We came for some rest and relaxation and that is definitely what we got. We loved our stay here. We hung out by the pool and beach. In the evening we smoked some shisha as we drunk our cocktails. My family and I loved the place. At night Big John (concierge) was very helpful and always available. We really had a great stay. Service was just perfect.

As regular guests of this resort for 2 years i am so unhappy with cleaning and repairing the rooms! As usual we booking two rooms for a family, and checked in evening time around 8 pm we saw long black hair on pillow, i thought it might be from previous guests. Then i went to washroom and there was bunch of hair! Seriously guys! I need to spend my holidays to call to reception and make a complaint. You have enough time to clean and prepare the room! It should be in this way. I came with infant to have not cleaned and dirty room!

Good location, responsive room service, clean and comfortable room, fast check out. It was an excellent stay. Located slightly further away from city centre and therefore offers quiet surroundings for good rest. Special thanks to Mr. INDIKA. He was helping guy and arrange the rooms for our entire family in one floor and given best room with beautiful view.

I’m an Always On Vacation member for many years with Jebel Ali Resort. I was at the beach and called for help with the buggy car as I had 3 baggages with me to carry to the car park and was unable to do so alone with 45c heat. At first the hotel reception was reluctant on the phone and said they would try to arrange something but didn’t show up after half an hour. I carried the baggages one by one towards the cart path from the beach, hoping to flag down a buggy car to help me. I came across a banquet staff standing next to several buggy cars used for the event set up and asked if I could get a short ride to the car park and they refused and asked me to walk further to the bar to get help. I walked to the Sand Bar, feeling sick from the heat and begged the team there to help me with a buggy car. Michael from the Sand Bar ignored my desperate call for help and refused to call a buggy car because he didn't know what an Always On Vacation club member is (if a guest is feeling sick and desperately needs help, it's common sense that you don’t ask which room number and what a Always On Vacation club member is as a response!!!). I’m beyond speechless, no one from the Jebel Ali Resort has any empathy and they don’t care at all. It’s really sad to see that JA Resort staff are fed-up, cold, unmotivated and untrained, and have created such poor experience to a loyal guest member. The level of staff professionalism and services have noticeably gone downhill after these years. I would not recommend to my friends anymore to book this hotel and to those who are looking for a great experience, avoid this hotel. To the hotel management team, if you read this review, please look into this and really question the reasons behind Michael's reluctance to help a guest who was sick. This is really concerning... P.S. the buggy cars were readily available at the car park (I took a picture) so there was no excuse that the buggy cars were busy!

Visited last in 2017. Returned August 2023. This hotel has gone down hill. Buffet food is very bloating. The only good food is from the cooking station which is not well labelled. Captains beach bar (only outdoor restaurant open in summer) has a small selection of low quality food mainly pizzas and salads and again food is bloating. The main pool bar only has 1 staff working so takes 10 mins + to get served. I felt really sorry for this guy as there is only 1 staff member and no air con for him in the 35+ heat of august which is cruel! We offered him a drink on us and he said he was not allowed!? Go to the infinity pool bar for quicker service (more than one staff here and air con for the staff thank goodness). There is now all inclusive and all inclusive + packages be careful which you have booked as there are a lot of exclusions! The pre dinner drinks listed on the all inclusive booklet at JA lake view lobby DOES NOT EXIST. None of the staff know what you are talking about when you ask. Also after eating we are asked to sign a bill. Fine but 9/10 times there were mistakes! The restaurant manager Anjali said she had removed a charge that we had not ordered in one instance and we found this on our bill at the end. Another demonstration of the incompetence of the staff Pools are good but very dirty. They were never cleaned in our time there (week in August). Filled with spilled drinks and dirt. Not to mention packed with kids. I have since seen that kids go free which explains it…The sea is also dirty! It had not been maintained as this used to be cleaned. Rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment. Firstly the rooms offered stank of smoke. We had to argue for an hour with reception to change our room which we had to eventually pay for as the only rooms available were more expensive. How is this our fault??? After upgrading, we had 3 rooms in total and 1 smelt of damp/mould. The other two had recurring problems with the door locking mechanism ruining 4/7 of our nights here with numerous trips to reception! We had to battle with reception to get anything done! This is not 5 star service. This hotel used to be accommodating but is now a cheap all inclusive. PLEASE pay a little extra and go to another hotel. We also checked out JA palm tree court and lake view on our trip and here is what I have to say. Palm tree court - villa style, some villas are quite far from the main building and pools but the buggy service is very good and the all inclusive package includes more so might appeal if you don’t mind not being in a hotel. Please note the service will be the same Lake view - very busy, open corridors and open plan dining hall /entertainment/ lobby meaning they are very noisy as lots of entertainment goes on in the main lobby. Just seems very chaotic and not relaxing. Very far from the main pools and beach (5-10 minute buggy). Personally I don’t think this is worth it. Impressive and modern just to visit for the evening. All in all this is a 4 star hotel AT MOST. I suspect management has changed and this hotel has gone severely down hill. This hotel leaves a lot to be desired for. They no longer care about guests as they cannot cope with the footfall. Please do not visit as it is very expensive and not worth it at all. Spend your money somewhere else.
