The food at the circus show was so great. All the fun different treats was a nice surprise. The musical was cool. Not was I was expecting but a nice variety of songs. The acrobatic portion of the show was so cool! It was fun to see all the tricks that were done. I think that on the itinerary should be more clear and say what is actually happening rather than just saying “circus show” just so people know what is actually going on but otherwise it was wonderful!!

The Paraíso Maya Suites hits the sweet spot between high-end luxury and high-energy family fun. While the resort is massive, the "Maya" section offers larger rooms, better amenities, and a slightly more sophisticated atmosphere than its neighbor, the Paraíso Lindo. 1. The "Wow" Factor: Architecture & Vibe The lobby is genuinely breathtaking—a massive, indoor replica of a Mayan pyramid that serves as the heart of the resort. * Pro Tip: Spend an evening at the Lobby Bar under the pyramid; the atmosphere is unmatched, and it's the best place for people-watching. 2. Water Fun: The Main Attraction This resort is a titan when it comes to pools. Since Maya guests get access to the other neighboring Iberostar properties, you have a wealth of options: * The Wave Pool: A consistent fan favorite for all ages. * The Lazy River: Perfect for a slow afternoon, though it can get busy. * The Water Park: Features seven slides and a pirate ship area specifically for kids (ages 6–12). * Quiet Areas: There are "concierge" pools if you need a break from the music and activities of the main pool. With over 20 restaurants across the complex, you won't go hungry, but quality varies. * The Highlights: The Steakhouse and the Mexican (Gourmet) restaurants consistently receive the highest marks. The Japanese Hibachi is a great show for kids, but book it the moment you arrive. * The Buffet: Known for being better than average, with "live cooking" stations where chefs make fresh omelets and pasta to order. * The Coffee Shop: Open 24/7—a lifesaver for early-rising kids or late-night cravings. 4. Room Comfort Every room here is a Junior Suite (approx. 624 sq. ft.), which is a major plus for families. * The Perks: Unlike other hotels in the complex, Maya rooms feature double Jacuzzis and buildings with elevators—a must if you are traveling with a stroller. * The Setup: The "living area" with a sofa bed is partially separated, giving parents a bit of breathing room. 5. For the Kids (Star Camp) The Star Camp is often cited as one of the best kids' clubs in Mexico. It’s divided by age groups (Monkey, Dolphin, and Eagle), focusing on "diverse intelligences," meaning they do more than just watch movies—think science experiments, arts, and beach Olympics. What to Watch Out For (The "Real" Talk) * The "Mega-Resort" Walk: The complex is huge. While there are electric shuttles (trams) that run every few minutes, you will still do a lot of walking. Bring a stroller for anyone under five. * Reservations: You need to be proactive. Use the Iberostar App to book your à la carte dinners as soon as you check in (or even before, if the app allows). * Humidity: Like many tropical resorts, rooms can feel damp. Keeping your AC at a consistent temperature and ensuring the balcony door is fully latched helps tremendously. Would you like me to look up the current weather forecast for your stay or find a map of the resort layout?

Beautiful hotel. The grounds were kept so clean, the rooms were cleaned every day and towel creatures added for more excitement. Lots to do for adults and kids. The theater shows in the evening were great, the bingo in the snake bar was fun and family friendly. The beach is beautiful. The seaweed is cleaned up daily. The kids had a great time riding the waves. The pool was chilly as it was a colder week, but the kids still enjoyed the lazy river and waterslides. Will definitely come back here again.

5/5 amazing family vacation. I love the layout of the resort - the complex is nice but still walkable in nice weather. We were with our toddler in a stroller and we walked everywhere- neighboring hotels, shopping center and star camp. Food was above average to excellent and readily available. I especially love how kid friendly the entertainment was - all restaurants were kid friendly as well. Overall beautiful resort and we would love to come back again.

I can't say enough good things about this resort. For starters, my sister is Celiac and so ensuring that she had not only enough gluten-free options available to her, but avoiding cross-contamination was a big concern for us. We stayed here for a week and she had zero issues, which rarely happens when she eats out, let alone when she travels. We received an allergy card when we checked in and when we would go to the buffets we would speak with a consultant who walked us through what was safe for her to eat. There were always plenty of options for her (probably at least 85% of the buffet was gluten-free and free of cross-contamination, on average) and they would even offer to make her a separate dish fresh in the kitchen if she wanted. At each of the restaurants we went to we showed the allergy card and they would walk us through the menu, which again would always have more than enough options for her. They were always very accommodating and even offered to do things like make a fresh batch of fries for her in clean, separate oil. The care and attention they put into this went a long way and meant a lot. Also, the food here is great and way beyond what I was expecting. In terms of water and ice, everything is filtered on the resort and you get reusable bottles that you can fill up all throughout the resort at their refill stations. At all the restaurants, bars, and cafes the water is filtered and safe, and it was so nice to not have to worry about this or to have to try and remember to request no ice like in other places I've stayed. I was naturally worried about water/ice consumption at first but we had no issues. In terms of activities and entertainment, there is so much going on, every day. The evening performances were incredible and the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and inclusive. They made for such a memorable and fun experience. This is a great place to stay for families. I did see a few couples throughout my stay and there are things like sports bars and a club, so there is something for everyone, but it did strike me as much more of a family place. All in all, we had a great stay here and I would highly recommend!
