I stayed at this hotel recently and I left extremely disappointed. The hotel wasn’t even at full capacity there were barely any guests yet the service, cleanliness, and overall standards were shockingly low. l 1. Room Not Cleaned Properly at All There were no female cleaners, only men everywhere, and they clearly had no idea how to clean a room properly. When I checked the cupboards, shelves, lamps, and cabinets, everything was covered in dust. Me and my child were sneezing non-stop because of how bad the dust was. They didn’t even leave enough drinking water, and I had to call them back to clean again. Even then, they barely did anything properly. This is the basics of hotel management and they failed. ⸻ 2. Poor Room Maintenance When I arrived, the wardrobe door had come off the rails and was slanting collapsed Nobody had bothered to check the room before giving it to me. I had inform them!!! ⸻ 3. Reception Staff are Unhelpful & Inconsistent The receptionists honestly acted like their heads were somewhere else. Very slow, dull, confused, and uninterested. One woman told me that my 3-year-old daughter could not use the rooftop pool. But when I checked the actual rules written by the pool, it clearly said children under 7 can swim with adult supervision. So why give wrong information? ⸻ 4. No Help at All When I Needed a Taxi When I needed to book a taxi to get to the airport for my flight, the staff could not be bothered to help. I was struggling to contact drivers myself, yet the receptionist who lives in the area did nothing. I literally had to show him the numbers and ask him to call for me. Even then, the taxi driver tried to overcharge me just because I was going to the airport. ⸻ 5. Noise & Disturbance On the last night, loud men were shouting in Arabic in the room next door late at night. It disturbed me and my child and we couldn’t sleep. I informed reception but No one from the hotel stepped in or checked the noise. ⸻ 6. Boring Stay – Nothing for Children The hotel is empty, lifeless, and boring. There are no child-friendly facilities, no activities, nothing to do. My child was bored out of her mind the entire stay. ⸻ 7. The Only Positive The only good thing was the breakfast and the Indian staff, who were kind, warm, and genuinely helpful. They were the only people who made us feel welcomed.

I arrived in Salalah without booking any hotel and my first stop was the Intercity Hotel right in the city centre very well situated for those who want to be in town . Warmly welcomed by Aaron I decided after seeing the room to stay one night and I finally stayed four. Thanks to all the people working there including Aaron and Mohamed who did everything to make my stay enjoyable. The room are spacious and very clean with a nice ensuite bathroom. One of the best restaurant of Salalah is on the first floor of the hotel with excellent food and services , buffet or A la carte (I want to thanks Suhail and Mamun for their excellent service as well as Mobin from the kitchen) And after an hot day you can enjoy and relax at the swimming pool on the top floor with a spectacular view of central Salalah.

The staff are all very pleasant, helpful and cordial. The place is striving to be better and improve. You can feel that in the way they deal with guests. They are all trying hard. The breakfast they serve is an open buffet and it is wonderful, with an excellent variety and quality. Their service was immediate. We screwed up the safe lock by trying many times, their engineer, Murad, came to fix it right away and did not leave until we securely changed the combination. The rooms are spacious, clean and organized, their daily service kept it that way. We recommend Intercity Hotel to all visitors to Salalah, Oman. They present value with a good quality service at a reasonable price. Thank you for your efforts and all your staff, especially the smiley local receptionists who welcomed us daily after our long tours.

Excellent stay at InterCity Hotel Salalah We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were extremely pleasant, kind, and always ready to help. Special thanks to Aaron from the reservations team for his professional assistance and warm attitude he really made our stay smooth and enjoyable. Breakfasts captain is very pleasant and helpful. He helped us with take-away lunch box for early check out. We definitely recommend InterCity Hotel Salalah to anyone looking for great quality and service within this price range.

Happy to share that we really had a great memorable holiday at this hotel. The staff and receptionists were really respectful. Especially Mr. Prakash. To be honest the breakfast was quite amazing and the best thing was the pool experience we had. Hoping for another visit.
