We went there for our one day lay over in Male city and it was perfect, it is the only hotel we found with a pool so we lounged there all day. It’s a bit over priced but it’s the only option with a pool and since we wanted to be lounging in a pool so we splurged a bit. Their breakfast buffet is super grand they have everything from generic continental options to even sashimi! And chicken soup! Basically covering almost every continent’s cuisine :)

The service was excellent started from when you landed at Male international airport. there 's staff from JW waited for you and help you to checkin for the seaplane then took you in a nice ride to different terminal and put you in a nice lounge while you were for the seaplane. The hotel is on the private island and it is perfect getaway! Beautiful beach ,Crystal clear water and peaceful. We had butler name Narrwish and he's great. his service is exceptional ! My husband and I enjoy to having him as our butler. The foods were great and love their breakfast! the reason I gave 4 starts because my husband was tried to book for snorkeling twice but got cancelled because they required 4 people for the trip which is disappointed but after all we had a great time at JW Maldives !

We stayed 4 days with 3 nights and we enjoyed the island and facilities. We have been offered to switch from ocean villa to a beach villa which we enjoyed more because of the beach access. I do understand there are high costs involved regarding logistics but I still felt that food and especially drinks were overpriced (that's why the 4 stars)

AWESOME AMAZING GRACIOUS FABULOUS General Manager Mohit Dembla. Mohit made all of our desires and aspirations and wishes come true. He manages JW MARRIOTT MALDIVES Vagaru island at SHAVIYANI Atoll absolutely BEAUTIFULLY AND BRILLIANTLY. EXTRAORDINARY INTELLIGENT Gorgeous Front Office Manager Bhagyashree is SIMPLY AMAZING. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS Indian Vegetarian Vegan was customized for us. DELECTABLE FLAVORFUL APPETIZING Incredible Indian food by extraordinary chefs… Managed by Executive Chef Bir Yadav and includes Chef Rohit Agarwal Chef Kamal Govind Singh Chef Bhagwan Rawat. All appetizers and entrees were precisely customized for us. Everything we ate wasn’t on menu! We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary and JW MARRIOTT MALDIVES Vagaru made it EXTRAORDINARY AND EXTRAVAGANT. Definitely EXTREMELY SPECIAL AND MEMORABLE Experience. Service is OUTSTANDING. Every staff is superb. Butler Gasim was great. BEST VACATION EVER at JW MARRIOTT MALDIVES Vagaru Island and SHAVIYANI Atoll!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

We absolutely enjoyed every second of our stay here, it was a bucket list dream come true! The staff was incredible and so accommodating. The cuisine was so intentional and delicious, better than anywhere we’ve eaten! The kids club was a huge bonus as our daughter loved her time there, didn’t want to leave and couldn’t wait to go back which gave us plenty of time with each other. Our butler Shamil made us feel comfortable and right at home on the island. We are so grateful for him and all the staff on the island. We hope to come back again one day!
