We arrived in Phuket in a cruise ship which overnighted there so we opted to disembark and stay at the Intercontinental. The cruise authorities could not release our passports to us immediately so I called and spoke with Frankie. We had a photo copy of our passports and drivers license and Frankie assured us we could check in with that. Upon arrival we were greeted with tea and a cold towel, our room was not ready so Frankie gave us drink coupons and a changing room so we could use the pool. He was so kind and polite and very professional. We had delicious “welcome cookies” in our room. The grounds were beautiful, they had plenty of swimming pools and restaurants to choose from. The lunch at the beach bar was delicious as well as dinner in the restaurant. We would definitely stay there again.

Our overall experience at the hotel was mixed. While there were some thoughtful touches and kind gestures, several aspects left room for improvement. Staff Knowledge: We felt that both the massage therapists and the reception staff could benefit from more training and knowledge to better assist guests. 2. Room Maintenance Issues: In our room, the minibar was not working and the wardrobe light was faulty. Although we reported both issues, only the minibar was repaired during our stay. 3. Slow Room Service: Room service was quite slow. Additionally, for any request, you are required to dial “0” and wait for it to be arranged, which can take a while. I would have expected some essential amenities to already be available in the room, such as a dental kit, paper and pen, shaving kit, sewing kit, or bath foam. 4. Evening Entertainment: The events held on the beach in the evenings were not up to the standard one would expect from a five-star hotel. 5. Bar Options: Apart from the Pine Bar, we couldn’t find any other bar near the poolside or in the lobby area. Having more bar options would definitely enhance the experience. Positive Notes: The hotel manager kindly arranged a complimentary treat for our special occasion, which we greatly appreciated. Additionally, if availability allows, they offer complimentary room upgrades, which is a nice touch.

Pine Restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience with a great atmosphere. The food is delicious, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. They are more than happy to give helpful recommendations on the menu, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable meal

Overall my stay was great - very kind, friendly, helpful staff, waiting on you hand and foot. Beautiful hotel and white temple. They cooked me a bland fried rice because I was recovering from food poisoning from another location. They let me stay after check out in their air conditioned lounge and relax for as long as I needed since my flight wasn’t until 11:30pm. Just a few minor critiques: there’s lots of calls and interruptions (with good intentions - like asking how the room is, turn down service and reconfirming a room service order you just placed) but sometimes travelers just want to relax in peace after a long day. Very minor but I also wish there was a bathrobe in my room. Lastly, the pool access from my room was covered in leaves so wasn’t really tempted to go for a swim.

Have a really great stay here for 3 days 2 nights. Got upgraded on the arrival by the lovely staff, K.Make with the beach-front view room. His hospitality is very excellent - really appreciate his assistance and the way he ensures the guests will have the best experience here as well as other staffs. The room is very nice and clean. The food is excellent. There’re a lot of activities and facilities to enjoy while staying.Will definitely come back whenever we visit phuket again. Highly recommend.
