We enjoyed our stay at the Hovima, however the drinks left a lot to be desired. The cocktails were from a machine without any fruits etc. The brands were not pleasant. The snack bar was really poor for me, I am a vegetarian and there was never a veggie choice for me. Between meals all I could have were chips! The food in the main restaurant was good, a few veggie options but you could do so much better. The storage space in the rooms are not great, nowhere for dresses except a metal hook on the wall. There is no storage beside the beds either. We stayed for 3 nights but had it been a week then we would have really struggled to unpack properly. I have to compliment you on the Christmas and New Year decorations... outstanding! The gift bag on new years eve was fab.

I went with my daughter . Have been once before . Had a great time the first time with nothing but praise so went back . We had a normal room that looked over the pool and had great views. This time (2nd visit) we were put by the bin alley , very noise . I didn’t notice at first that we also had an adjoining room too . ( adult only hotel ???) 1st couple of nights we had very loud snoring from next door which you wouldn’t of heard in a normal room ( not joined ) . We coped . When they left it was worse / horrible . We had a couple , they were very intimate and very loud and lots of buzzing . Not nice to hear when with a special needs daughter . Reps were helpful , best they could offer was for us to move . Wasn’t going to pack up all our stuff to far into hols for that and my daughter had got to no where we were so not ideal . I believe the hotel/ reps must have said something to the guess next door / moved them as it all went quiet. Thank you , I’m told that the hotel is allowed to sell these rooms like this so be aware of this . My daughter loves it here . It’s such a shame we had this experience . The only way I would go back is if we did not have to be at the same end of hotel , not have an adjoining room and given a pool view . Animation team were amazing, They made a huge fuss of my daughter and were very kind to her .she had an amazing time. Food was great on gala night (Christmas day evening ) and good the rest of time , lots of foods to choose from . Area can be a bit hilly if walking is a problem. All main staff amazing, happy and helpful . Nothing too much trouble . Lots of good things but definitely not as happy this time .

Return visit from last year, cleanliness and staff great very friendly. Food was still good but notably not as good as the previous year. Entertainment team great but the live acts were poor, last year residents at the 5 star hotel opposite were leaning off their balconies also enjoying the entertaining atmosphere but not this year. We may return but we have deep concerns about the emphasis of the excellence package and it's dominance for the coming season as we don't like the them and us ideology. The room was perfectly serviced and cleaned but somewhat tired, beds comfortable poolside as requested so no complaints, air conditioning fine. Enjoyed our holiday staff were fantastic thanks.

The hotel was great. The staff were really friendly and the service in the restaurant was excellent. New Year's Eve was one of the best NYE's we've had for a long time, the firework display was excellent. In our opinion we found the sunbeds to be uncomfortable and we were disappointed with no waiter service in the bar areas and only serving beer in half pint glasses, though this did not detract from our enjoyment.

Very good hotel - Rooms, Service and location all excellent. Just three points that we found a bit disappointing: 1) FOOD overall good, but not all the cooked food was that hot, some looks like it’s sitting around for a long while, plus fresh fruit not as good as other places we have stayed at, ie not as much choice - example being lots of pineapples, pears and oranges whole as decoration but not in chopped or sliced form to be able to eat easily. 2) In this day and age a ROOM SAFE for valuables should be standard without additional charges and deposits, payment is in advance, by cash only, and includes the deposit which you have to remember to ask for and even then they request seeing your receipt, then finally, reluctantly, give you your deposit back in cash. This is odd as all else is card payment, plus there’s no record of it on your account on the hotel computer. 3) You have a WRISTBAND secured to your wrist showing your board status for the time you’re there, but also 2 physical room key cards. We have stayed elsewhere in Spain and had a small magnetic door key incorporated onto the wrist band which was perfect and of course meant no extra carrying/leaving around room keys, you can swim with them on etc. These here would greatly improve the guest experience and we also additionally encountered issues with our room cards not always working and having to return to reception for maintenance.
