Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos

We stayed at Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos in June 2025. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay, but there were a few things that negatively affected our experience. Let’s start with the positives: • The hotel is located in a beautiful bay with turquoise water and soft sand — perfect for kids. • The territory is green and well-maintained, very pleasant to walk around. • The food was probably the best we’ve ever had in a hotel. Wide variety, fresh, and very well prepared. We especially enjoyed the seafood, fresh mango, pineapple, melon, cheeses, and desserts — every meal felt like a treat. • The alcohol was branded and high-quality, which is a rare find in all-inclusive resorts. Not the usual generic drinks, but well-known labels. • The room was clean, housekeeping was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. • The animation was nice and not too loud. There’s a mini club for kids and entertaining shows in the evenings. Now to the downsides: 1. Too few golf carts. The resort is spread out over a hill, and we often had to wait quite a long time for a golf cart. Walking uphill in the heat with a child wasn’t ideal. Adding 1–2 more carts would make a big difference. 2. Poor access to our room. We stayed in bungalow No. 011 near the sea. The room itself was fine, although we would’ve preferred a double bed instead of two singles. The biggest issue was the path to the room — a narrow dirt trail with large rocks. It was extremely difficult to pull our suitcases up, and our child literally ruined his shoes just walking up and down that trail daily. 3. Infection. Unfortunately, our child caught the Coxsackie virus at the hotel — high fever, rash, and several days of ruined vacation. After returning home, both my wife and I got sick as well. Most likely, the infection was picked up in the kids’ pool, where we noticed some toddlers entering with full diapers. It would be great if staff were more attentive to hygiene in the children’s areas. I added some photos but Google didn’t approve them, I can send them in direct messages to hotel representatives if needed.

We had a truly wonderful stay! The hotel is in a beautiful location, with a stunning beach and lovely, comfortable rooms. The food was always fresh and delicious, with plenty of variety. But what made our stay truly special was the staff. Every single person we met was kind, smiley, and always ready to help. A special thank you to Gabriel, Teresa, and Sebastia — their warmth and friendliness made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. We celebrated our daughter’s second birthday here, and the team went out of their way to make it extra special. Their kindness and effort made it a joyful and unforgettable experience for our family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for not just a beautiful setting, but also sincere, heartfelt hospitality.

Cant fault this hotel! Amazing for kids and babies The rooms are very spacious and cater to little ones very well pull out bed or a cot provided for smaller kids The meals are so tasty and a wide variety of cuisines are provided, including and kids and baby station. Not to mention the snacks!!! Activities run all day and my little boy loved getting involved in all of these Minibus service is very good and quick to get you around the complex Small walk to the beach is also on the resort with a cash machine and shops close by. We cant fault this place! Will 100% be back 😊

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!! Perfect hotel and location. Rooms are clean and modern and restaurants have a fantastic range of food throughout the day. Always able to get a sunbed around both pools and plenty of space of the beach, which is beautiful. Little cave round the side which is definitely worth an explore. Don’t let the size of the hotel put you off, hotel have this covered with regular shuttle bus services to take you around resort, plenty run at the same time. Special mention to Gabriel who was the best dressed shuttle bus driver around and another special mention to Kaylin who is part of the entertainment team, lovely lad who always made a real effort. The whole staff however are fantastic and could never do enough for you. Would 100% recommend this hotel to all families and couples.

We had an amazing holiday at Iberostar Cala Domingos. The hotel is perfect for families with lots of activities and playgrounds for children. If you are travelling without children there are also places that are quieter. The food is perfect especially the variety of different things, I have never seen that many options at a hotel before! The beach at the hotel is absolutely stunning! We definitely recommend the hotel.
