If you choose to go all inclusive, the programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, buffet style, served in the main restaurant & some specialty restaurants. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times). Premium cocktails or bites at the pool, and a wide variety of activities, Star Camp kids activities program. There's also water sports or guided activities. And at night? The fun nonstop with professional entertainment shows.

My family and I had an amazing 7 day stay at Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites! The staff were absolutely phenomenal – attentive, friendly, and always went above and beyond. The food was delicious with tons of variety, and there were plenty of activities to keep us entertained throughout the trip. The grounds were meticulously groomed and there was lots of wildlife around the property. That said, the room felt quite dated. The jacuzzi tub didn’t work (and wouldn’t even fill), the sinks were broken, and for vacation smokers like myself, it was tough finding a designated spot to enjoy a cigar or cigarette. Even with those issues, I’d still love to come back – the experience overall was great, and the incredible staff made the trip truly memorable. 4/5 stars!

We enjoyed our trip here. Yoshune was fun with the activities. The gym was also very large and fun. Everything is well maintained and clean. The rooms are nice and clean, and the staff is very responsive. The food is pretty good, although didn’t love the la Marina for dinner. Everything else was great.

This hotel is great. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our kids loved the animals that walked around and the family suite. Beaches and pools were lovely. Service was exceptional, everyone is so nice and accommodating. There are so many activities for the kids to do between the water slides, lazy river, playgrounds and pools and shout out to the yoga instructor, Isabel. We did a couples massage at the spa that was awesome. Our family would definitely visit again.

Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Any issues we had were addressed quickly. They fixed our air conditioning and gave us a new TV when we had glitching. We day we had one brief medical issue, and afterwards they called daily to check in. The resort was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. We also enjoyed the food.

The pools both adults and kids were great. The beach was filled with seaweed but that was expected. The staff had a few games. The food near the beach is finger food but were good. They have 2 resturants that are appt only good luck getting a reservation. Most bars were clean but constantly running out of anything good causing you to switch to the cheaper stuff. At the bars when you find a liquor you like they might charge you and say it's for high class or selective group. As far as my room there was a 2-inch gap in my shower door causing water to spill out making us use clean towels to prevent slipping. Phones did not work the first few days. One of the beds had blood on the sheets upon arrival. On our third day, it was 7 pm and room service refused to clean until I went to the main office to complain, at which point we only got towels and bed barely made. Asking any staff or concierge a question always makes you feel like you're bothering them and disturbing them on their phones. The friendly staff were inside the bars and restaurants but that's it. To check out we waited for the bellboy to help with the luggage upon a 30-minute wait we had to carry everything ourselves. Learning at a later time they make you wait so you can take a taxi and miss your shuttle, something about kick backs but not sure, just annoyed by the thought. Plenty of kid activities and a great visual hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful. Great for pictures and a lot to see, however a very miserable stay. 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 toddler. Will not be visiting this hotel anytime soon. We usually do 1 per year and this year will be a memory we will not talk about or recommend.
