Donald Lamp
All of the employees were the warmest people I ever met. We had such a great time and were sad to leave. The most notable employees were Berenice who worked at Las Mareas pool bar. She was always smiling and happy and worked nonstop, the bartenders Roberto and Juan, the activity specialist Manuel, and lastly Melvin, one of the restaurant servers. Melvin had infinite patience explaining the menu at the Indian restaurant. The manager at the El Mercado buffet, Jean Cortos Minaya, was extremely personable and interacted with the guests and ran his restaurant like a well oiled machine. The Deja Brew coffee employees were the best and so was their coffee. Overall it was a fantastic trip and I want to return!

Amazing place, amazing staff. I came from another resort in Punta Cana, where on my last meal there, I got food poisoning. I would probably never get it if I just stayed here the entire time. I started feeling pretty sick on my first night here, and the staff did everything in their power to make me feel good, even though I was pretty sick the entire time. We had a booking reservation problem, and they gave us a better room than the one we booked, with no extra charge. I didn't want to pay for the doctor visit when I started feeling sick, and they offered the checkup for free. They gave me a welcome-back gift when I arrived from the hospital. They got me 3 bottles Gatorade in my room after I asked them I needed a hydration drink. They really do everything to make you have a good time here, even if you're in a bad state. Thank you for everything, hopefully I can come back soon in full health to properly enjoy it!

This was my first all-inclusive stay, and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana set the bar very high. I spent 4 nights here on a solo getaway and had an amazing experience from start to finish. As a Hyatt Globalist, I enjoyed the club-level perks—and the service was truly exceptional. Special shoutout to Juan B. at the club pool—he was friendly, thoughtful, and kept the Presidentes (“Dominican water,” as he called them) flowing! We had great conversations and he really made me feel at home. It must be said: The bartenders at both the pool and the club lounge remembered my order right away, which made everything even better. Food across the resort was excellent. I especially loved the grilled burgers by the pool at lunch (very convenient) and the short rib tacos at Waves. My swim-up suite was beautiful, and the beach was just perfect—clean, peaceful, and easy to enjoy. A fantastic first all-inclusive experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful location, wonderful hotel. The food and service were all amazing. The staff were kind, thoughtful, and helpful. Our favorite waiter was Bryan, at Shutters, who was so attentive and kind, and we enjoyed practicing our poor Spanish with him! The spa was also incredible; the 80-minute massage was the best I've ever had. All in all, an incredible experience for our anniversary. We hope to return some day!

Hotel is nice mostly clean area is beautiful but nothing to do at all besides the resort. First they knew we were having an anniversary and we got nothing for it at our room as we normally do at Hilton hotels. We told them about it and they said sorry we sent it to another room. We got to the room and the TV had a different name on it. They kept messing up our transportation times as well. What ever you do DO NOT LET THE PLAYA COLLECTION TAKE UP YOUR TIME THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND LIE TO YOU. The rest of the Staff is rude. Most are not welcoming and friendly. There are a few that were nice however there were more non friendly than friendly. My credit cards got stolen at the hotel. Whoever stole them tried charging over 700.00 on them in a town here in D. R. There is no comparison to going to Mexico playa del Carmen with how warm and welcoming the staff is there. Every single person was nice in Mexico. Here they made you feel like you were bothering them when you asked for anything. For 1000.00 a night or shouldn't be like that at all. Not even close. I'm very unhappy with the stay. Even when we paid to leave the resort the people were unfriendly as well. Not very nice people. Again I will stress there were a few very nice people but not many at all. The rooms were okay. Not worth the money. The shower was dirty and the counter was broken.
