Wonderful, Relaxing, and Memorable Stay! My hubby and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island, and it was truly an amazing experience. We created so many memories, and the resort offered a great balance of relaxation and entertainment. They really do have something for everyone. Entertainment: We played pool volleyball almost every day—it became one of the highlights of our trip. Orlando was incredibly engaging and kept the games fun and competitive. Caesar and “Mexican Chocolate” were also very entertaining and created a lively, enjoyable atmosphere for all the pool activities and exercise sessions. My favorite events were the Mexican Experience, Noctombar, and the White Party. • The Mexican Experience was beautifully done with delicious food and a cultural showcase. • The midnight DJ party was great as well, though it depends on the crowd. The DJ played great music and took requests. This is definitely not a hardcore party resort, and we loved that. We were looking for relaxation with just a touch of hype—and this resort delivered perfectly. Everyone we encountered was warm and friendly. We even played Mexican bingo for the first time, and it was surprisingly so much fun! Food: Ingride took such amazing care of us at breakfast. By our second day, she remembered us—and if she was working, we always asked to sit in her section. She was kind, attentive, and always smiling. She even remembered that I had mimosas the previous morning! We enjoyed the Japanese restaurant, and although we planned to try the Italian restaurant, the Mexican Experience event took its place that night. Everything we ordered throughout our stay was delicious and well seasoned. The omelette chef was also kind and entertaining—he made breakfast feel fun. Drinks: Like many all-inclusives, the drinks weren’t very strong, even when ordering doubles. That wasn’t a big issue since I could always ask for a separate shot. Room: Our room was spacious, modern, and beautiful. We loved the view of the golf course—especially during sunrise. I also appreciated that the shower and toilet were in separate spaces. My only complaint is the shower door: it doesn’t seem to close fully or sit level, so water leaked onto the bathroom floor. Otherwise, the room was perfect. We also had two bottles of wine, though we didn’t spend much time in the room to enjoy them. Beach Club: The Beach Club was wonderful. The ocean was incredibly blue and beautiful—postcard perfect. Service on the first row by the beach could use slight improvement, as we had to request drinks a few times. However, when we sat near the top section, service was quick and consistent for both drinks and food.

We booked here after looking off and on for a couples quick getaway. The resort is conveniently located from the airport, and overlooks either the bay or golf course. The shuttle to the beach is a short 8-10 minute drive and looks like a postcard perfect landscape. The food will not drop your jaw but Aglio had several consistent great Italian plates. The drinks are what you would expect. Be specific in what you want. Staff across the entire resort is very kind and observant. They are most welcoming in all aspects and made this a place we will certainly plan to return to.

Great place to stay for about 4 days. The food was amazingly fresh. We loved the Mexican Restaurant (Dalia) and the Ceviche Bar (Fresco Ceviche). Dalia and Fresco Ceviche were so good, we went to both twice on trip. Our most handsome server Alexis at Dalia had great energy, was very attentive; all the staff (Head chef, head server, etc..) at Dalia made our visit exquisite. Our server Raymundo at Fresco Ceviche was very accommodating and friendly, the chef at Fresco Ceviche made the best Ceviche (The Chef's special was absolutely delicious). The beach club was amazing, the views, food, music and hospitality were exceptional. The food truck chef and servers delivered great food and service. All aspects of the resort are clean, well organized and service is quick. However, my critique is that I would prefer to have more sound dampening in the room, between the rooms and in the hallway. Also, there were certain areas in the main lobby that leaked water from the ceiling. Overall, I loved the experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

