surroundings and garden very clean. breakfast varied. Dinner varies in quality. Sometimes the warm food was really not good. The room is clean but old fashioned. It is practically impossible to find a free chair at the swimming pools, people "reserve" chairs with a towel very early in the morning. Swimming pools filled with salt water, not my thing. My son was not allowed in the sauna with me (7 years old). Has been taking saunas in Finland with me since I was 3 years old.
Overall ok.

Five stars due to the staff who were amazing, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Aphroditi who served us at breakfast was always bright and cheerful.
We had a bungalow with a sea view and had amazing sunsets every evening, the balcony position could not have been better.
I thought the food was really good and my son who is vegetarian was very happy. You do need to check the vegetarian food ingredients as some labels were marked vegetarian incorrectly, but on the whole it was fine.
The shows were great fun, we were still laughing the next day after some of them.
We rented a car and I am glad we did. It was an interesting experience driving in Crete and very easy. We rented the car from the airport and it gave us the freedom to visit the sites on our own agenda and still make use of the all inclusive at the hotel.
The pools are salt water, not huge, but we didn't find them over crowded at any time.
There is a real issue with groups sticking a towel on a lounger and not using it or only using it for a small portion of the day. We are more nomadic and like to roam between pools and the sea, so it wasn't a major issue. If we spotted a towel which had been there for a while, we just commandeered the loungers, we never got challenged.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff good food. My husband has mobility issues, the beach was down a hill and going up quite steep. Kindly one of the bell boys drove us down in a buggy and the hotel let us borrow a wheelchair in which my son in law pushed him up. Equally the theatre is a good walk too.
On the whole lovely holiday.

Terrible food, over seasoned, salty, meat in the ‘vegetarian’ options. Nothing labelled correctly. Dining hall is overcrowded. Long queues at buffet. Tables not always set. Self serve drinks so like a canteen.
‘Bungalow’ isn’t a bungalow.
Pool bar ran out of cups.
Pool bar closed early.
I wouldn’t recommend this place, the overall dining experience completely ruined our holiday.
This place is rated 4/4.5 stars but it isn’t.
Management expect you to spend more money with their chain of hotel before getting any form of compensation. Absolutely ridiculous.
If you’re already there we recommend getting the land train to the town, we had the best meal we ate in the whole 10 days there in a little restaurant overlooking the beach. Really reasonable, lovely staff and tasty food.

First and foremost... what a service!
I called the Hotel beforehand because I wanted to ask to bring a guest. They could clarify the situation so fast and even upgraded our room. Thank you to the booking department.. What a thoughtful attention I didn't expect!
We were welcomed by the lovely receptionist Giannis who guided us through our check-in. A friendly bellboy helped us to carry the luggages to our room.
Our stay was only for 4 days but memorable. The staff is super friendly especially the lovely Animation Team! They put so much effort to keep us unbored!
The evening shows were really nice too!
Overall, everything was nice but we were not expecting the pool to be saltwater. Even if everything was super clean, I did question the hygiene in the pools. They seem to not clean their water...! I wore a beige swimsuit and it came out yellow because of the few liters of sunscreen in the pool...
About the buffet, a lot to chose from but somehow not really tasteful.
After all, these are just details we loved our stay!
