Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya Suites was the best resort my family of six has visited so far. We were in the adjoining rooms with the in-laws and the rooms were modern, tidy and well stocked each day. The water filtration system is excellent, easy to locate on each floor and reduces single use plastics so it is an all round win. The a la carte restaurants were easy to reserve and wait time were short when we forgot to reserve. The food was excellent at each meal and the selection was large enough to suit even picky eaters. The staff at this resort were friendly, helpful and we had a great time talking to them and sharing some laughs. Getting chairs on the beach or by the pool wasn’t an issue and even during busy times we were able to find a spot. The pools and beach were pristine and towels easy to get. The only thing we did not experience was the Star Prestige category of Iberostar. I have two young children so the adult only sections don’t apply to us right now. I would consider upgrading to Star Prestige if there were more benefits for travelling with young children. This is a great resort and I would recommend it to anyone. We will book with Iberostar for our next holiday.

Our family and friends had a wonderful stay at Iberostar Selection Maya Suites from November 29 to December 6 2025. The resort delivered an exceptional all inclusive experience to our group of 23 people with warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and countless memorable moments. While almost everything was outstanding, we did have one disappointing dinner service at El Tapatio on Sunday, where the servers and front reception seemed unhappy and stressed. That aside, the rest of our week was truly fantastic. At La Pagoda Lunch, Armando was our favorite server. He went above and beyond by asking the bartender to create a custom fruit based drink just for us. His energy and thoughtfulness made our lunches extra special. At La Pagoda Gala Night and Dinner, Ivan and Genaro were phenomenal. They were gracious, attentive, and quick to clear plates while ensuring our glasses were never empty. Their service elevated the gala night into a memorable dining experience. At La Marina Breakfast, we were lucky to be served by both Edoardo and Edoardo throughout the week. Their hospitality was so warm and consistent that we kept returning every morning. Breakfast became one of our favorite rituals thanks to them. Aderlin at the Maya deserves special recognition. With our large group of 23 people, he managed our luggage seamlessly and even arranged car service to Playa del Carmen. Always accommodating and friendly, he made our arrival and departure stress free. Rosalia, who cared for rooms 6237 and 6238, was stellar. She delighted our daughter, niece, and nephew with creative towel animals daily, and ensured our fridge was always stocked with our favorite drinks. Her attention to detail made us feel truly cared for. Fabiola at the Maya Lobby Star Cafe brightened our mornings with her big smile and excellent service. Whether it was coffee, lattes, or frappes, she prepared everything perfectly and made us feel welcome every day. Our daughters birthday was unforgettable thanks to Oriole, Yomira, and Cuauhtemoc. They coordinated every detail from booking the surprise to arranging the cake, DJ, and premium bar. Cristobal the bartender was a highlight of the evening. His artistry and creativity with cocktails, using fresh local ingredients, impressed everyone and made the party extraordinary. DJ Temo brought incredible energy to the dance floor with his music, keeping everyone engaged and dancing all night long. We also want to recognize Mariah our personal concierge who checked in daily and kept us informed about activities and entertainment. At the front desk Gabriel went above and beyond by exchanging our large bills into smaller ones and arranging last minute day passes to Iberostar Quetzal. Even though he had to coordinate with another hotel, he made it happen smoothly. Aside from the one off night at El Tapatio, our stay was filled with joy, relaxation, and outstanding service. The staff at Iberostar Selection Maya Suites made us feel valued and celebrated, and we left with wonderful memories. We highly recommend this resort for families, groups, and anyone looking for a vibrant all inclusive vacation in Mexico.

An amazing complex of five hotel, we could use all of them except the adults-only one. Fantastic décor, clean beaches and pools. What we loved the most, however, was the food: varied, never monotonous, and not repetitive throughout the week we stayed. The fire show on the beach was one of the best I’ve ever seen-breathtaking! Excellent entertainment for children. I’ve stayed at many resort hotels, but this one has the most professional fitness facilities, with a separate two-story building available for guests, offering spinning, zumba, bootcamps, and yoga on the beach (Isabella is very energetic)The staff is very friendly, everything is well maintained and clean, and the rooms are spotless.We’ll definitely come back to the same place. Highly recommended!

The hotel and staff are amazing and well worth the visit. We have visited from the United Kingdom, and have been blown away by the service and facilities at the hotel. The children's services are fantastic and cater to all age ranges, it is lovely to see the star camp staff interacting and engaging with the children. The food is top quality and the choices are plentiful. The entertainment team have been a big part of our trip, the shows and activities they put on are amazing and there is something for everyone. Brenda from the entertainment team has personally been very helpful and so friendly.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. My family (20+ of us) stayed here for a week and had no issues. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the rooms felt comfortable and clean, the amenities and activities were fun and entertaining, the food was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely recommend this resort to any other families looking for a place to vacation together. A couple of people stood out to me this week for their friendliness, hospitality, and quality of service and I will name drop them below. Tomas, one of the staff in charge of entertainment, made many efforts to connect with us and make sure we felt taken care of and at home, whether that be at the beach during the day or the bar at night. Conversations with Tomas made the experience more enjoyable and I hope everyone has the opportunity to meet this man. Rodolfo was by far my favorite bartender. He served drinks in the evening at the Kukulkan bar (the one with the giant snake hanging from the ceiling). He was attentive and made the best drinks at the resort, in my opinion. I asked him to recommend me drinks and they were always exactly what I wanted. He was at the bar almost every single night, serving people with excellence. I couldn’t recommend you hangout at the Kukulkan bar enough, my family was there almost every night and had the best time. Between Rodolfo’s bar service and Tomas’ activities and conversation, this was the place to be. Overall, a very memorable week!
