Amazing hotel. Had my Honeymoon in one of the boat suites and they made it unforgettable. It's one of the best hotels I have stayed in.
The room was spacious and the design wonderful.
The breakfast was phenomenal with a wide range of options for everyone. The french toast is a must.
All their staff, including there Yoga instructor and Muay Thai instructor included in the booking were amazing. Really enjoyed them.
The fire show and renting the kayaks were also included both great.
All in all it made my first trip to Thailand ultra special and I would recommend to anyone!

Our stay at Melia Koh Samui was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their friendliness and attentiveness. The property is stunning, with beautiful surroundings and well-maintained facilities. Our room was spotless, spacious, and had every comfort we could have asked for. The attention to detail in cleanliness and service really stood out, making our stay relaxing and worry-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for luxury and comfort in Koh Samui!

Too many points not on par with 5 stars and price point.
Pros:
Beautiful clean grounds
Big, well appointed pool
Large comfortable beds and linens
Good AC in the bedrooms
Good quality and selection at breakfast
Cons:
TERRIBLE water pressure in rooms (we had 2 rooms, both showers were drizzling at best even after they tried to fix it).
Rooms are well kept, but dated/old decor (e.g. subway tiles trend from 10-15 yrs ago).
Bathroom is large enough not to feel cramped, but not so big that it feels pampering like other 5* hotels we were in.
One of the staff at the lobby literally interrogated and reprimanded me when I asked for an additional room key.
Service at breakfast is slow to inattentive, staff does not welcome you (need to find a waiter to seat you), no water is offered despite no AC, sweltering here, and weak ceiling fans.
Dinner at the restaurant other than being well presented was diner-level quality and flavor, terribly slow - 2 main courses were served an hour after ordering and well after half of our party had already finished eating and none of us were really hungry anymore. No apologizes or attempt to make things right. For the price would have expected top notch service and food.
Not once during our stay had staff proactively asked as to how our stay was going.
Passage near lobby is consistently full of guests’ luggage and feels like you’re walking through a storage unit.
Overall, inattentive hotel that felt very transactional and impersonal, especially for Thailand. For the price there are definitely better choices.

Fantastic hotel with great location and beach, spacious rooms, swimming pools everywhere, kids and teens activities, and a good breakfast. Everything in this 5 star hotel costs a fortune, so it's recommended to go outside for meals and drinks. The neighboring 3 stars hotels on the beach have fantastic restaurants and bars. Several staff members have "sorry, no can do" mentality with no real wish to help, while a few were really kind and helpful. Still, overall, amazing hotel. We'll probably come again.

The hotel was nice! The beach is very nice. The breakfast is great. The downside is that it is so huge and mass-touristey more for families I would say rather than couples. The staff was very nice and professional. The gym was the best weve been in Thai hotels so far.
