Had a wonderful week at the JS Sol Alcúdia. The breakfast and dinner buffet was always very tasty and staff were very accommodating. The hotel pool was enjoyed by our son and he loved saying hello to the lifeguard. The hotel also has an adult spa area my wife and I enjoyed relaxing in. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and main road for buses. It also has nightly live entertainment. We would recommend staying and come back again. A bit of a warmer outdoor pool and slightly earlier evening entertainment would be our only suggestions. Thanks JS Sol.

Everything was great! Apart from the toilet cleaning, not the cleaners' fault though, there were really notable black moulds on the shower glass, it needs maintenance, changing the white silicon. Nadini the German lady at the reception was amazing taking care of every simple things that we needed at the time. Truly lovely lady, my wife was enchanted by her customer services. Breakfast with loads of options, we did not try the dinner but looked amazing as well.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean room. I found the evening dishes to be too reliant on meat. Most dishes had some sort of meat in or on them and the labelling wasn't clear as to what anything was (or wasn't). So a warning to vegetarians and vegans that the options are (unnecessarily) limited. The worst part was that there was a vegan section with artichokes in a tray that were clearly garnished with bacon bits (I asked to confirm this and the member of staff simply removed the "vegan" label and left them there) 🤦🏻‍♂️

Empress Shan

Stayed at this hotel between 11th-14th Sep (check out 15th). Pros: Meals- Very good variety of meals and breakfast was really good. The queue for hot drinks can get busy so be warned. Hotel Staff- For us the staff were great. From the restaurant chefs, waiters and waitresses and reception they were very helpful and friendly. Great conversation all round. Rooms- The rooms were cleaned everyday by a dedicated cleaner over your stay. Cons- No entertainment around the pool or seating areas through the day. There is soft music playing throughout but it could get a little boring and more engagement needed. Even pool aerobics or something would have been nice Jacuzzi- Only 6 loungers in the Spa. Go very early if you can Small fridge in the rooms. The fridge is on the small (slightly smaller than your standard mini fridge) side and only sizeable for water and small drinks Overall evening entertainment could be of better quality- Not sure if it was due to coming into low season but could have had more variety Bonus pros- 5-8 minute walk to the beach front (maximum). Excellent beach and clear warm water. Very shallow far out!!! 20 minutes walk to Port D'Alcudia Taxi or bus to Alcudia Old Town (Taxi is around 10 mins) and costs between €9-€11.50 each way. Amenities right on your doorstep. Overall enjoyable stay. Would Recommend

Wonderful hotel in a strategic position, the staff was simply superb. Modern and very efficient hotel with a pool, close to the beach, many restaurants and to the bus for Alcudia (which is very nice) or Can Picafort. I stayed 9 nights, a special thanks to all the staff (concierge, bar and restaurants) who are so nice, available, helpful and knowledgeable (they can give you great recommendations regarding trips). They really try hard to make you happy, they made my vacation great. I chose the half board, breakfast and dinner are buffet, plenty of choices for all tastes: every night you could choose between grilled fish and meat, fish and meat dishes cooked in many different ways, pizza, pasta, paella, cheeses, tapas, desserts and so on. You can have breakfast and dinners outdoors or indoor, depending on your preference. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone: couples, families also with small children, solo travelers, guests with pets. It's not my first time in Mallorca, I would definitely go back. A special thanks to all the staff.
