I came here for one day on a charged for day pass costing 32 euros. I caught the bus from Chania. What a TREAT! I was allowed to use the indoor and outdoor pools beteen 10 am until 6 pm. I arrived around 12 noon, just in time for lunch "EAT AND DRINK AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE" FROM AN EXTENSIVE AND EXOTIC BUFFET. I chose the outdoor dining area overlooking a river with ducks that runs into the sea I am a pescetarian, but mainly vegetarian. The food was HEAVENLY and the variety amazing. I had 2 huge platefuls of savoury food and lots of delicious CRETAN WINE. I then enjoyed a variety of desserts and fresh fruit followed by a coffee by the outdoor pool area. Later, I relaxed on one of their many lovely sofas to phone home for necessary news.A little more time to relax on the sunbeds and I was ready to leave, a very contented woman. The staff here are extremely courteous and the hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy. I have been left with a very good impression of this hotel and certainly would like to return at some point. Guests need to check with the hotel if day passes are available. I took a chance because I wanted to visit Kalyves and it was late September. There are lots of lovely beaches and places to visit in the Chania region. I am thrilled to have spent a day here. Sherrill Watts.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the beach. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with a great view of the sea from the balcony. The staff made sure everything was perfect, from the friendly check-in to helpful local recommendations. The buffet had a great variety of tasteful choices. It’s clear that the management really cares about guests’ comfort and experience. I would absolutely recommend it. Can’t wait to come back!

We had an excellent stay here at end of september and could only find minor issues with the hotel. Arrival was friendly and we were given a seaview room at the front of the main building which was clean and bright / airy. The shower room is small but has everything needed so was not a problem for us. With all inclusive plus we had wine per person available every day, this had to be asked for at reception to let them know white, red, rose wine etc. On our first morning we spent some time at the pool by the main building which was very cold but that is not unexpected. The bar area by the pool is very good with friendly bar staff and the cocktails were freshly made and very good. We were told by another english couple that there is another cocktail menu for the all inclusive plus that is kept behind the bar so we had to ask for that to get those cocktails. The beach area is well looked after and not generally a problem at all to get a sunbed either by one of the outside pools or on the beach. The sea was beautifully clear and warmer than the pools. Entertainment every evening was generally to a good standard which was nice to see as this is where a lot of hotels tend to lose a point. Food was excellent and varied a bit on a day to day basis. The only criticism i could have here is that there was not a great range of choices although this was a smaller hotel than we are used to so i can't really complain too much about that. We always found things to eat! This was our second holiday of the year and the first we had was probably the best all inclusive / holday we have had ever so Kalyves beach had a lot to stand up to and to be fair this and our previous were different (lively holiday to quiet relaxing holiday) but Kalyves was on par! Which tbh i didn't expect. I would highly reccomend Kalyves beach hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday with everything you need on hand. Thanks for a great holiday!

The Kalyves Beach Hotel is an absolute gem in Crete! The location is simply unbeatable, right on the beautiful sandy beach and just a short walk to the charming village. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and we loved the stunning sea view from our balcony. What truly made our stay special, however, was the staff. From the friendly and hardworking team at the pool bar to the helpful receptionists, everyone was so welcoming and genuinely dedicated to making our vacation perfect, and a special shout-out to Rep Momo, who was wonderful. With the lovely pools and delicious buffet, we had everything we needed for a truly relaxing and memorable holiday. We can't wait to go back!

Really pleasant stay. Can't fault anything really location amazing children's disco daily. Nice rooms clean and comfortable bed. We were all inclusive but midway we upgraded to all inclusive plus as the drinks weren't great but that is pretty typical for all inclusive so no issues there. Also thanks to the staff as asked to organise some flowers etc for my wife for our anniversary and really lovely present for a reasonable price on very short notice as well. Probably the food was the weak point it wasn't bad or anything but quite limited in choices and most meat like pork and chicken quite dry. Also the outdoor pools were really cold its nice that there is an heated pool indor but would have been nice if the outside one was heated.
