The hotel and staff are amazing and well worth the visit. We have visited from the United Kingdom, and have been blown away by the service and facilities at the hotel. The children's services are fantastic and cater to all age ranges, it is lovely to see the star camp staff interacting and engaging with the children. The food is top quality and the choices are plentiful. The entertainment team have been a big part of our trip, the shows and activities they put on are amazing and there is something for everyone. Brenda from the entertainment team has personally been very helpful and so friendly.

We absolutely loved our vacation! What a wonderful hotel with amazing staff – it was so worth it in every way! We even joined our very first foam party, and it was such a blast. I stayed at Iberostar Paraiso Maya Suites with my wife from September 8–15, and this was by far one of the best resort experiences we’ve had. The resort itself stands out with its beautiful Mayan-inspired architecture and decoration, and the lobby is the nicest of the Iberostar properties, fully air-conditioned and elegantly designed. Maya is a suites-only resort, and our room exceeded expectations with a jacuzzi, walk-in shower, double sinks, king bed, spacious living area, large closet, and a balcony with a hammock. The minibar was always stocked with local beers and soft drinks, which was a great touch. Pools are saltwater and easy to access, and while the beach had some rocks and jellyfish during our stay, the lifeguards were outstanding in keeping guests safe and providing first aid right away when needed. Food and drinks were excellent throughout the stay. The buffets had plenty of variety with themed nights and great cooking, and the taco stations quickly became a favorite. Bars across the property were always stocked with premium brands and easy to access whether in the lobby or by the pool. Entertainment shows, while enjoyable, could be improved. They leaned on routine themes like magic or fire, but I would have loved to see more folk music, traditional performances, and shows that capture the essence of Mexico. The entertainment team did a solid job, and the stage shared with Lindo had good sound and lighting, but I felt the overall vibe could be more unique. I also missed the Mexico Day show since it was moved to align with Independence Day on September 15. That said, service across the resort was exceptional, from room service to transportation between properties, and the staff truly made the experience special. A special thanks goes to Pablo from the entertainment team who made pool and lobby activities fun and memorable. For the first time, I felt completely satisfied with both the comfort and food at a resort, and even though I usually don’t return to the same property, Iberostar Maya Suites is one I will definitely visit again.

Nowhere near 5* unless you have very low expectations. For Mexico level, all inclusive I would say 4* at best. For those who have stayed at nice 5* resorts with great food, service and rooms this place is more like a 3 - 3.5*. It’s essentially a supersize resort with 5 adjoining properties, mediocre service, they seemed to be short staffed everywhere. The food is below average in my opinion and rooms need a makeover as they felt worn and dated. The steakhouse was the worst experience of the trip. Service was awful, the server looked miserable and was not friendly at all. The steak and vegetables were delivered cold and must have been sitting out for several minutes in order for both dishes to be not even lukewarm. The highlight is definitely the beach, however for parts of the day they have games/competitions on the beach with staff doing a play by play commentary using a microphone with speakers blasting all over the beach making it impossible to relax or read a book. Upon checking in we were quickly directed to a salesperson trying to convince us to attend a ‘timeshare’ breakfast the following morning, which they refer to as ‘prestige hotel member’ which we thankfully refused, so avoid that unless you are actually interested in paying a fee to be an Iberostar member. Overall I would not recommend this resort. Spend your money elsewhere.

We have stayed at del Mar and beach a few times and did maya suites this time and we really enjoyed it. Rooms are bigger love the bath tub and a lot more places to eat. Brenda and Yareli were very helpful and all staff were great. Already planning for next year trip at maya:) been a great week here
