I stayed here overnight in transit through Singapore, and while there were definitely some highlights, there were also a few areas that need improvement. Positives first: The location is fantastic—extremely convenient and well-situated. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive, and highly customer-focused. We were checked in while seated, with the team coming to us and clearly explaining everything about the hotel. This level of hospitality was a real standout and very much appreciated after a long journey. However, the room itself fell short of expectations. There was visible black mould in the shower and also next to the bed head (see photos), which was concerning from a health and cleanliness perspective. The air conditioning was preset to 24°C and felt a bit stuffy, with no option to adjust the temperature. Additionally, there was noticeable dust in hidden areas like around the TV, and the LED light on the TV was very bright at night with no apparent way to turn it off. While I understand this is a budget hotel, cleanliness should be a non-negotiable, and the presence of mould suggests that the rooms may need more thorough servicing and perhaps some renovation work to bring them up to standard. In short, great service and location, but the room conditions need attention, especially with regard to hygiene and comfort.

If you want to stay at a proper place and save money for food and experiences at the same time, ibis budget is the place for you. I like it when ibis budget is in my destination for I know that they always satisfy my expectations for what I pay. It’s always cheaper than other hotel options and simply better than hostels and guest houses. Other than that, a swimming pool is great, but gym isn’t really a gym.

The room was so tiny. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever experienced other than that in a motorhome. The service by the concierge and cleaners was without fault. The concierge was always smiling and happy to help. The breakfast included was very disappointing. Food was not hot. Spring rolls were like rubber. I understand new management. They have a lot to learn.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is within three minutes walk of Clarke Quay MRT station which connects easily with the North-East and East-West lines. I have stayed here previously and was happy to return. The rooms are tiny but adequately furnished. Staff are unfailingly courteous. In terms of value, my room was fully priced: there is probably better value to be had elsewhere but I was in a hurry to book, it was a short stay and the location made it worth while. If there is one grouse I have it is that the room was missing an electric kettle. Other than that, it was neat and clean and the bathroom was spotless. Overall a good experience again.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this budget hotel! The location is convenient for accessing Marina Bay Sands, where our event was held. Despite being a budget hotel, it's one of the most comfortable, clean and cosy places I've stayed at,not forgetting the great services from the hotel staff. The adjoining ibis cafe was cosy and doesn't look budget at all..the breakfast buffet spread was amazing, with a great mix of Western and Asian options - I'm still drooling over the American pancakes! What's even more impressive is how well-organized the lead & staff were, even with heavy footfall, they went beyond in their service. I'd definitely recommend my company to book this hotel and stay here again in a heartbeat!
