What an amazing experience we've had at Ifuru Resort. We highly recommend it and we are hoping to come back very soon!! My family and I visited Ifuru Resort as a holiday destination during the Easter break, and they did not disappoint. From the time we arrived til the time we left, everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly, always warm and welcoming. We got allocated a Buddy once we arrived on the Island "Suaid" who was also amazing 👏. The atmosphere, food, and service at all the restaurants were always fresh, delicious, well presented and always consistent. The entertainment they provided during our stay was very well-organised and very entertaining . The pool and beach area were always well maintained and kept very clean. Our rooms were very nice, modern and clean with a beautiful view of the beach. I also wanted to mention the All Stars that work at the resort. They are amazing at what they do to upkeep the overall appearance of the Island. Thank you, Ifuru Resort, for making our Easter holiday unforgettable!!

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Ifuru Island Resort in the Maldives, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of to make our stay special and memorable. A huge heartfelt thank you to the incredible team who went above and beyond to make our anniversary so perfect. Rasheed welcomed us with genuine warmth and made sure we felt at home from day one. Yandee was always cheerful and attentive, adding a personal touch to everything he did. Ari brought such positive energy and grace to every interaction, it was a pleasure seeing her every day. We’re also so grateful to Mylo for his friendly service and constant smile, and to Chamil, whose professionalism and kindness stood out. Marey was another standout, always making sure we were comfortable and happy. And of course, many thanks to the rest of the team whose names we may not remember, but whose efforts did not go unnoticed, they were all fantastic. The island itself is stunning pristine beaches, crystal-clear water, breathtaking sunsets, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect backdrop for our celebration. From romantic dinners to personalized experiences life the floating pool breakfast and little surprises throughout our stay, everything was handled with such care and attention to detail. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an idyllic escape with world-class service and genuine hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

Arrival and Transportation Our first impression of Ifuru Island Resort was not the best due to the transportation arrangements from Malé to the island. We decided to arrive a day earlier to avoid waiting, but communication with the hotel was challenging. We kept receiving responses that they would inform us in due time. Eventually, our flight from Malé was at 12:30 PM with a layover on another island before reaching Ifuru. Upon arrival at the island, we were promptly taken to the reception, provided with information, and were greeted by the wonderful Indri, who took care of us during our stay. The room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, including a large terrace. We had a room on the first floor near the restaurant. The minibar was regularly replenished with water, two types of wine (white and rosé), two soft drinks, and two beers. Upon arrival, we found a bottle of Prosecco in the room. The room also featured a large TV and all necessary amenities. Overall, we were very satisfied with the accommodation. Dining at the resort was a mixed experience. The main restaurant was spacious and visually appealing, but the food selection was limited—only 10 hot dishes, half of which were side dishes. For a 5-star hotel, I expected a much wider variety and higher quality. Reservations were available at Palm Grill and Waterfront. Palm Grill offered decent food, but it was average. Waterfront had a beautiful setting and atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food was subpar. After dinner, we filled out a questionnaire and mentioned that the food quality was average. The staff seemed unable to understand why we didn't rate it as excellent, but for that, much more effort would be needed. It was a beautiful place with great potential, but unfortunately, it wasn't fully realized. The drinks were good, but unfortunately, quite inconsistent. We ordered the same drink five times, and each time it tasted and looked different. It would be beneficial to establish a precise procedure for how each drink should taste, especially for the signature drinks unique to each bar. The best bar was the Beach Bar at the end of the island, and I highly commend the bartender Myl, who was always very attentive and quick. The selection was above average, ranging from various types of water to liqueurs like Baileys. Again, there was enormous potential, but it wasn't fully utilized. The island is large, but since only part of it can be used, it doesn't feel as expansive. However, it is well-maintained and beautifully lush with vegetation. Unfortunately, the coral reef is quite dead and not very attractive. It's best accessed during high tide. We paid $130 for a snorkeling trip by boat, which took us to the opposite side of the island. I wouldn't recommend it next time. Cleanliness on the island is interesting. Every morning, coral fragments and fallen leaves are swept away, but the part of the beach with an old dry tree containing plastics and fishing nets is neglected. This seems quite odd to me. Unfortunately, this was the weakest aspect of the hotel. Infri, our "buddy," was amazing. She responded quickly, arranged everything, and walked around the resort daily to check if everything was okay. Infri truly deserves great respect and praise for her work! The weakest service was at the Hubba Hubba bar. The waiters didn't approach the tables much, seemed quite indifferent, and forgot orders. We ordered five drinks and received four, with one being wrong. The service in the main restaurant was also lacking. Often, we sat down and had our appetizer before the staff came with the drink menu. This needs improvement. Unfortunately, the worst experience was dinner at the main restaurant, Social, when they decided to change the concept to à la carte. This was something that led me to deduct an extra star. This was absolutely, but really absolutely, inappropriate for a 5-star hotel, and such a thing shouldn't happen anywhere. We waited 2.5 hours for food.

