Out of the four stays I have had in the Maldives, JA Manafaru was by far the best, especially when it comes to service. The level of attention and care from the staff truly made this experience stand out. A special mention must go to the culinary team, and in particular to Chef Moosa. He was always available, smiling, and genuinely joyful, even during what was clearly a very stressful period. His positive energy and dedication made every dining experience feel personal and special. The New Year’s Eve buffet was simply outstanding, like a food-market-style setup with an impressive variety and exceptional quality. The house reef is beautiful, with a wide variety of marine life, making snorkeling a real pleasure. What also really impressed me was the management team: very present, approachable, and always available, which creates a reassuring and welcoming atmosphere throughout the stay. Overall, JA Manafaru delivers an exceptional experience, combining outstanding service, excellent cuisine, a beautiful reef, and strong, attentive management. A truly memorable stay and without hesitation the best of my Maldivian experiences so far.

We arrived thinking the Maldives might be boring — and left after one of the best family vacations of our lives, all thanks to JA Manafaru. From the moment we landed in Malé, everything felt effortless. Airport meet & greet, smooth transfers, and genuine care from start to finish. Arriving by seaplane was unforgettable — a warm welcome at the pier with smiles, cold coconuts, and icy towels after a long journey. We stayed in an overwater villa — absolutely perfect. Tip: choose odd-numbered villas (501, 503, etc.) for more privacy, quieter evenings, and better views. Service deserves special mention: housekeeping twice a day, spotless rooms, evening treats, and staff who are always warm, attentive, and proactive. Boredom is impossible here. Fishing trips, dolphins swimming next to the boat (twice!), great snorkeling right from the piers and villas — fish, reef sharks, starfish everywhere. A must for families: evening beach walks with a flashlight — crabs of all sizes, kids loved it. Don’t miss the stingray pier at night — reef sharks almost every evening. Food is outstanding across all restaurants. Kakuni for great daily dining (excellent Pad Thai), Andiamo for pizza & pasta (chefs gladly customize dishes), Ocean Grill for a fun live lobster dinner, and White Orchid — hands down the best lunch of my life. A unique bonus: the only underground wine cellar in the Maldives — impressive even if you’re not a wine lover. New Year’s Eve was on another level: an incredible Gala Dinner with every cuisine imaginable. Pro tip — skip lunch that day. Final thought: JA Manafaru is an island where service feels effortless, food becomes a memory, and every day brings something new. We traveled as a big family and left truly happy. Can’t wait to come back.

This was my second stay at JA Manafaru, and it was just as incredible as the first. The island is pure paradise — crystal-clear waters, lush greenery, and total tranquillity. My Beach Villa was luxurious and peaceful, and the housekeeping team kept everything spotless and beautifully arranged. The restaurant staff were wonderful — always friendly, attentive, and happy to accommodate special requests. Even the management team added a personal touch by checking in to ensure everything was perfect. Everything from the pools to the activities was perfectly maintained and thoughtfully managed. Every team member went above and beyond to make my visit unforgettable. Thank you, JA Manafaru — I can’t wait to return to this little piece of paradise again!

🌴 JA Manafaru, Maldives – a place that will stay in your heart forever 🌴 On the Maldives, you’ll find many beautiful resorts – white beaches, turquoise waters, and endless sunshine are everywhere. But few places truly live with heart. That’s what makes JA Manafaru so special. ❤️ We spent 11 wonderful nights here, and from the moment we arrived until the moment we waved goodbye from the boat, we felt like part of one big family. Every smile, every little attention, every “how are you today?” was genuine. It’s clear the staff love what they do and take care of guests with real joy and respect. If I had to highlight one person who made our stay perfect, I’d need the full list of all employees 😉 – because everyone contributed in their own way. But one name deserves a special mention: our amazing buttler Rizam ❤️, who was always one step ahead and fulfilled every wish with a smile. And the cuisine? An absolute delight! 👨‍🍳 Besides the great variety of dishes, I must highlight their home-prepared smoked tuna and salmon, which you don’t see every day. The flavors were outstanding! Add to that fresh, crispy bread and homemade ice cream, where every ingredient shines. You can truly taste the love in the food. JA Manafaru is not just a luxury resort. It’s a place where guests are cared for with heart and where you feel truly welcome. 🌟 Every one of its five stars is well deserved. 🌟

I stayed here to celebrate my birthday but was very disappointed. The management treated guests unfairly and inconsistently as I wasn't allowed to film with a drone (which I had confirmed by email before booking), yet influencers before and after me were allowed to do so without any issue. When I raised this, I was given misleading answers which felt dishonest and disrespectful. On the positive side, the housekeeping staff, restaurant servers, diving team, photographer and especially my butler Mohammed were excellent. However, overall I regret choosing this hotel for a special occasion. I wouldn't recommend it for celebrating personal events as you won’t feel comfortable or treated equally as a guest.
