while the hotel has decent facilities and a spacious pool, the experience was disappointing due to poor service and limited beverage options.
The pool is large but not always clean. The food is good, but the indifferent and unwelcoming staff overshadow these positives. We had an issue with our room’s air conditioning and reported it at 9 a.m., but despite multiple follow-ups, it took nearly eight hours to get a room change. Check-in was also delayed by an hour because of a jammed sink, and we were left waiting in the lobby without any updates.
Simple requests, like getting towels at the pool, were met with disinterest. The staff didn’t smile or acknowledge guests, which detracted from the vacation experience.
The alcohol selection is another letdown. Besides rum, the choices are mostly lower-end, and if you want something like Jack Daniel’s, you have to pay extra. If you don’t ask for good rum, you get a cheap version that tastes like perfume.
Overall, the lack of customer service and the poor quality of the alcohol are major drawbacks. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I won’t be returning. If you have any issues, you’re left on your own.

Stayed at suites. Place is a bit run down but they are renovating it to bring it up to date. Service is hit or miss. Most staff are great, some hate their jobs (pool bar- I mean it is a tough job). Definitely glad I stayed at the suites as opposed to the waves resort next door. The indoor buffet was closed for renovations mid-way during our trip, so it was good we had access to amenities at both sites (ie. indoor buffet next door st the waves resort). This only applies if you stay at the mid tier or grand site. Restaurant food was okay but buffet food was great. One thing to beware of is the club membership sales presentation. It’s actually an okay concept, but the sales people are rude and condescending. I think if they offered standard pricing for their memberships and were forthcoming with the offerings we would have definitely considered one of the packages, but the predatory sales tactic was pure harassment. Seriously, get rid of the sales people and just offer these packages via. an email campaign to guests. Overall, it was an okay family vacation for us with small children. We had fun at the pool, at the beach, and on excursions.

I absolutely loved this resort as a first time out of the country visitor, this place passed my expectations. Great entertainment (I would say better than then the suites and the adult-only one, although I never visited the latter). The food was amazing, like really amazing. The other guest are nice and the staff are helpful and pleasant. The only negative would be that the tv didn’t work after the first night (some kind of outage) but we worked it out but it woulda been nice for my 4 year old. All in all, great first time experience out the country. I’ll be back = )

Family vacation this August for week. This is not a 5 star resort. Check in took 3 hours room was not ready. No complimentary drinks. Room itself need upgrades. Shower door came off when my granddaughter was taking a shower. Guess phone in bathroom hanging by the wire. Refrigerator not stocked. Construction going on everywhere. The building is old and needs a lot of upgrades. The staff was nice. But wouldn’t come back here. They are more of a 3 star hotel. Would not recommend.

The entertainment was the highlight of the resort! Fresh, Finez and Skinny kept us entertained from competing with us in volleyball to the events that they hosted. Never a dull moment when they were around. The rest of the staff was also very amazing and personal. Especially the bartenders.
Be aware that there is no food available at certain times, so don't expect to wake up at 3 AM and think you are going to eat. The property could certainly be updated, but overall a great time!
