We spent a ten-night holiday here. Overall we enjoyed a lot. We were assigned to a very spacious room with two balconies, both facing the sea and garden. The surroundings (garden, lanes and beach) are well kept, clean and tidy. It is place for enjoying sunshine and relaxing moments. It's definitely not the place for people seeking city bustle. Staff are polite and supportive.

Recently been there with my family. Not recommended for mauritian guests. They give More preferences to foreigners only. Not all staff are friendly. Some doesn’t know how to smile. My first day of breakfast, an Indian tall and thin waiter refused to wash my baby’s cereal bowl, he refused me on my face by saying “NO”. The cook who made the omelet kindly cleaned it for me when i ask. For lunch i was charged forț my 1 year old puree. Second day for breakfast they did not cleared our dirty plates meanwhile for other guests they were doing so. Just because their manager came over, quickly my dirty plates were cleared off just in time that also when i finished my breakfast. Overall buffet food was good. The staff during dinner were more welcoming and friendly. They even approached if we needed anything. The guy and two other girls who were singing karaoke,I also saw them doing activities during the day too, they were the good vibes for this hotel. At “respose Spa” the spa service was relaxing. While checking out we carried our luggages all by ourselves. Lift also was not working. All inclusive package applhcable only for foreigners not local guests. Check out process was just paid the bill thats all, they do not even ask how was your stay or was there any issues encountered. Not coming again.

The location is absolutely stunning and peaceful. The place is big, spacious, and when I went, there were barely any tourists, which made it feel private and calm. During low tide, you can actually walk far into the sea, which is such a beautiful experience. The food was limited, especially for vegetarians, and the barman was not very helpful when I asked about the specialty; she just mentioned to look at the menu. The room was okay, but the AC was not working, and as a couple, we were given twin beds with no option to change. The hotel could use a bit of renovation, but the pool, garden, and sea view are lovely. Overall, it is a good spot if you are looking for peace and scenery rather than luxury.

Discriminatory, Unhygienic, and Utterly Disappointing I recently stayed at Jalsa Beach Hotel with my family, and it was one of the most upsetting hotel experiences we have ever had. While the pool and the proximity to the sea are lovely, they do not make up for the appalling service and lack of basic standards. Discrimination & Poor Reception: My parents visited the hotel prior to our stay to request rooms with an ocean or pool view. The receptionist assured them she would do her best. However, upon arrival, the same receptionist assigned us the worst rooms possible, overlooking a noisy construction site with barking dogs. When we questioned this, she claimed those rooms required an extra fee (never mentioned before) and then made the outrageous statement that those rooms are not offered to Mauritian nationals. It is insulting to suggest that our money is "not as good" as a foreigner’s. We eventually got the rooms after expressing our justified anger, but the damage was done. Hygiene & Food Issues: The dining experience was a disaster: • Pests: We actually saw a rat in the dining room during dinner. • Buffet Quality: The food variety was poor, and the equipment was in disrepair with broken lids on the buffet plates. • Staff Attitude: During tea time, servers were stingy and acted like they didn't want to be there. • Management Conduct: When my parents complained to the F&B Manager and Head Chef, they were met with more insults. The chef told them that "people like us" should stick to eating Dhal Puri. This level of condescension from senior staff is unacceptable. Lack of Etiquette: The hotel fails to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere. During dinner, we had to witness a couple engaging in highly inappropriate physical intimacy at their table in front of their child and other guests. The staff did nothing to manage the decorum of the dining room. Verdict: Between the blatant discrimination against locals, the rodents in the restaurant, and the rude management, I would strongly advise everyone—especially Mauritians—to take their business elsewhere. This hotel needs a serious reality check regarding its "hospitality."

Room was cozy but my bathroom had a stench. Receptionist and the valets were welcoming and showed us hospitality, unlike the staffs who served us during tea time. This man had an arrogant look and speaked in a harsh way. Scenery, beautiful. Overall, it would had been a pleasant place to stay if the management took time to fix the plumbing problem in the bathroom that caused a stench, and if they had trained staffs.
