When I first arrived I have to admit that I was disappointed. I was hoping for more. I thought the hotel looked a little tired from the front. The value and beauty of this hotel is below the surface. The hotel has a great lounge, wonderful outdoor space and the pool area is a great space to spend the day. The staff are very attentive and make this place very relaxing. The rooms are slightly dated, see the photos. The downside. The noise from the building work on the road which looks like it has been going on forever can be annoying. If you want total peace and quiet this might not be the place for you. It is not constant but it can go on for hours. So if you want a relaxing hotel where the staff really do look after you then I recommend this Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá.

Me and my wife enjoyed our stay for the week we were there. Service was very good and staff was extremely accommodating. My biggest complaint, and this is the reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because the pool area which is very nice has ZERO music. Not only does this pool area no have any music, when me and my wife were sun bathing we had a Bluetooth speaker which we were listening to music on very low, the towel attendant came over to us and nicely asked for us to lower it. Now I understand if you're reading this you might think the music was too loud or inappropriate however we were playing Bob Marley summer hit (island music) and it was only loud enough for us to barely hear bc we had a couple 2 seats away from us. We actually checked with that couple to see if it was okay before we even took the speaker out and they said absolutely no problem, we would love to hear some music bc surprisingly there was nothing coming from the hotel. Overall I say the place in its entirety is an 8 out of 10 and I hope they have heard this recommendation about music from other guests and next time we come they satisfy the requests.

I stayed at the Gran Melia in Palma with my parents as they celebrated their anniversary; they also had their honeymoon there 38 years ago. The three of us had a wonderful time and loved our stay. Hopefully we can return. The hotel and rooms feel old-school luxurious, and the price point is way below what I expected for something so nice in a touristy city in Spain. There is a lot of marble and brass, plenty of space, nice art and lovely views of the marina. The breakfast buffet was great and has Spanish, American and British breakfast items. Don’t forget to try the traditional Mallorcan pastries! The outdoor pool is nice. There’s also a smaller indoor pool and a nice sauna to use by it. There’s outdoor seating above the pool level for the option to dine or drink al fresco. The lobby bar is nice and the bartenders and servers are all so nice and accommodating; everyone who worked at the hotel was so kind and helpful. Special Shout out to the handsome bartender Francisco who gave my mom a free glass of wine for her anniversary and always seemed genuinely happy to see us. We did the “level” option which came with an extra happy hour, which we enjoyed the hearty snacks and coffee, water and wine at every day. I would recommend this. The rooms were so comfortable and nice. I slept like a baby and loved the chocolates at turn down service. The little terraces were nice as well. I liked the location. you could walk out the back and down to the paseo along the marina. If felt central but not hectic. it wasn’t right in the center of the bustle of Palma, but was an easy cab or bus or a walk for those who want to get their steps in. There’s also some good restaurants and things right there. A super market and a great Thai massage place right there; also a wonderful local seafood restaurant called Manolos around the corner. We got good recommendations from the staff; don’t be afraid to ask them for help picking a restaurant, activities etc. they also will call you cabs that arrive very quickly or at a set time.

Our stay at this hotel was a great pleasure. The services of Red Level were amazing, here I would highlight the most from the staff Claudia, who was always helpful, willing and human, she is a woman you can see that she does her job with love. An unforgettable experience was how the hotel takes care of its guests, all the little things that awaited us as a surprise in the room to make us feel at home, we felt really special and we would love to come back again.
