Avoid this hotel if you care about your vacation. 1. Service: There is none. The manager is rude, ignores safety rules, and treats guests disrespectfully. Staff seem afraid of him and are unhelpful. 2. “All-Inclusive”: It’s not. Same limited food every day, low quality, and even risk of food poisoning. No other food options around. 3. Drinks: Only the cheapest alcohol is included, served in tiny amounts. Anything decent costs extra. Water isn’t even included after check-in. 4. Beach: No private beach. The nearest one costs €20/day for old sunbeds and broken umbrellas on artificial grass. Water was murky and unpleasant. 5. Rooms: Very outdated, with uncomfortable beds and paper-thin walls. Showers in poor condition. Housekeeping is inconsistent at best. 6. Extras: Beach towels – €4 each. 500ml bottled water – €1.50. No mini-bar. One small water bottle per person at check-in – that’s it. You’re constantly being charged for everything. The place could have potential, but poor management and greed are ruining it. Not recommended.

We booked this while we were already in Crete and didn`t checked a lot befor booking. When we arrived we were absolutely amazed! The hotel is located in an amazing spot, great views, beach, pools, restaurant and rooms. We were upgraded to a suite and it was awesome, everything clean, the staff was always nice and helpful. All inclusive is definitely worth it, we even decided to stay more days after our first booking. Definitely the place you want to stay in Crete.

Got the most expensive room and it's nothing like the photos, only 1 word.... kip or dump... and room floods from shower. As for food, the worst I've eaten in 40 years and my dog gets fed better food. Out dated and place hanging together with dirt I'm guessing. The missus even had to clean the room Thank f##k we only booked 1 night Stay clear or lose your money and be disappointed. No glasses in room or bottle openers and won't give you anything. Anniversary in crete for 2 weeks and 1 night here just brings things down. Sorry for any1 going on hoilday here and please go and stay in chaina area its everything opposite to this dump. And smell of sh1t near rooms and smell in room is nasty Going to stop because I can go on forever If you value your relationship don't bring her here or you'll break her heart

Was back in KALYPSO for 2 weeks in MAY 2025. The setting is beautiful, the place is comfortable, the staff are friendly and the site provides a range of options for relaxing, swimming and chilling. I go by car so its easy to explore nearly and its also fun to walk to lovely local beaches. I enjoyed a massage this time, so professionally performed by Eleni. I go all inclusive and the pool bar is available during the day until 7.00pm and there are drinks available with meals. Very acceptable Mediterranean menu and great salads; nice breakfasts too!! All rooms now have WI Fi which is a great improvement for 2025. So relaxing, so refreshing and so special to be able to watch the sun going down over the Lybian Sea. Will be back later this year to my favourite hotel in Southern Crete MANY MANY THANKS TO KALYPSO staff and management.

I should have written this review long ago, as I stayed in the hotel in August 2023. My bad for not doing so but I think it's still due. I was initially sceptic due to the abysmal reviews on Booking, but still decided to give it a try due to the crazy low price and, above all, the fantastic position. It was beyond my expectations. Of course, you can't expect a Maldivian resort, but it would be ridiculous to do so for about 50 € /person per night, all inclusive, in high season. I can't even start to describe how magnificent the landscape and the sea are, or the fact of sunbathing on the cliffs almost alone, the swimming pool from which you dominate the cost and the promenade in the mountains above. Even the food was fine, while the only *very* bad thing was the house wine included in the all inclusive. The quality/price ratio is incredibly good - our bedroom even had a great view on the sea. I would go there again and I would recommend it!
