each a standout. Fresh seafood, authentic Thai, poolside bites – we devoured our way across the resort and never once disappointed. The buffet breakfast spread was really great *The Team:* Denis, the hotel manager, deserves a raise and a medal. Friendly, attentive, and ridiculously proactive. Thank you for helping us when we had a small problem *Extras:* A world‑class spa – the resort’s got activities if you want ’em, chill vibes if you don’t. The beach was immaculate, the pool’s were clean, and the cocktails? On point. We didn’t want to leave. We will be back Alan Halfon and Family

We recently stayed at Katathani Hotel and had an absolutely amazing experience. It’s truly a beautiful and peaceful resort, perfect for families with small children. There is so much green space — our baby loved crawling around safely and exploring. The beach right in front of the hotel is stunning, clean, and very close, which made every day feel like a dream. The room was spectacular: spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing as well, with a wide selection and great quality food. Another big plus is the location — there are lovely restaurants within walking distance just outside the hotel, which made dinners easy and enjoyable. There were only a couple of small drawbacks: • The humidity inside the room was very high (around 75%) even with everything closed. • Housekeeping kept setting the AC to 21°C, so we were freezing when returning to the room. • In the evening the hotel was quite calm — which can be nice, but there wasn’t much happening entertainment-wise. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was fantastic. Beautiful grounds, a perfect beach, great food, and a family-friendly atmosphere. We would happily return and definitely recommend Katathani to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Phuket.

We went with our 6yo and my elderly parents from Dec 23 to 28. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. The main thing to note is that this resort is functional rather than flashy. However for a family this is a plus. This not a resort for the influencers! Pros - Not busy during this period Altho it got more busy on the 27th. Getting a pool lounger in our location of choice was not a real problem. No need to wake at 6 to claim loungers! - Good choice of pools with lots of loungers to choose from, with shade offered in most areas. Some lovely grassed areas slightly away from the pools were cooler, quieter snd shadier. - Rooms modern, quiet and good aircon - Easy to leave the resort to access local eateries and basic grocery shops like 7-11, as well as plenty of massage places. The resort is located at the end of a local road and the road runs thru the middle of the resort. - Resort is big but not massive. Everything is walkable and the location is flat, no pesky hills! - One Gym has big tv with kids and sports channels as well as PlayStations, table tennis, pool and air hockey - good for parents trying to multi task parenting and exercise Cons to - Alcoholic drinks (bar beer which is the usual) are low quality. - Gym doesn’t open until 7am. - Staffs’ English speaking skills were usually poor - The Spa is disappointing, small and not worth higher price. Massages etc best to get at the alfresco locations found around the resort or even better go to options on the beach or on street. A word on the Christmas gala buffet. This is an intense and decadent affair. The biggest buffet I have ever seen and ever hope to see. If you go make sure you’re hungry! The stage is on the beach side and it’s way too loud so make sure you have a table far away from the stage. If you’re really not keen on hearing the musical entertainment there are some indoor dining areas that air conditioned too. The whole affair is tacky, but if you go with it, it’s good fun and if you like eating then you’ll have a great time.

We just spent 10 nights with family here over Christmas. The resort was perfect for a relaxing holiday with teens and mother in law. The resort is a spectacular location on one of Phuket’s best beaches. We have high standards for beaches coming from Oz but this beach was stunning. Water is warm, calm and clear and very picturesque small protected bay. Highlights of our stay included the stunning Andaman pool, cocktails at the Coconut bar, the Teppinyaki restaurant across the road for a birthday celebration is superb albeit upmarket, traditional Thai massages at the place on the lane opposite the resort entrance, around $20AUD for 1 hour, the Christmas banquet and lights were superb, the staff were happy and took care of us eg fresh water and beach towels etc and the cheap massages from the resort spa team around all the pool areas were a bonus.We have stayed in many resorts over the years and this one topped them all. I think overall good value for a high end resort It is Thai owned and is part of the local community where you can enjoy cheap shopping, bargaining etc tuk tuk rides right on your doorstop.Just book you’ll love it! Our stay at Katathani Phuket Beach Resort was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. Insects were coming up from the bathroom drain, which was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. On top of that, the room had a horrible smell that never went away, making it very uncomfortable to stay there. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, which made the overall experience even worse. Instead of feeling welcome, we felt like a burden. Breakfast was a complete mess. We had to wait around 20 minutes just to get a table because everything was far too small and overcrowded. The whole resort feels like mass tourism and mass processing rather than a relaxing holiday. The food in the resort’s restaurants is hugely overpriced and the quality is very poor for what you pay. Definitely not worth it. Overall, this resort is overcrowded, poorly managed, and not relaxing at all. We will absolutely not come back.