Beautiful location, but not a consistent 5-star experience This is was my 7th stay in the Maldives. The location of Ifuru is truly stunning – peaceful, picturesque, and surprisingly quiet despite the nearby airstrip. Airplane noise is practically non-existent and doesn’t disturb at all. However, the overall experience didn’t fully live up to a 5-star standard. One thing to know in advance: the house reef is located about 250 meters off the coast and due to strong currents, it can only be accessed via an expensive excursion. That’s important to be aware of if you’re hoping for easy reef access directly from the beach. We found the beds a bit too firm for our liking, and unfortunately, the fridge in our room didn’t work. On the plus side, the room was very clean and well-maintained. Our biggest criticism concerns the service, particularly in the Social House and at the pool. Service was slow, forgetful, and at times inattentive – in the evenings, staff focused more on setting up for breakfast than on serving guests. It seemed like there simply weren’t enough staff members for the number of guests. The staff weren’t particularly friendly either, and our assigned “buddy” was unfortunately quite unapproachable, which is not what we expect from a 5-star resort. The resort manager didn't care at all. Some of the beach umbrellas were in poor condition – unstable and providing very little sun protection. Many of the lounger cushions were also damaged and clearly need replacing. The breakfast was quite basic, and what really concerned us was that cheese and cold cuts were left out without proper refrigeration – something that simply shouldn’t happen, especially in a hot climate. Coffee was awesome. On a more positive note: the drinks were excellent across the resort. The Beach Club and the Waterfront restaurant truly delivered a 5-star experience, both in terms of food, drinks, and service. These venues stood out in a very positive way and showed what the resort is capable of when things are running well. A small tip for travelers: if your international flight from Malé departs before 1 PM, you’ll be flown back on the 6 AM domestic flight – which makes for a very early travel day. This isn’t the resort’s fault, but part of the flight schedule, so it’s worth planning your departure for later in the day if possible. Conclusion: If there’s a good offer or promotion, I would consider booking Ifuru again. But for the regular price, there are other resorts in the Maldives that offer a more consistent and truly 5-star experience.

Part 1 We stayed at this resort for 12 nights, we have been to the Maldives numerous of times. My experience here was not what we expected, for the money we paid i received terrible pillows that was ridiculous to sleep on, as you’d expect some quality. All my inclusive offers i had, i never got as the resort refused to give us certain things, i had a spa treatment for 2 and they rejected me even though i showed my booking that it was included. I had these drinks included daily, however they also refused to provide them. Multiple things i had included they refused or never provided them. When you order drinks, it takes up to 20 minutes to receive them, or sometimes forget and have to remind them. Staff wasn’t friendly or helpful with situations that needed to be solved. I didn’t experience friendly staff on this resort. My expectations were very high, until coming here and being let down. The water is beautiful, and this one restaurant was wonderful the Water front, the food here and service here were outstanding, id like to shout out these wonderful people here, Rocky and Sunshine and the all the staff there. WONDERFUL.. When i go to the gym, on the resort this wonderdul staff member named Jigme was so thoughtful, generous and helpful at all times, always happy and smiling.. Great worker… I thought the night life would of been more fun and exciting however, it was a let down, not very entertaining. My room was cleaned daily, and i can’t complain, But my mini fridge was very warm which is disappointing as my drinks were warm, i was constantly ordering ice. Staff didn’t care to fix my fridge. Phone in the room didn’t work and once again no one wanted to help. Lack of toilet supplies and bathroom supplies unless i asked to be restocked. When leaving the resort my flight was at 1pm, however the resort made us leave at 4:30 in the morning which i found ridiculous and not reasonable, even though i paid for that day. I had to sit at Male airport for 4 hours which is disappointing. I tried to speak to staff and they were not helpful at all, or did not want to compromise. I couldn’t even eat breakfast before leaving, they provide us with a takeaway box which was horrible, i ate nothing. I did have a good time here at the Beach club the location was beautiful and water was outstanding, the particular staff there were excellent. However my experience at this resort, i had good and bad times here, which needs to be fixed for other travellers wanting to visit here. I wanted to go on a jet ski, but the prices were crazy high for a limited time on there, close to $400 for 15 - 30 minutes AUS. Btw for any traveller who comes here and smokes the cigarettes are $100 for a 20 pack, INSANE… Prices here were high, my friend ordered small side hot chips and it was $30 that is not normal…
