Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana was EXACTLY as advertised. Really nice resort, incredibly nice staff who were very attentive and the food was excellent. We never had problems getting seated at their many restaurant options. Definitely would recommend. We had never been to the Dominican Republic and were concerned about safety given the proximity with Haiti. There ended up being no reason for concern. The area of Punta Cana was really nice and the airport was exceptional. Actually it was way better than other Caribbean islands that I have visited. After being there, I'm actually interested in seeing more of the Dominican Republic. What I saw was impressive. The only negative was the snorkeling was not good. If you are into that, make sure you do your research. The reef we were taken to ended up being out in front of the Hyatt Zilara and there really wasn't much there to see.

We have stayed for 4 nights, the resort itself is impressive, very clean and very taken care of.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We liked the food, the buffet restaurant was good and had a big variety of food.
Other restaurants were medium, we tried the journeys(Indian) - which was decent, but with a very low variety. the steakhouse(waves) - which wasn’t good in our opinion - every ‘premium steak’ costs money.
and also the tempest(Asian/Mongolian) - which was okay, but nothing impressive.
Room was good, with a nice balcony and everything you could need.
Pool, with music was nice, although the fact that the bar is closing in 6, when the pool runs until 7, just seems ain’t good.
The hotel is ‘Adults Only’ but restaurants are shared with the other family hotel, beach is shared, night activities are usually on the family section. - which is bad, 0 night activities for adults. Literally no place to dance in the evening.
Also, you’re requested to add 100$ per day, to enjoy the club member’s amenities, which isn’t cool at all. There’s a pool which is only for them. A bar, and some restaurants are open just for them in specific times.
They’ve given us macaroons and champagne twice to the room, which was very nice. And also agreed for a late check out without any extra cost. Which was nice.
Overall - thought we would enjoy more, and get more from our Hyatt experience, but didn’t stand with our expectations of a luxury 5 stars vacation. Wouldn’t recommend to go for a honeymoon.

We stayed at the Hyatt Zilara for our honeymoon! We stayed in a Club Room which gives you access to a special pool, bar, and certain restaurants. Our room gave a view of the ocean, it was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our experience at the Spa for a couples massage! There was a hydrotherapy session before our massage that was included! The entertainment at night could have been better; we did not ever stay for a full show. We did enjoy some of the live music at the pool. The restaurants were more quiet and intimate on the Zilara side. We did venture over to the Ziva side for dinner a couple nights and it was a little hectic with the kids. The service could have been quicker at some bars and restaurants. Sometimes we had to wait quite some time before getting acknowledged at the club pool bar. We participated in a few of the activities offered like beach yoga, arts&crafts, and a cooking class. These were all fun! Overall, we had a nice honeymoon but this resort did not meet up to the 5 star standards!

I just recently visited this amazing resort. I went with my husband and we had a great time. The grounds are beautiful, the resort is spectacular and the service was great. The staff was very friendly, helpful went out of their way to make our stay great. The restaurants had great food and so many options. I will definitely come back to this resort again!

My stay at this all-inclusive resort was overall enjoyable, thanks to the wonderful pools and attentive staff. The pools were pristine and offered a refreshing retreat from the sun, perfect for relaxation.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure guests had a pleasant experience, always ready to assist with any needs or inquiries.
However, the food at the resort was a miss. While there were options available, the quality and taste left much to be desired. It would be great to see an improvement in this aspect to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
Despite this setback, the resort's beautiful amenities and excellent service make it a decent choice for a relaxing getaway. With a bit of improvement in the culinary offerings, it could easily become a top destination.
PS- Eli the butler and the club pool bartenders are the best!
