my husband and i came here on our honeymoon and i don’t have the words to express how perfect our experience was from beginning to end. from the moment we grabbed our bags, we were seamlessly escorted by a hurawalhi staff member who helped check our bags in for the sea plane transfer and guided us to the lounge, which was beautiful and offered complimentary food/beverages and a beautiful viewing deck where you could watch sea planes take off and land. the sea plane experience was exceptional - getting a birds eye view of the stunning atolls throughout maldives was such a special treat. after the plane landed, we had a 5 minute speed boat ride to the resort in which we got cold towels. they greeted us at the dock and the check-in process was seamless (we did most of it on the hurawalhi app while in the lounge waiting for our sea plane). we were given a tour by our incredible island host, Yum, who escorted us to the single most beautiful room i have ever stayed in. from this moment onwards, we had the most perfect time with mind blowing hospitality, the BEST food and drinks, and the best and most unique excursions. the undersea restaurant is a must!! tushar and his team, haskko and ruwindi, and the executive chef and his whole team made us feel at home every single day. this was the first vacation i’ve ever taken where i was near tears when it came time to leave. we can’t wait to be back one day. i don’t have a single piece of feedback or complaint, hurawalhi exceeded all of our expectations. it’s been a few days since we left and we still can’t stop thinking about the staff and our experience. thank you all for the honeymoon and the trip of a lifetime, we will never forget it :’)

WOW! Hurawalhi Resort is just amazing - don't hesitate to book. Everything was perfect from our first arrival in Male airport to getting on the plane home. The resort is beautiful with wonderful snorkeling just on the doorstep - I would say some of the best snorkeling we have ever done. The dive team are also fantastic. Food is wonderful, with such a great variety and I never had any issues as a vegetarian. Special shout out to Rahul the most wonderful chef! The rooms are beautiful and kept very clean and tidy with twice a day cleaning and a very generous mini bar. Overall, would highly recommend - we had such a wonderful holiday and would be very keen to return in the future! To the management: Thank you for running such a wonderful resort and making our trip so memorable. I would like to highlight some of your staff who deserve some very positive feedback. Hassan - an absolute credit to your resort, met us every morning with a smiling face, always a positive attitude, looked after us so well Rahul - a brilliant chef, works so hard to ensure every guest has a perfect experience, we were really impressed Panwar (Pradeep) - also a brilliant chef, always so friendly and makes exceptional pasta! Faiz - Kept our rooms spotless, was always so friendly when we bumped into him Sam - Our island host. Responded immediately to any request and made sure we were well looked after. Our stay at Hurawalhi has been absolutely wonderful – it truly feels like coming home. From the very first moment, we felt incredibly welcome and comfortable. The villas are beautiful, spacious, and perfectly maintained – a true paradise setting. What makes this place truly special, though, is the people. Every single team member is so kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly without ever feeling artificial or over the top. Their warmth feels natural and heartfelt. Today, I experienced an allergic reaction and only asked when a doctor would be available. Within 20 minutes, a very kind and highly competent doctor was there to take care of me. I was so impressed by how quickly and professionally everything was handled – it made me feel very safe and well looked after. A very special thank you to Shaa, our Island Host, who immediately took care of everything and responded so quickly, even late in the evening. Your support means so much to us. Hurawalhi is more than just a luxury resort – it’s a place where you feel truly cared for. We are so grateful and can’t wait to come back! 🌴✨

I went to Hurawalhi Island Resort in early March, 2024. Overall, the host was attentive, the resort was well maintained and the food was good. 5,8 undersea was truly an unforgettable experience. The house reef was very healthy too. The 2 half day fishing trips were also awesome! I caught Wahoo, coronation trout and plenty of trevallies, emperors and groupers as well as colorful triggers micro jigging for 3 - 4 hours each day. One very minor downside is that the villas were somewhat dated but were otherwise decently maintained.

A peaceful stay ruined by poor sleep Overall Impression The resort is small and adults-only, which guarantees a quiet atmosphere. However, due to a major design flaw and some service issues, it was not a "top resort" experience for us. We even decided to cancel our 2027 booking. The Room & Sleep Quality We stayed in an Ocean Pool Villa, and it was a mistake. The pool floor is too low, so during high tide (between 3:00–4:30 AM), the waves hit the villa so hard it caused loud noise and vibrations. We couldn’t sleep at all. We asked management to move us to a villa at the end of the jetty (which sits higher), but they refused and only offered a beach villa. Housekeeping & Amenities On a positive note, the cleaning service is excellent—the best we’ve seen in the Maldives! Our housekeepers were lovely. The villa is well-equipped, and the minibar/wine fridge is restocked daily and very well-supplied. Dining & Drinks Breakfast: Great selection of fruit (including mangosteen) and high-quality coffee. Lunch: The main restaurant (Canelli) had a very poor selection. We preferred the JFK bistro, which was much better. Dinner: High quality, especially the grilled dishes and French desserts. Kashibo (Asian): Very disappointing. The meat was tough and the quality was low. The only good thing was the view. Undersea 5.8: A beautiful experience, but at $900 (2 menus + champagne), it is overpriced. Wine: Even with the Premium All-Inclusive plan, they often didn’t have the wine we chose from the menu and brought a substitute. Facilities & SPA The fitness center is well-equipped with a nice view, though the windows needed cleaning. The SPA was clean, but the service was average. We found the constant upselling of products quite annoying—we only bought something so they would stop asking. Conclusion Hurawalhi is okay if you don't mind the noise of the ocean hitting your villa. But if you are a "foodie" looking for high-quality destination dining, there are much better resorts in the Maldives.
