I was on a vacation in Mauritius, and I stayed in Jalsa beach. It's a beautiful hotel with a nice view. The manager is so nice. And they don't waste time to clean the rooms, that I like about them. Their buffet too ain't bad. But I think the hotel needs a renovation, it's really old.

Title: Disappointing Stay at Jalsa Beach Resort - A Review I recently had the misfortune of staying at Jalsa Beach Resort, and I am compelled to share my experience in the hopes that others can avoid the disappointment I endured. From the moment I arrived, the lack of hospitality was glaringly apparent. There was no one available to assist with my luggage, a basic courtesy I had expected as standard. The absence of a warm welcome set a disheartening tone for the rest of my stay. I found myself having to lug my own bags to my room, questioning the value of the 'all-inclusive' package I had paid for. The resort was severely understaffed, which meant that even the simplest of services were hard to come by. At tea time, the 'all-inclusive' package felt like a hollow promise with only two snack options available. This was a small preview of the subpar dining experiences that would follow. The room I was assigned to was far from the relaxing haven one looks forward to on a beach vacation. I was greeted by outdated furniture, a pervasive musty odor, and an empty refrigerator that echoed the overall sense of neglect. This certainly wasn't the escape I had envisioned. Service at the bar was equally frustrating, with only two staff members struggling to keep up with the guests' requests. The result was a long, tiresome wait for a simple cup of coffee or a drink, further dampened by the staff's indifference. Not once was I met with a smile or a sense of eagerness to help. Dinner was a dismal affair, both in terms of quality and variety, and the evening's entertainment, or lack thereof, did nothing to lift the spirits. The absence of security personnel after dark was unnerving, and the paucity of pool towels only added to the list of inadequacies. When I did manage to request a towel, the staff's manner was so discourteous that it left a sour taste. The resort's leisure activities, which finally commenced at 11 am, were marred by the same unwelcoming attitude. Any inquiries were met with rudeness, making it clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority. On the day of my departure, the consistent disregard for guest experience was evident to the very end. I had to carry my luggage to the car without assistance, and the lack of waste bags in the room was a minor but telling oversight. In summary, my experience at Jalsa Beach Resort was far from the idyllic beach getaway I had hoped for. The resort failed to meet even the most basic standards of service and hospitality. It is with a heavy heart and a sense of regret that I write this review, and I can say with certainty that I will not be returning to Jalsa Beach Resort. The memory of this experience will serve as a reminder to seek accommodations elsewhere, where the quality of service and attention to guest comfort are held in higher regard.

Dear Readers, (Its Nightmare to Stay with Them) I would like to provide a quick summary of my recent six-day stay at Jalsa Beach Hotel. After reading several reviews, I had mixed feelings as opinions ranged from positive to negative. However, I decided to proceed with my reservation. Upon arrival, the check-in process was smooth and professional. The receptionist was courteous and genuinely helpful. The rooms, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations considering the amount of money paid. They appeared more like dormitory rooms, lacking certain amenities such as a stocked mini bar, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower caps, and earbuds. The only available items were soap, shampoo, and bath gel. The housekeeping staff was professional and courteous. They promptly attended to our requests and provided satisfactory service. However, the hospitality of the waitstaff and bartenders left much to be desired. They lacked proper training in customer service and often came across as rude and arrogant. Their lack of smiles and welcoming attitudes were disappointing. Additionally, it seemed that different managers had varying standards and procedures, resulting in confusion for guests. I recall an incident on the first day when I went to have dinner in sleeves, as dictated by the dress code mentioned by the receptionist. The food was enjoyable. However, on the second day, Manager Avinash informed me that dining with sleeves was not permitted according to their rule book. I brought up the fact that I dined the previous day with sleeves and no objection was raised. This made him angry, and he even asked for my room number, seemingly attempting to intimidate me. Breakfast was served in buffet style and initially offered a good variety. However, it became monotonous after a few days. Dinner options were plentiful, but unfortunately, the taste of the food was underwhelming, with most dishes lacking flavor. On the last day, I observed that some food was carried over from the previous day. Specifically, I had a dish that was on the menu the day before and it was completely stale (Ratatouille). This resulted in a horrible dinner experience followed by food poisoning, which caused vomiting and diarrhea throughout the night. When I approached the reception for assistance and asked for some medication, they denied my request. The staff member at the desk gave me a dismissive look, displaying a lack of concern for my well-being. I had to take a taxi to obtain the necessary medicine. As a frequent traveler, I have never encountered a resort and spa that lacked basic courtesy and hospitality like Jalsa Beach Hotel. It was a disappointing experience and left me with negative impressions overall.

Not worth it, it's a total rip-off. Black mold, stray dogs, and stale food gave me food poisoning. I paid for an all-inclusive package to be told that snacks during the day and beverages between 11pm and 11am are chargeable, and the minibar in the room is empty. Old used towels and bedding and a very tiny strip of sand that can't be called a beach. There are better options on the island for the same money.

We stayed at jalsa beach for 3 weeks in March, we enjoyed ourselves the staff were great and it was nice to speak to the manager, some hotels we have been in, you never do see the manager. The only disappointment was there wasn't anything close by.
