The Foodie's Diary

We recently had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Bali. Our room was spacious, and we loved the separate balcony area indoors. This meant we could enjoy the views with the comfort of air conditioning – a huge plus in the Bali heat! A definite highlight for us was the turtle sanctuary on-site. It's a fantastic educational experience for kids (and adults!), offering a chance to learn about these amazing creatures and conservation efforts. The hotel has a private beach, though it was not so clean (washed up debris). Pool area was excellent, with plenty of shaded spots. What we love the most is the luscious, well-maintained garden – truly greenery everywhere you look. The hotel's location is also convenient, about 20-30 minutes by car from airport. Overall a great stay for families

This is a sprawling property, well maintained with the widest beachfront of all the properties on the promenade. Comfortable beds and good water pressure in the rooms are important factors I look for and no disappointment here. The rooms also had USB ports which are convenient. This is a true 5 star property with its friendly, well trained staff. It’s the little touches that make it 5 star. They noted it was our anniversary and they gave us a cake and roses for my wife. The breakfast room has chilled cabinets throughout to hold perishables like cheese, fruit and yogurt so guests do not experience Bali Belly. If I could make a suggestion to management, it would be that they rearrange the breakfast room because it’s a bit of a maze and guest keep bumping into each other. My recommendation to travelers with mobility issues is that because the property is so large, that they request a room near the lobby or restaurants. The hotel does not offer buggy services. The surf and turf BBQ on the beach is excellent and I can recommend you experience it for yourself. The ambience is amazing with lights on the beach and most guests take their shoes off to walk in the sand. Entertainment is via Balinese dance. I would most definitely stay here again when I next visit Sanur.

Really nice hotel. The facilities, garden, pools, spa, gym, service are outstanding. Breakfast at Omang Omang is another level with the quality and wide offering of options. Pizzaria restaurant is good with a beach front view. Great location, as there is plenty of places to dine out and enjoy local food with great atmosphere. There is a turtle village next to the hotel which is a great activity if travelling with kids. Everyone in the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The beach is amazing much better than Nusa Dua, with lots of fishermen and water activities. I’ve been in Bali many times and this hotel in this location by the beach, is a great combination for a luxury hotel in an area where you can explore and enjoy the Bali vibes. Only comment is that TV System in the room is a bit outdated, these days is quite normal to have access to Netflix, Disney, etc in the room specially when you’re travelling with kids.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is great, garden area is awesome. Direct access to the beach, plenty of top notch food and drink options. The hotel is a bit of a labyrinth though with so many rooms. The rooms I would not describe as 5 star. They are quite small and the interior is quite outdated.