spent 7 nights in late November as a couple in our early 30’s. We’ve stayed at other all-inclusives before, and this was our first time at a Hyatt AI property. We really enjoyed our stay. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the food was good quality, and the staff are attentive and fun. We had a great time poolside most days we were here and never had an issue finding a chair. Our server Oliver made our time at the pool wonderful- he was very attentive and kept our glasses full and our hunger tamed every day. The Vivid 1 pool is heated, perfect for a morning or evening swim or a windy or overcast day. The Vivid 2 pool is not but felt great after being out in the hot sun. The rooftop pool (Vantage only) was definitely the coldest pool, but we still didn’t have any issue with the temp with us being in the sun all day. The rooftop was nice for a calmer, more serene vibe- but we actually preferred hanging out around the main pools downstairs. We did the beach club 2 days we were there. The shuttle is hot and stuffy, but it is only 10 minutes (half the drive is just getting off the property). The beach club property itself is gorgeous and the sand is prestine. They deliver your drinks and food right to your beach chair- the poke nachos are the perfect beach snack! The water was a good temperature and the waves were fun (it was a yellow flag day most days we were there). The beach club IS in high-demand and the only place we had trouble getting a chair, so recommend getting there in the morning and making a day of it. The activities schedule has something every hour of the day, from health and wellness activities like sound healing, pickleball, and yoga/pilates to fun activities like wine tasting, music trivia, and poolside games/challenges. Rebecca, Angel, Orlando, Caesar and the entire entertainment crew do a great job of keeping guests engaged and having a good time. We thought the food at the resort was good quality and on-par with other resorts we’ve been to. The international buffet has a great mix of food every day for breakfast and lunch and always had something we liked. The rooftop breakfast (Vantage only) was a nice touch. The welcome mimosa was a nice touch and The Croque Madame was as good as the views! The ceviche restaurant by the main pool is a must-try, it was so so good and a great afternoon snack. Oishi (Japanese) was our favorite- the Yakimeshi, mixed teppanyaki and sushi were delicious with the fried banana spring roll dessert. We really enjoyed the portobello carpaccio, Cacio e pepe, and penne from Aglio (Italian). Mediterraneo had really good Kofta and Shawarma as well as Khachapuri. Dalia (Mexican) had a tasty catch of the day and Nayarit-Style Fish Tostadas. The sweet corn cream soup and northern-style beef were good comfort food. Overall the food hit the spot and we always were able to find something we liked. It met our expectations for resort food and exceeded it in some areas. They do a good job with their options and menus- I do wish there were more late-night options though. We really enjoyed the time we spent at this resort, the people we met and the experiences we shared were fantastic. We found this resort to be a great value and would stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in Cancun and would rate it 2-3 stars. While the hotel itself is modern and clean, and the daytime entertainment is pretty good, the food was a major disappointment and the service often came with unnecessary attitude. Food Quality: The food was honestly awful. It felt like they reused leftovers from the specialty restaurants in the buffet, and everything was either too greasy, too salty, or way too sweet. The late-night food option was horrendous. They had a small cafe with a few basic sandwich options. But if you came past 10 pm, all they would serve you was basically a plain grilled ham and cheese sandwich with literally one slice of ham and one slice of cheese! That was it! On one night, we came back and a group of people in front of us wanted the croissant sandwich, which as usual by 10 pm they said they didn’t have. They told the group in front of us they were out of cheese, so it would just be ham… first of all, that’s ridiculous but when it was our turn they did serve us with cheese. So not sure why the lied to the group in front of us. If you came back late and were hungry, you’d be stuck eating a bunch of bread just to fill up. Many times you’d go to get ice cream around 9 pm or 12pm and they would’ve locked it up… The only decent and somewhat good food was their Vantage Club, which you had to pay an extra $50USD/ per day to use their rooftop pool and get decent food. I shouldn’t have to pay extra money just to get decent food. If it was elite michelin star restaurant then I don’t mind paying more for it, but not for just decent food that should already be part of the standard package. Service Issues: We had a group of 14 people across seven rooms, and multiple times we got attitude just for making normal requests, like asking for water or a few sandwiches. It wasn’t a one-time thing; it happened repeatedly over our week-long stay. Some staff were nice, but the overall attitude problem made the experience worse. I shouldn’t get attitude for asking for 10 bottles of water for our group. Comparison to Breathless Cancun: Last year, I stayed at the Breathless Cancun resort, and their late-night food options were amazing by comparison. They had a variety of fresh, ready-to-go sandwiches that were actually filling. It’s disappointing that at Hyatt Vivid, I had to pay extra for the Vantage Club just to get decent food. For a resort that costs what it does, that’s just not acceptable. In summary, the Hyatt Vivid is a clean, visually appealing place with decent entertainment, but the terrible food and recurring staff attitude issues really dragged the experience down. I won’t be returning ever again and won’t be coming back to it ever again.
