Had an excellent time at the Intercontinental!
We arrived after a long flight, our room wasn’t ready so ICE from the reception upgraded our room without charge! The room is large and just beautiful! Everything is clean. The staff is extremely kind and gracious. Truly amazing place. The hotel is very far from Phuket’s center(30 min drive) but we didn’t mind being remote. The hotel has a very nice beach.

Thank you InterContinental Phuket for your wonderful service, friendly and attentive staff and beautiful resort and rooms! We had a wonderful stay and cannot compliment the great staff enough. They attended to our every requests immediately and with good friendly service. The rooms were beautiful, big and clean. And the facilities were great, from the pool to the fitness center, everything was perfect. They also showered lots of love and attention on my little one, who had a great time!

You get what you pay for at intercon.
Their kids club is pretty good and overall, the food was high quality without much waiting time.
The infinity pool is a bit random and with a lack of service on that floor, not really an attraction.
It helps that the resort has beach access and is opposite Delmar, makes it convenient.
The toiletries need an upgrade, it was impossible to use the shower gel dispensers. Far from five star standard those!

The hotel is amazing, and nice staff..
the utilities and room service is really good…
UNTILL they decided to cut off the water for the rooms for maintenance reason!!
4 hours without running water for shower or toilets!
when calling the reception, they were like we left you a paper to notify you.. like who reads this papers.. this is not even acceptable even if you leave 100 papers.. so disappointing!!
Nightmare!

This is my first stay with Intercontinental Phuket. I am a diamond elite with IHG for sometime and have tried many of their hotels during several vocations in the past but for Intercontinental Phuket, this is my first stay. Intercontinental Phuket is located in Kamala beach, on the east side of Phuket. The location is closer to many activities and attractions for traveler and is not far from Patong beach, Still - Kamala beach is not as busy as Patong and you can still able to get a peaceful beach walk on some morning.
For this stay, I use a reward points to claim a reward night (standard room) since the Intercontinental price for standard room during Song-kran festival in Thailand is over my allowed budget. Around couple day before the reservation date, hotel upgrade my reservation from standard room to premium pool access.
Intercontinental Phuket resort split to 2 side and connect with a tunnel under the highway, the beach side and mountain side. On our arrival, I drive to checking in at the Mountain side. Upon parking my rented car at the main building, hotel staff taking care of the baggage and valet parking for us. Check-in took about 10 minutes and during the time, hotel staff serve us with welcome drink and cold towel for refreshing. Checking in is very fast and smooth.
The room that we stayed is a pool access premium room. The room is not small, but due to it layout and design, make it feel small. There is no desk/working table for laptops or for writing something, the best location for this type of activity is at the dressing table in the bathroom. There is very limit space in the room. Overall, I do not feel the room is comfortable and not fell luxury or premium as the brand suggested. The best thing about the room is bedding which is very comfortable. Pool is accessible but due to the clustering design of the pool, there are other guests almost all the time sun-bathing in front of our room. So, privacy is not existed.
Apart from that, the hotel building, layout and its architecture is very unique and beautiful. There are lots of Instagram photo spots in the resort. Breakfast is good, services are top notch and of cause the price is also top notch for everything too.
On the beach side guest can walk there through a tunnel under highway that split the resort in two sides. Kamala beach is nice expressly early morning when there are not so many travelers there. Club Intercontinental is also at the beach side. Afternoon tea and evening cocktail and canape also serve at the club. The food is good and drink menu have many drink to choose from, every drink is nice and if you try every one of them, you probably will get drunk.
Overall, we have a good stay here in Intercontinental Phuket even though the room is not feel very comfortable, one thing that I will consider whether will book this resort again in the future is its value for money. If the price is approximately same with other luxury resort or not much higher, I probably consider to stay at Intercontinental due to my IHG elite status allow me to access to Intercontinental club lounge. But if the prices is significantly higher, other brand such as Marriott, Pullman, Hyatt would be better in my opinion.
