This resort is huge and overall quite well equipped and beautiful. The beach and location is absolutely lovely. There are a few trees popping up and the sand is extremely fine. There's a okay sized pool for dipping at the Zilara side, and an additional one for Club Members. Never felt I had to fight for a chair and there were plenty. Room was very generous in size. We had a balcony with a small view of the ocean. There were tons of closet and drawer space. The finishes were calming and modern but they were showing signs of wear. Cracks on our bathroom counter are apparent, the hairdryer was a very cheap model and broken. Not sure why there's no ventilation in the toilet room though. Water pressure and temperature in shower is great. Food is just okay. Nothing is outstanding and there were some misses here and there. Desserts at the buffet were not great overall and I wish the staff were a bit more knowledgeable on what foods they were serving. I went to the cheese counter and asked what cheese are in the display but the staff could not give me an answer. I found the food choices at breakfast and lunch to be lacking. Unless you were a part of the Club Member group, you can't access certain restaurants during the day. It would be great if they had maybe one rotating theme for lunch, other than burgers/ hotdogs etc. I had the opportunity of having a burger at the grill which was quite pink inside and not cooked thoroughly. Went to one of the specialty restaurants one night and they didn't flambe my banana foster dessert but did it for the next table - odd inconsistancies. Drinks again were a hit or a miss. The ones at the pool were quick and dirty. The ones at the dedicated bars were great. Overall service was a hit or miss. Some staff were super polite and friendly, and there were others that didn't want to help you or were sneaking some bites of ice cream for themself, while there were a few guests waiting in line. There could be room for improvement in overall hospitable traits and professionalism. Cant help but notice the insane amount of wastage this hotel produces. Wish there were some initiatives to be more mindful and conscious of consumption and overall wastage control. For example, at the buffet the portions are huge for an order. I ordered scallops on the grill and they gave me 6-7 large scallops. It would be great if portions are reduced at the buffet since the idea would be to go around and be able to try a few more items. For the price you pay, unless you're someone who can consume a lot, I think the hotel is just okay. It's a premium price for subpar food, service and environment.

We just returned from an incredible week at the Hyatt Zilara, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The quality of the food and the variety of restaurants were outstanding—far beyond any other hotel we’ve stayed at. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming, with an attention to detail that made us feel like part of the family. We stayed in the Zilara section, which is adults-only, but the resort also offers the Ziva side for families. Every evening featured fantastic shows, along with surprise performances by talented artists in different areas of the resort. Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean. Housekeeping was impeccable, with daily cleaning, evening turndown service, and even midday visits to ensure we had everything we needed—water, towels, and more. I highly recommend trying the Blind Butcher experience. This specialty restaurant, available at an additional cost, is absolutely worth it. The culinary experience was phenomenal, complemented by live performances every 15 minutes, including dancing and singing acts that made the evening unforgettable. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Pedro Thomas and his entire team, with special recognition to Jenny and Darling for their exceptional hospitality. A big thank you as well to our butler, Osiris, for his attentiveness and availability throughout the week, and to Anthony and Daniela from The Pier restaurant for their outstanding service.

We stayed over the holidays in December 2025. The resort is immaculate, beautiful, & upscale. We felt like it was sort of like a little city or cruise on land if you will. What made it even better, was the staff. Manuel and Kayla (not sure of her full name) in the activities department were amazing. They got the guests involved with the many fun activities that are offered. We enjoyed the crafts, aqua fitness classes (water bikes - so cool), darts, and silent disco. Our son was surprised by + LOVED the impressive gym. He said it was just as nice if not nicer than his gym at home. And they have an outdoor pickleball court! Our daughter wasn't feeling well one of the days and did not participate in the daily craft. Kayla made her that day's craft so that she could have it to take home. So sweet! Manuel was hysterical and works hard. He kept us laughing and active. Ashton at the front desk and Patti, our room attendant were lovely. And Mayreni was the best. We also loved all of the musicians that entertained us all week. We miss Hyatt and Ziva (the stray kitties that made an appearance nightly). Free pet therapy! Our only critique is to play less Adele at the pool...LOL. We loved that it was an adults only resort, but we could go next door to the Ziva side if we wanted (which we did for some of the restaurants - I'm still dreaming about the Burratta Pizza at the Italian place). The staff takes such pride in their jobs and really strive to make the guest experience a memorable one. We will be back!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE! ❤️ Food is amazing, room was spotless clean, staff was wonderful to us. They have a very cute gesture of putting their right hand on their hearts everytime they pass by guests. I thought this was a genuine, beautiful gesture of gratitude. This was the best experience I've had in a resort and I'm truly happy with my stay beginning to end. Ps: I'm gluten allergic and they have good options such as croissants, ciabatta bread and muffins for breakfast. THANK YOU HYATT ZILARA. I'm definitely coming back!

Our family of 15 had a great stay at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and would absolutely return. We stayed at the Club level and really enjoyed having access to the club pool and bar. Special thanks to Wilin, who took great care of our group at the club pool throughout our stay. We used the spa, which was very nice with plenty of attendants. Massage therapists Albania and Morania stood out and both provided excellent treatments. The head of food and beverage, Edgar, went above and beyond, checking in with us daily. The food across the resort was very good. We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts, and we all agreed the food here was better than the others. Our favorites were Waves, with great service from Patricio, and Noodle and Thread. The gym was top notch. If you play golf, there are excellent courses nearby. Overall, this resort was a great fit for our group, and we are already planning to book again next year.
