The Joy Island All-Inclusive concept includes the following:

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the main restaurant,
  • Afternoon tea/coffee with snacks (4.30pm to 6pm)
  • Bottled water and drinks served by the glass, including soft drinks, beer, espresso, sparkling wine, house wine and pouring spirits such as gin, vodka, whiskey, brandy, tequila, rum, arrack and martini (10am to 12 midnight, drinks consumed after 12 midnight will be charged at the normal rate)

We had a perfect stay at Joy Island. The staff’s organization and professionalism were outstanding. From the moment we arrived at the airport until the very end of our trip, we were consistently met with kindness, warmth, and efficiency. The island’s facilities are excellent, beautifully maintained, and designed to provide both comfort and relaxation. What truly made our experience special was the team. Every staff member was genuinely friendly, attentive, and always welcoming. A special thanks to Hassaan, our host, who ensured that every detail of our stay was exceptional. Had the most amazing time at Joy Island . The staff was amazing and very friendly. They were so hospitable and made us feel welcome and made sure we were looked after. Naveen was very attentive and always making sure we got what we needed. The restaurant staff Tutu, Richal,Remi,Sandun, rozairo and all staff had a smile on their faces and made us feel at home. Apart from that Hambe, Raghu, Bandula, Sanih, and rest of the management team and chefs Anton , Iresh and Tharanga were amazing. The food was a major highlight. Chef Tharanga’s Sri Lankan crab meal was sensational, and Pastry Chef Iresh is a genius with his pastries and desserts. A special mention to the tiramisu—it is hands down one of the best we have ever tasted anywhere in the world! Thank you also to Chef Anton, Chef Sandun, and the whole kitchen crew for their amazing hospitality. We can’t wait to come back! Can’t list all the names here but everyone was so nice to us and we will come again for sure. Thank you Joy island staff and management. Keep up the great work!❤️

I recently stayed 6 days at Joy Island, and I felt the need to write this review for future travelers who are considering spending their Maldives vacation here. From the spectacular beaches you get to enjoy to the outstanding service (which, in my opinion, is one of the most important parts of a great holiday) this experience truly stands out. Starting with the arrival and accommodation: we were welcomed very warmly and given a tour of the island along with clear explanations of the available activities. Our accommodation was stunning from the first moment, with a terrace opening directly onto one of the island’s beautiful beaches. From what I could see, all rooms have direct beach access, which is a huge plus. Overall, the accommodation is a 10/10, no complaints at all. There are many included activities such as tennis, paddle, the games room, the main pool, and the gym: perfect for staying active during your stay. Other activities like diving, spa treatments, and jet skis are paid, but everything is explained clearly in advance, so there are no unexpected charges at the end. The highlight of our stay was definitely the service. Every staff member was consistently kind, attentive, and ready to help with a smile. They make you feel genuinely comfortable and cared for. I would especially like to mention Isse from housekeeping, who kept our room spotless every day and always showed such a warm and positive attitude. Also Gracia from the buffet restaurant, who remembered our names from the very beginning despite serving so many guests, and always took the time to check in with us. She truly makes guests feel at home. I highly recommend Joy Island if you are looking for a vacation full of great experiences, beautiful scenery, and unforgettable hospitality. I wish all future guests a wonderful stay in the Maldives.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our stay at Joy Island in the Maldives. The food was delicious with a great variety of options, and we were mesmerized by the crystal-clear turquoise waters that you simply cannot find in Japan. Swimming in such pristine beauty was truly a highlight of our trip. The water villa was particularly outstanding. Waking up to breathtaking ocean views right from our room was an experience we’ll never forget. The villa’s design perfectly captures the essence of a tropical paradise, offering both comfort and stunning scenery at every turn. We must give special recognition to Naseem, who made our stay exceptional. He was incredibly responsive to all our questions and inquiries, always replying promptly. His attention to detail was remarkable – he kindly and professionally arranged everything we needed throughout our stay, ensuring every aspect of our visit was perfectly coordinated. His warm hospitality and dedication truly elevated our experience. Joy Island exceeded all our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Maldivian paradise experience. We’re already looking forward to returning someday.

This resort was simply excellent. The location is ideal- close enough to the Male airport to use a free speedboat rather than a restrictive and expensive seaplane (so you can bring all the baggage you want to!), but it is still isolated and looking out into the Indian Ocean. The island was well-structured to have a relaxing and private atmosphere, including a silent beach and a reserved area for children. With the lagoon villas being further out for privacy and optimal views, we got a lot of steps in but appreciated the option to request buggies when need be. The lagoon villas were quiet throughout the day and it was lovely to be able to jump right into the water. The reef was surprisingly good, particularly the rose garden behind 319-322 on the eastern lagoon villa side. The room was beautiful and spacious with regular cleanings and great amenities. The food was shockingly good in the main Market restaurant with great diversity within a meal and over the week- the Maldivian food was a special highlight! The staff went above and beyond at every chance, particularly our kind host Naseem, meal hosting by Gracia and Tutu, humor from Rishal at dinners, excursions with Shimaam, Mohamed with housecleaning (and special designs for our birthdays!), coral adoption with marine biologist Asia, and diving instruction with Carolina. The excursions and activities were amazing- we snorkeled with turtles and sharks, did an introductory dive, took the dolphin and regular sunset cruises, adopted and planted coral (which we strongly recommend to give back to the environment!), swam with the seabobs, played on the inflatable obstacle course, and enjoyed delightful massages (do it outside by the beach to hear the sounds of the water). I thought it was phenomenal value for your money all around and the staff really shined to ensure you had a lovely visit. I cannot wait to recommend Joy Island to family and friends, and I truly hope to return!
