Items taken from our room.
I wish I could give a positive review as the hotel and staff largely are lovely and made the trip however the lack of help in returning items removed from our room is unacceptable.
Two items were accidentally taken together on our first day there and one of the items was able to be returned before I left. The other I was constantly told is being "searched for" despite being with the other suspiciously was not found. At this stage I'm led to believe it was because it was the far more expensive of the two and was stolen.
If you cannot leave things in your room without risk of of them being taken then I cannot endorse this hotel and feel obligated to warm others to avoid it.

The staff at the hotel could not have been any friendlier.
I booked a weekend stay incl free night (platinum perk) and we got a fabulous upgrade to a lovely suite.
There isn’t much of a view but given that the street outside is quite ‘lively’ we didn’t mind.
The small private beach has small stones not sand but there is not a lot they can do about this.
The sea side Italian seafood restaurant was excellent.
Lovely bathroom toiletries, fluffy towels and comfortable beds

What a wonderful stay. One of the best part of the trip. You can spend the whole day just staying in the hotel because it has everything. Waterbiscuit restaurant serves amazing food (though desserts is the weak point). I would not forget Smoked duck breast. Nice and comfortable room. Very nice personal. The view from balcony would be perfect without construction (Plant here need to be watered). I highly recommend you get up early and have 5mins walk to the coastline to watch stunning sunrise.

I celebrated my 28th birthday at InterContinental Malta, it was a magical experience, from the moment I arrived the hotel is not only beautiful but the service is unimaginable,
When I checked in I was upgraded to a fantastic room with a bath tub.
On my actual birthday, they prepared Swan towels, a birthday cake towel, balloons, Prosecco, sparkling water and still water.
A cute mini desert with 'Happy Birthday' written on the cake.
Truly, the best hotel I have stayed in my entire life, this made it a wonderful birthday experience, I will certainly be staying here again and in all of their InterContinental branches around the world.

We've just spent 5 days here and overall it was good.
The staff were all superb. Always a smile and a friendly greeting from the cleaners to the managers.
We had a meal at the Al Fresco restaurant, on the 7th floor. 100% could not fault it. The staff, food and atmosphere was great. First time eating rabbit and loved it. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the swordfish was delicious.
Overall the only downfall was that the room was not the best. Under both beds it was filthy with clumps of dust and previous residents complimentary slippers. Marks on the walls and ceiling and the curtains could do with a steam clean. I'm also convinced the mattress had gone on one bed and a deep topper was laid over it. We also noticed that the corridor never got hoovered.
