We came for carnival and this hotel location was perfect. We were walking distance to all of the parades and concerts but far enough away to not be disturbed by the noise. The hotel staff are all so warm and kind. Our favorite was Carlos who attended us at the pool. He took amazing care of us and went above and beyond to take care of our group of 12. We are actively planning our trip back to Tenerife!

Overall we had a decent stay at the hotel. We booked a two-room suite, requesting a quiet room. The suite is a good room with a separate closet, a living room and a bedroom. It was not particularly luxuriously appointed but functional, with a desk for the computer, etc. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel's strongest points are a great breakfast, beautiful building, nice personnel, good service, excellent spa (for a fee of 20 euro per 1.5 hours), free heated swimming pool and an excellent shower in the room, it was the best shower I ever had, very strong and hot if you wished. The luggage service is outstanding. What remains of the park is great old trees, not too many. There is a good parking for 12 euro a day. There is also a marvelous turtle pond with a dozen of live turtles living there, delightful to watch how they swim and rest on the rocks. The downside is the noise in the room, it is not soundproof and noises from the traffic, taxi drivers chatting outside, music and talk from the eating place on the first floor right below the suite are interfering with the ability to relax and sleep. The suite did not have a bathtub, there were no toiletries, only big pumps attached to walls in the shower. I could ask but I think a 5-star hotel should have such niceties in the bathroom by default. The hotel felt a bit crowded, it is very popular for a good reason - it seems to be the only upscale hotel in Santa Cruz. The location is nothing to write home about, off a hugely busy avenue. The cleanliness was good although I don't think they vacuumed the room daily, not even sure if they washed the floor in the room daily, only in the bathroom maybe. We liked the hotel and we would stay there again but maybe on the top floor with the garden view to minimize the noise issue. The staff again are very courteous and attentive to the guests' requests. Recommended.

Absolutely lovely city hotel with knowledgeable and attentive staff. The room was immaculate with a very comfortable bed. The shower was as powerful as a fire hose which was fabulous. The only two downsides we experienced were that, although there was plenty of choice at breakfast, we didn’t feel the quality was up to the standard to be expected of a hotel of this quality, and the fact that they allowed people to ‘claim’ sun beds around the same pool using anything, a book, bottle of water etc. I find this particularly frustrating when it’s a small pool area relative to the number of rooms, and that most people don’t spend all day by the pool. Set a fair but firm bed clearing policy and stick to it. This way hopefully all guests can enjoy some pool time with sun lounging. If we are back in Santa Cruz we will definitely stay here again.

Title: "Disappointing Experience - Far from a 5-Star Stay" Rating: ★★★☆☆ I recently stayed at this hotel, which is advertised as a 5-star establishment. However, my experience suggests otherwise. In all honesty, it aligns more with a 3-star rating, both in terms of value and the quality of services provided. Upon arrival in the afternoon, our room wasn't ready, which was the first sign of a lacking service standard. Despite requesting a quiet room during booking, we were assigned one on the second floor facing a busy street. The room was opposite a restaurant with outdoor seating, resulting in a noisy environment throughout the night. The poor noise isolation of the windows, which barely made a difference whether open or closed, exacerbated the situation. The food quality was mediocre at best, failing to meet the expectations set by the hotel's rating. While the staff was generally okay, their service did not reflect the high standards typically associated with a 5-star hotel. In terms of pricing, it aligns more with what you would expect from a 3-star hotel. While the cost might be reasonable for a 3-star, the hotel should reconsider its 5-star advertisement and attitude. It is essential for guests to adjust their expectations accordingly, as the hotel does not deliver the quintessential 5-star experience. In conclusion, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. The combination of inadequate room readiness, noise issues, average food, and service levels falls short of what one would anticipate from a hotel claiming a 5-star status.

I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities I could need. The service was exceptional, with the staff always going the extra mile to make sure my needs were met. The location was perfect, with easy access to Santa Cruz. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
