Payton Hoover
This is my first time at an all-inclusive resort and it was fabulous! The staff are all so kind and welcoming at all times. The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone (same with lunch one). I am a very picky eater and was satisfied with my food options the entire trip! If I didn’t like something on the menu or wanted it completely plain, the chefs made it to order for me. The cafe offers great sandwiches, pastries, and ice cream. The bartenders are equipped to whip you up any drink you’d like! The Italian restaurant was probably my favorite meal of all. The pizza was delicious and the bread they brought out as an appetizer was amazing. The Vivid Bites food truck also offered great options for some authentic Mexican food. The beach club was a PHENOMENAL experience. The van ride over is a quick 5 minutes or less trip and it’s so worth it. Rumbia helped us get settled on some beds to relax in and waited on us for drinks the whole time. He was one of the nicest people. He was very attentive and checked on us consistently throughout both days we went to the beach club. I hope he is there when I return next year! Fabian was a great waiter at the restaurant upstairs at the beach club. The grilled chicken wrap was amazing and the fries are awesome, too. The main level pools at the resort are great for relaxing unless there is a DJ! Then it becomes more of a party vibe, which I didn’t mind since it’s only every so often and scheduled out in advance. Karaoke inside the Bloom Bar provided great entertainment. Guadalupe was our housekeeper and she did an amazing job getting the room back in order each day. I really can’t find anything to complain about with this experience as a first timer. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing resort. Amazing food and drinks. The service was impeccable and unmatched from all the resorts that I have attended over the years. The resort had access to a beach cub that had access to a great beach front where we were able to chill for a few hours. The views from the roof top infinity pool were amazing. This resort is on a golf course, which we didn't get a chance to golf but I am sure it would have been amazing. We went during the non peak season so it was nice to have the resort to only about 50% capacity.

Honest review not sure where these 5 came from but I’ll set it straights with some high lights, visited here with my wife for 4 days and 3 nights, Likes: 1) Resort is looks nice 2) rooftop pool looks great and clean 3) the restaurants had great 4) rooms updated, looks pretty good, great views Dislikes: 1) extremely small, you come into the resort and what u see initially is pretty much everything that is there, like 85% of it.You’ll be walking in circles all day. I mostly stayed in my room and slept, and when on excursions outside of resort. Only one side of building is complete currently. There still building the other side. 2) All thats there is the 2 main pools and the roof top pool which they say u cant get to unless u purchase access for the day or get the vantage membership. 3) this resort was boring, lacking in fun activities, most of the time they did water aerobics. Night life was pretty quiet. There’s Nothing there to casually pass the time. 4) the excursions offered were expensive representative told 150-200 per person 5) the buffet was just disappointing when I came in this is the first meal I had and it was really lack luster, not many options and variety. Decided I won’t be getting that dinner again. 6) some workers acted a bit standoff ish didn’t give me that welcoming feeling I’ve gotten from others all inclusives apart UVC. 7) u have to shuttle to the beach cause there isn’t one onsight and the beach was pretty tiny, can’t SWIM in it 8) the worker who helped with introducing u to the resort and excursion was rushing everything it, I didn’t feel confident in them for felt I was in Good hands, he was bouncing from group to group, made some empty promises to my wife saying he would bring her a gift but we didn’t see him again 9) lack of privacy for weddings, a couple was getting married on the roof top next to the pool where in the root top pool can see, they didn’t close the pool for the hour, or effectively block section off. The bride came in and some of the strangers from the pool were talking to her, screening etc. vantage members had too much access to the bride and wedding, I’d hate that. I personally don’t want to go back but my wife’s hopeful and thinks they maybe get better in 2-3 years when they finish construction

Just got home from a girls trip with friends after 3 nights at the Hyatt Vivid Grand. We had a wonderful experience! Lots of research went into the choice to stay here & we were not disappointed. The Vantage Club was well worth the upgrade for the lounge, breakfast restaurant and rooftop pool - not even a question, I’d repeat in a heartbeat. Vantage also gets you top shelf alcohol. The friendliness and speed of service everywhere was top notch. From room service, pool servers, the beach club and the concierge desk - I can’t say enough great things…and I’m very picky! There’s an app to download upon arrival that outlines activities every day. More options than we could even take advantage of in a given day. Facilities are still new & in nice condition. It is a smaller place, but I didn’t even see it all in our 4 day/3 night stay. Would love to go back and experience more. Only areas I’d like to see improved would be clarity on the beach club shuttle times & ability to make more than one dinner reservation at a time. Small inconvenience to remember to make a new reservation each morning. Overall, very very pleased with the quality, service and experience at the Hyatt Vivid Grand!

This resort has potential and I can see it being top notch in a couple years but it's not quite there. Overall we did have a lot of fun & enjoyed ourselves. I would be willing to come back. Hoping they get some of the kinks worked out being a new resort. Pros: -The resort itself is beautiful. I love the whole boho vibe. As soon as you walk in, you just feel at ease. -rooms are spacious and views are breathtaking -fun activities: I really enjoyed the yoga class, stretching and breathing class, dream catcher activity, pool aerobics and volleyball games the staff did. The fit staff are very fun and really liven up the place. Shout out to Gamaliel, Johanna, and forgot the aerobics instructor but he called himself chocolate something. They were all so so nice and fun to be around! -beach club had really good food and nice views. Rumbia was our attendant twice and he was excellent!! Loved our service with him. -my favorite wait staff was Uber and Raul at Mediterraneo restaurant. They were so kind and positive and really made my night! Cons: -Resort doesn't have ability to text you to let you know your room is ready. It also has room keys instead of a wristband. -their luggage storage is just that wall right across from the main pool. It's an eye sore plus doesn't seem very secure. Even on the day we left we just grabbed our luggage that was on the wall and no-one stopped to check if it was ours. -slow service at the main pool -midnight dj at the amber location did not happen even though it was on the calendar. We walked over there at 11pm and it was empty. We later saw what seemed like an impromptu party by the lobby bar. Furniture wasn't moved to accommodate so it got too crowded to get to even get to the bar since the tables and chairs were in the way -food was mediocre; the best was probably the taco truck and beach club. We did enjoy the sea bass at Le Lys. Went to eat there again the next day on Saturday only to find it randomly closed. The pot roast at Mediterraneo was one of my faves, too. -at Le Lys they started cleaning up around us when it almost time to close. It was awkward and made us feel rushed as they cleared table cloths off tables next to us. There were still 5-6 tables still eating -needs a closer restroom to the main pool. There was a sign that indicated a restroom is near amber bar/taco truck but none actually exists. -outdoor night market is in between the two main pools. Very awkward walking thru having vendors trying to get you to buy stuff, especially when you're walking by multiple times to go use restroom
