Katathani Phuket Beach Resort

We recently stayed at Katathani Hotel and had an absolutely amazing experience. It’s truly a beautiful and peaceful resort, perfect for families with small children. There is so much green space — our baby loved crawling around safely and exploring. The beach right in front of the hotel is stunning, clean, and very close, which made every day feel like a dream. The room was spectacular: spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing as well, with a wide selection and great quality food. Another big plus is the location — there are lovely restaurants within walking distance just outside the hotel, which made dinners easy and enjoyable. There were only a couple of small drawbacks: • The humidity inside the room was very high (around 75%) even with everything closed. • Housekeeping kept setting the AC to 21°C, so we were freezing when returning to the room. • In the evening the hotel was quite calm — which can be nice, but there wasn’t much happening entertainment-wise. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was fantastic. Beautiful grounds, a perfect beach, great food, and a family-friendly atmosphere. We would happily return and definitely recommend Katathani to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Phuket.

I can’t fault this resort, best location by the beautiful beach, super variety for the breakfast , few different pools and beach ofcourse. Even thought it was a bit awkward not knowing that the hotel don’t have a sunbeds on actually beach and we had to pay 200bat for sun beds on a first day. And sunbeds gets taken very quickly, again but most ridiculous way ( leave the towels on it) but this is more human stupidity rather than hotel fault. Bed was comfortable, free fresh water in the room, can be quite noisy and windy during the night if you have a beach front rooms. On the other side of the hotel is construction However I didn’t hear a noise once nor during the day nor evening time so isolation quite good so don’t be afraid of it. A bit awkward views from actual restaurant on a construction but that’s about it. Plenty of restaurants all around the Kata streets, we walked many times back and forth , it is a bit of a steep hill but nothing drastic, very walkable. Few shop right next to the hotel not super expensive. So yes to stay in Phuket this is great location. One negative side of entire hotel is quite temperamental staff at the reception, not much smiles you will get from there and feeling like you bother them rather than they are there for the customers.

My personal opinion , this is one of best resort I have ever been in phuket. Huge Impressive and appreciate the hotel employee (every one!) we were overwhelmed by their friendliness. And thanks to Mr. Pingpong for his great hospitality. hotel Ambient is stunning, very well maintain large green lawn with lot of coconut trees by the kata noi beach (an exceptional environment, hardly find) the hotel cover large area ( 5xx rooms) but still feel cozy and sabai. Sabai ! Comfortable Room, large size, (we were in triple room ) well facility, with iron and ironing board, room silence (good sound protection door), controllable airconditioning and sparkling clean. Rich Breakfast with plenty choices , delicious, nutritious and high-quality. Breakfast restaurant located by the bech view. We will definitely come back!

What an amazing holiday! My husband, my daughter and myself enjoyed a little over a week at this fabulous resort that truly has everything you could ask for. Our favourite meal was at the newly launched Prime and Flame. It will go down as one of the best meals of our life - we have both agreed on this. Everything was perfection. We experienced some rain while were there and the resort was proactive at keeping everyone informed regarding the rapid rise of water on the road surrounding the resort. They also took post storm cleaning seriously which was appreciated. The pools are lovely and the poolside service was fantastic. My only wish would be a towel station by the pool. While towels are provided in your room daily, we found that the towel wouldn’t dry sufficiently due to the humidity so we had a damp/wet towel for the whole day. It would have been nice to trade it in for a fresh towel halfway through the day when you plan on spending hours by the pool. Breakfast is great. We noted that we preferred the breakfast at Chom Talay which was conveniently located close to our room. Massages by the pool are a nice touch! Haven’t seen this offered at resorts elsewhere in Phuket. It is a family friendly resort but we didn’t feel like it was overrun with noisy children or anything. It’s very spacious with a lot of room and something for everyone. Staff are lovely! The ladies in Nana Thai were so friendly and welcoming. All in all we cannot wait to come back. I am seriously missing it and will hopefully come back for a longer stay next time!

An amazing resort with endless pools and outstanding restaurants. Facilities kept in great condition. Food was off the charts good - we had full board and actually couldn’t believe the quality and quantity of the food. Particular stand out was the Chom Talay dinner buffet with ability to order outstanding dishes. We had such an amazing time - kids enjoyed the games room, playing on the beach and swimming in all the pools. The service and staff are exceptional - lots of unsung heroes maintaining the grounds and facilities, driving the buggies, giving massages, cleaning rooms etc. The resort is huge with so many onsite restaurants - we tried almost all of them. Loved the ability to do our own laundry. Some things to consider - about 1.5 hours from the airport - expensive to get transport to go anywhere and quite far eg $30 AUD to go to Phuket town - only a few shops and restaurants outside of the resort - our room was damp and musty but otherwise great for 2 adults and 3 kids (extra bed free of charge which was so appreciated) - kids club is very basic and only for small kids - we weren’t able to use it as our kids refused Overall we had the absolute best holiday and will come back for sure.
