Hotel review We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Dubai from 8th to 15th April, travelling as three families and occupying three rooms on the same floor all thanks to the exceptional coordination and customer service we received from the very beginning. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and top-tier professionalism. The customer service at this hotel is second to none. Every member of staff we interacted with from the reception to housekeeping, from concierge to dining went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, satisfied, and well taken care of throughout our stay. Housekeeping and Room Service A special mention must go to the housekeeping team, who did a phenomenal job every single day. Our rooms were always spotless, fresh, and perfectly arranged. Any additional items or services we requested whether extra towels, toiletries, or room-specific needs were delivered promptly and with a smile. It made us feel truly at home. Dining Experience The breakfast service at the main restaurant was also impressive. The waiters and waitresses were attentive, polite, and professional, often going above and beyond by bringing freshly made omelettes, teas, and coffees directly to our tables. This level of attention made breakfast particularly enjoyable. However, we noticed a contrast in service when visiting the 25th floor lounge, where the experience was entirely self-service. While the offerings were still good, it didn’t quite match the personal touch we experienced in the main restaurant. That said, it was a minor difference and did not significantly impact our overall experience. Exceptional Staff We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to a few staff members who truly made our stay exceptional: • Pranav: From the very start, Pranav was a rockstar. He helped secure three adjacent rooms for our families, which made coordinating our holiday so much easier. His support continued throughout our stay, especially with the beautiful anniversary setup he arranged for us on 10th April. Pranav is a credit to the hotel and a genuine example of what great hospitality looks like. • Salma (Reception): Salma’s professionalism and warm presence made all our interactions seamless. She ensured our and day-to-day queries and check out were handled quickly and correctly, always with a kind smile and calm approach. • Christine (Concierge): Christine deserves a special thank you for organizing a truly magical anniversary celebration. She arranged for our room to be elegantly decorated, with flowers and a card placed perfectly on the bed, and provided a custom anniversary cake and fresh coconut just as I’d requested. It was an unforgettable night for us, and her attention to detail was outstanding. We also had a light-hearted moment when we requested a message on our cake to read: “Happy Anniversary with a love heart shape (❤️)”. In addition to drawing the actual heart shape, someone wrote it literally as “with a love heart shape,” which gave us all a good laugh and became a memorable and funny story that we shared with the reception and concierge teams. Overall Experience Overall, our stay at the Hyatt Regency Dubai was nothing short of fantastic. The level of care, attention, and comfort provided made this holiday one to remember not just for us but for all three families travelling together. The staff are the real gem of this hotel, and we left with full hearts and wonderful memories. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai whether you’re travelling as a couple, a family, or a large group.

A good hotel which has seen better days. Have stayed at several Hyatt Regency hotels and you tend to get a pretty consistent level of service. The Hyatt Regency Dubai is pretty standard for the brand but you can see where the cuts to service are starting to move the hotel towards a budget feel. The bathroom amenities feel cheap, the usage of QR codes in place of Menu/Information for example are all more Premier Lodge than Hyatt. The pillows as well seemed very cheap and the extra bed for our child had clearly seen better days. We mostly ate in the lounge which was a nice atmosphere and had an ok, but limited choice of drinks between 6 and 8pm as well as a small selection of dinner, which was perfectly adequate. The service in the lounge was good but slightly chaotic in organization. The hotel also has a mini mall (about 6 to 8 shops) attached with an Ice rink, which is great if you like that kind of thing. Location wise the hotel is close to the Gold Souk and the Creek which is what we were here for so it was a good base for us for this trip.

I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency Dubai, and while the hotel offers a well-maintained property with some good amenities, the overall service experience left much to be desired. One of the more frustrating experiences began with a simple request for honey and salt, as my mother was dealing with a sore throat. We were told these items would be chargeable, which we accepted and paid for. However, after we left the room, the cleaning staff removed them. Upon returning, we noticed they were gone and immediately informed the receptionist, requesting they be sent back to the room. Unfortunately, no action was taken. It wasn’t until the next morning, when we explained the entire situation to the restaurant staff during breakfast, that someone finally responded with empathy. They promptly provided honey and salt again—this time along with a complimentary cup of ginger tea, which was a thoughtful gesture and genuinely appreciated. Beyond this, the general level of staff knowledge and hospitality was quite underwhelming. Many seemed unaware of basic hotel information such as breakfast timings or directions to facilities like the Skybar. Outside of two competent receptionists—particularly Neha, who stood out for her professionalism—most staff lacked the warmth or confidence typically expected at a property of this level. Basic courtesies like smiling or polite engagement were noticeably absent. We also found the hotel's approach to transportation concerning. Staff consistently encouraged the use of hotel-arranged taxis, which were significantly more expensive—by approximately 40–50 AED—than local options. As someone familiar with local pricing, I opted for domestic taxis, but for tourists unaware of the difference, this could easily feel misleading. While the spa and swimming pool facilities were both excellent and provided a relaxing break from the service-related issues, the Regency Club food offering was average and didn’t reflect the exclusivity it aims to promote. Additionally, although our room was satisfactory in terms of space and cleanliness, the pillows and bedding were not comfortable, making it difficult to get a restful night’s sleep. In summary, while Hyatt Regency Dubai has the framework of a quality hotel, the inconsistent service, lack of attentiveness, and gaps in hospitality training significantly affected our stay. A more guest-centric approach and improved staff training would go a long way in aligning the experience with the expectations that come with the Hyatt brand.

This is a hotel that has a good legacy and has the potential to be run much better. Good location, views, rooms, facilities, service, grandeur, and a lot of things are well done but one of the most important things - breakfast food and how it is managed, just let you down so much here. This experience is based on the breakfast buffet alone but for 4 days straight and nothing much changed on any of these days. Gets EXTREMELY crowded during breakfast and the experience is far from pleasant. Poorly managed and it was very disappointing. Good efforts from all the people providing the service at the hotel, but it's just too disappointing to see that tables are not available, you have to go to another restaurant elsewhere in the hotel or sit in the ballroom for breakfast where there is hardly any service, some dishes are not available, etc., etc... it's too much to talk about. I repeat, this has the potential to do much better despite being one of the oldest (45 years), big hotels in the area. Note - this is not the only big hotel I stayed at while in Dubai, this is not the only Hyatt I have stayed at.

The hotel was overcrowded. The service provided was substandard. The breakfast spread was less than average. It was like a fish market crowded ,language barrier .The first day breakfast that I had in some hall - felt like I’m at a wedding party where people are fighting for food, the whole ambience was dead and unappetising. The second second day I was adamant that I will have it in the proper restaurant so that i could eat . Absolute waste of money, people with families must refrain because it’s very crowded. There is no extra service or you know help provided, even if you have kids unlike other hotels where they want to make sure that the kids and the families are made to be felt at home, never coming back, even though we are members of Hyatt, this particular night trip was very sad. I mean being in Middle East. I thought this was going to be a luxury property but trust me the other Hyatt properties are like really, really good.
