We spent seven days there and I must say, the hotel is absolutely great. The food had variety and the tables aren't too close to each other like many reviews say. The staff was really nice and kind. The shoes weren't great but okay. I definitely recommend it.

Definitely the worse resort i ever been to with the family
We came for 7 days, paid €400 a day for end of April for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. I am counting the minutes to get out since day 3.
The only drinking water available in the building is some filtered tap water that taste like chlorine and you have to drink from some badly washed reusable plastic cups (No disposable cups, straws or bottled water available anywhere in the building, not even to buy) (glass cups only available in the main restaurant at meal times) so lets just say I couldn't enjoy a holiday where I have to drink tap water from a plastic cup that has been used by 1000 different people and even after "washed" still smells like beer and cigarettes! I feel like we are all dehydrated. The kids is surviving on sugary drinks as find this water undrinkable.
If you like to have a cup of tea or coffee after your meals, you need to walk across the building to a bar on top floor as hot drinks is only available in the main restaurant during breakfast only.
End of April and 80% of the guests are age over 50 and 60. I actually felt like I was walking into a posh Nursing Home when checked in. So would not recommend this place for family with kids/teenager
No smart tv
No channel Available in English apart from sky News.
Meat selection is poor.
Coffee is undrinkable, unless you fill your cup with 5 shots of espresso, every other option tasty like water.
Pool closes at 6pm and the kids was cranky and bored in a room with no smart tv or English channels.
Main restaurant only open from 7 to 10:30 for breakfast. 12:30 - 3 for lunch and 6:30-9:30 for dinner. Outside those hours, there is only some left over low quality sugary cakes and sometime fruit available to eat.
You need to pay extra to use the indoor pool €15 per 120 minutes and kids are not allowed.
Gym is in a basement and very bad ventilated.
The kids zone for age up to 6 was nice, The staff there is lovely and my daughter enjoyed.
If they had some disposable paper cups or straws and bottled water available even if at an extra cost that could have made a big difference for us, another thing you need to get used to is to clean your mouth with your hands as no napkins available anywhere apart from a single one placed at the table at meal times in the main restaurant only. The cups, glasses and tea pots
in the main restaurant is another thing you need to close your eyes to or you would not be able to have a drink. They all look filthy like if they were rinsed in dirty water.
Just a very unpleasant holiday experience!

Our family enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel. At the reception all issues were resolved very quickly. Great food, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, very comfortable mattresses and restful sleep! Those who love silence and want to get a good night's sleep come here! Beautiful pool and lots of free things. There is of course a beautiful view of the ocean and a beautiful beach. There is a large balcony overlooking the ocean, you can drink a cocktail and enjoy the view and that's the best thing! very friendly, fun and active guys who lead the activities. They organize: archery, making natural soap with your own hands and teach you how to make a delicious drink Sangria. We will return to this hotel with great pleasure. Thank you and see you soon

Amazing stay. The food is really good, room's and beds very comfortable. We had a sea view room on the 1st floor and was great for the beach.
Staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
Can't wait to return next year!!

Being Iberostar chain fans since the last twenty one years, I can honestly say that this is the best Iberostar hotel we’ve been in. Its boutique-ish vibe with peacefulness despite the capacity, makes it a great choice for not only families, like in our case the family of four, but also for adults as it provides many green, enclosed and peaceful spaces. Landscaping is one of the many reasons we are Iberostar chain fans. For children there is a warm up splash swimming pool next to the big warm up swimming pool and there is another not warm up swimming pool. Good entertainment and planned activities for children all day long and for adults like us not very keen of a loud and drunk parties, adult entertainment was just enough with a life music in Corona Bar on the evenings and be of the best beach and sea views I’ve ever seen from the terrace. The hotel’s location, on the beach, with a miles long beach and sea views-was absolutely inspiring and encouraging to the best walks by the sea or on the walking/running/cycling path that runs next to the hotel. We have not enough words to say THANK YOU to the hotel staff that was going extra mile every time and was working their socks off: starting from our family room house keeper Mónica, making our rooms always neat with artistic beds decorations; restaurant staff-removing the plates by the time we’ve just finished our meals and providing high standard of service always with smile; reception staff-always professional and happy to help; the Management-greeting guests at the restaurant door at dinner time and showing care of its guest. We felt like VIP over Christmas dinners. Finally, the FOOD-in capital letters as it deserves it. Literally the best food we’ve eaten in all inclusive hotels. Each meal was delicious! And we’re the foodie family, we love good food and we were amazed by the quality, freshness and each day different cuisine provided at the only one but the best restaurant. It proves quality over the quantity! We’ll be forever grateful to the Reservation Team for listening to my request to help us celebrate my husband special50th birthday and for updating our previously booked family room to the family superior room with sea views room 3303 and access to jacuzzi-that made the whole experience even more unforgettable. Thank you Iberostar Playa Gaviotas Staff for the best family holidays we’ve gotten. We’ll definitely come back! Monika with family
