My best friend and I stayed here last week for my birthday. We were excited based on the positive reviews, but our experience was very different. 1. Wrong Room We booked a room with two double beds but were given a single king. Our reservation clearly stated “two beds,” yet staff insisted they were at 100% occupancy and that the booking site didn’t provide “enough detail.” That is not the guest’s responsibility. They told us to check back the next day, but our “butlers” repeatedly brushed us off with vague “still verifying” messages. We eventually gave up and stayed in the king suite. Additional issue: A sensor above the bed flashed all night and woke us up repeatedly. 2. Unheated Pools and Hot Tubs Even in the off-season, a 5-star hotel should have heated pools. Every pool was freezing, forcing all guests to crowd into a single lukewarm hot tub. Multiple guests were complaining about the same issue. 3. No Reservations for Restaurants The all-inclusive restaurants don’t take reservations. If you’re not at the very front of the line for the first dinner seating, expect to wait 1–2 hours. Room service arrived lukewarm and tasted like airplane food. 4. Late Entertainment Shows start at 9:45 p.m.—far too late. Earlier start times would make more sense. 5. Poor Signage The elevators are not clearly labeled, and many guests (including us) were constantly confused about where to go. FYI: Ice is on the 6th floor for Impression guests. 6. Staff Attitude Spa: We arrived 15 minutes early for our massages and stepped outside to look at the pool. The staff member who showed us the waiting room seemed irritated and rolled her eyes when we asked if we could look around before returning. We had also paid for two 80-minute massages, but the paperwork incorrectly showed 50-minute sessions. The massage itself felt short and not worth what we paid. Restaurants: Hostesses at Bisou and the Observatory were dismissive and rude when we asked simple questions.

Our stay at Impression Moxché was absolutely incredible from start to finish! A huge shoutout to our amazing butlers, Xo and Cesar, who went above and beyond every single day. They were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect — from surprise touches in the room to anticipating what we needed before we even asked. We also have to recognize David at the lagoon pool — hands down one of the best pool concierges we’ve ever met. He made our time by the pool unforgettable, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable, well taken care of, and enjoying ourselves to the fullest. Thanks to Xo, Cesar, and David, our experience at Impression Moxché was truly next-level. We can’t wait to come back!

We have visited several Secrets properties and Impressions Moxche is our favorite so far. The layout is super convenient. The resort has over 20 pools and I was pleasantly surprised with the beach, it was super clean and no sargassum in October. The staff was super accommodating, the late night taco stand was a hit. Karaoke was a blast but the speakeasy was our favorite. We will be back. Don’t miss the shows every night, Vegas level entertainment.

We spent nine unforgettable nights at Secrets Impressions Moxché celebrating our honeymoon, and it was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the resort’s attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and luxurious atmosphere. The Impressions rooftop pool quickly became one of our favorite spots, thanks to Daniel, the pool attendant, who was incredibly attentive and kind. He made sure every moment by the pool was perfect — from finding us the best loungers to keeping our drinks refreshed with a smile. A big thank-you to Axel and José from the entertainment and activities team — their energy, warmth, and sense of fun made each day even more enjoyable. We loved the daily check-ins and the guessing game by the pool! Axel’s connection with us from day one and how he always remembered our names made it even more special. We were also so impressed by Daniel, the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, whose presence and passion for guest experience were evident everywhere. The quality and presentation of the food — especially on the Impressions side — were outstanding. Every meal felt curated and creative, with so much thought behind each dish. At Cielo, Manager Nelvia made every visit feel special, and at Teodoro, our server Gabriel provided impeccable, gracious service that elevated an already incredible dining experience. Our heartfelt thanks also go to our butlers, Rafael and Gilberto, who made our honeymoon extra special. Their attention to detail and anticipation of our needs — from restaurant reservations to thoughtful surprises — made us feel so cared for. A special mention as well to Sindy at the spa, whose massage was one of the best we’ve ever had — relaxing, professional, and a perfect highlight to our honeymoon week. And to the evening bartenders at the Impressions lobby bar, who crafted incredible cocktails using premium spirits, local gins, and mezcals — we loved exploring the thoughtful selection each night. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with amazing amenities and one of the best beds we’ve ever slept in. Every detail — from the lighting to the luxurious bath products — reflected the resort’s impeccable standards. Having both worked in the hospitality and restaurant industry, we were truly blown away by every aspect of this resort — from the consistency of service to the genuine warmth of the staff. It’s rare to see this level of attention to detail executed so flawlessly, and we left deeply impressed and inspired. Overall, our honeymoon at Secrets Impressions Moxché was a dream come true. The warmth of the staff, the exceptional food and drinks, and the overall level of service made this one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. We can’t wait to return!

I came to Impression Moxché in Cancun for my honeymoon, which is supposed to be one of the most special moments in life. The room itself was fine and quite comfortable, but the biggest disappointment was the so-called "ocean view." What I actually got was far from what was promised. From my balcony, there was barely any ocean to see at all — mostly just trees and jungle. To me, this is not an ocean view, it’s a jungle view, and advertising it otherwise feels like a trick. It is really upsetting because a honeymoon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the view was one of the main reasons I booked this resort. I paid for the ocean view expecting to wake up to the beauty of the sea every morning, but instead I felt frustrated and misled. The hotel should be honest with their guests about what they are really offering. Yes, the room itself was nice, but playing games with something as important as the view — especially when guests are paying a premium for it — is simply unacceptable. I feel very disappointed, and I would not recommend this resort to anyone who truly cares about getting the view they were promised. To make sure people don’t think I’m exaggerating, I even uploaded a video of the so-called “ocean view.” What do you all think — does this look like an ocean view to you?
