Ray was an absolute joy to have for our butler service, she was fantastic, she took care of all our requests. We also had Henry for our breakfast server, we made sure we sat in his area, he was funny and a bundle of joy to experience daily. I loved the rooms and how clean the resort was kept. I’m very picky about the cleanliness of the room, bathroom, outdoor seating, everything actually and I must say this resort definitely lives up to their 5 star rating. Everyone we encountered resort staff and other guests made the experience great. We can’t wait to return!!!

We had the most amazing stay at Joia Resort in Punta Cana! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Our butler, Valentin, went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our trip was perfect—he was attentive, professional, and always one step ahead of what we needed. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful pools, incredible food, and such a relaxing atmosphere. A special thank you as well to Yajaira, who kept our room spotless and welcoming every day with such care and attention. Her kindness and hard work did not go unnoticed! If you’re looking for the perfect getaway in Punta Cana, Joia Resort is it. We can’t wait to come back!

Our family received exceptional service during our stay! The resort is top notch! The customer service is amazing and we plan to return again. Our butler, Edward went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed every single day! He sent us a daily schedule of events and even made us reservations to the Hibachi restaurant. All of the waitstaff and concierges were gracious and welcoming! Carlos, our waiter at many of the restaurants was such a joy and even went out of his way to talk with our family each time we saw him!

Just leaving after 1 week stay, last week of August was slow so less people which was nice but some restaurants were closed certain nights due to minimal guests. Unfortunately I do not speak Spanish and translation was a minor issue with some staff. We had butler service and Cofe and Reynaldo who both spoke English and were extremely helpful and always willing to help with whatever was needed, highly recommend them. Not often but sometimes felt like some of other staff wasn't as friendly and accommodating as I expected at a five star hotel. Food was great at all restaurants and all meals, message was also above average as we did 80 minute couples message. Nightly entertainment was good but the shows with the exception of the "Circus" were repeattative but still enjoyable. Went on a full day safari excursion booked while at hotel, got to see "local" life including market, school, church and chocolate factory. Tour was great but left at 7:30 and returned at 5 pm, felt we spent too much time at some stops and could have shortened the day but a once in a lifetime experience to see how the locals live so enjoyed that. Always felt safe and enjoyed our visit.

He went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our trip was perfect. Whether it was arranging dinner reservations, surprising us with thoughtful touches in our room, or always being available with a friendly smile and helpful attitude—Junior was incredible. He made us feel truly special and taken care of throughout the entire stay. If you’re looking for a high-end escape with top-tier amenities and service that feels personal and genuine, Joia by Iberostar is the place to be. And if you’re lucky enough to be assisted by Junior, you’re in for a truly VIP experience.
