I recently stayed at Riu Turquoise Hotel with my family and kids, and we had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, and perfect for families. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The food options were excellent with a good variety to keep everyone happy—including the kids! The entertainment team was fantastic, always full of energy and offering activities throughout the day. What we loved most was how family-friendly the entire resort is. The kids had a great time at the pool and RUILand, and we could truly relax knowing they were enjoying themselves in a safe and fun environment. Overall, our stay at Riu Turquoise was memorable, enjoyable, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommended for families looking for a stress-free and fun holiday experience!

Surprised in a GOOD way! We visited in November 2025 and can’t understand why this hotel doesn’t have a higher rating (currently 4.1). We were looking for a “cheaper” option than the surrounding hotels while still staying close to Le Morne. Based on the average rating, we expected an average hotel — but we were pleasantly surprised throughout our stay! Our personal highlight was the food. The buffet was consistently exceptional and offered great options for vegetarians. The quality and variety were definitely comparable to those at more expensive 5-star hotels we’ve enjoyed in the past. While it’s true that the beach directly in front of the hotel was windy on some days, you can always walk in either direction to find a more sheltered spot. No beachfront (facing the West, South or East) offered wind protection at all times! The gym was very small but had decent options for a gym enthusiast. (However, there was no hamstring machine…) Special thanks to the service team! They were always smiling, friendly, and very attentive.

We recently stayed at Riu Turquoise in Mauritius and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel’s location is beautiful, the atmosphere has a really nice, relaxing vibe, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, as Muslim guests, we were concerned about food and drink handling. We were told that the meat served is halal, which we appreciated, but halal food also needs to be free from any contamination with alcohol or pork products. On our first day, at the sports club bar, we asked for a non-alcoholic mojito, and another guest ordered a regular mojito with alcohol. The bartender used the same utensils for both, he mixed the alcoholic one first and then used the same spoon to stir ours. That was disappointing to see, as it defeats the purpose of requesting a non-alcoholic drink. The buffet food itself was great, with a wide variety and good quality. However, we chose to avoid even the halal meat options because pork pizza was served right next to the other non-vegetarian ones and appeared to be cut using the same cutters. This made us question whether cross-contamination might be happening in other areas as well. A few small suggestions: it would be great if breakfast started earlier or if the hotel could provide lunch boxes for guests leaving early. Also, it would be nice if the pools stayed open until 10 p.m, as closing at 8 p.m feels a bit early for those who enjoy a late-night swim. Overall, the hotel has lovely vibes, a great location, and very friendly staff, just some improvements around food handling and facilities would make it a perfect stay, especially for Muslim guests.

Since the moment we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Our entire stay was absolutely amazing. The staff were truly impressive! Attentive, kind, friendly, and above all, professional - is the only way I can describe them. Ally was the last team member we interacted with; he even made sure everything went smoothly at the end with our ride back to the airport. We were absolutely amazed by the staff. Amazed! Well done to the entire team! You are all stars! The beach, the room, and the resort overall were really beautiful. We had an amazing time with you, and we just want to thank you for looking after us so well.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and this experience was completely unacceptable. My first stay last year was excellent, but this time was the total opposite. I arrived in perfect health, yet immediately after my first meal at the restaurant, I developed severe diarrhea — and it has continued even after leaving the hotel. I did not come here to spoil my health. I came for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and instead I left feeling sick and extremely disappointed. We were a family of 11, including 2 babies, and **5 of us experienced the same symptoms** after eating the hotel food. This clearly signals serious hygiene and food safety issues that need urgent attention. To make the situation worse, I informed the reception about this issue on our last night, and absolutely nothing was done to assist or comfort us. No follow-up, no concern shown — just complete disregard. Even the drinks at the bar were below standard. The iced mocha and iced coffee were rushed, watered-down, and tasteless. For a hotel of this level, this is simply unacceptable. This stay has left me disgusted and deeply dissatisfied. I strongly urge management to take immediate action to improve their kitchen hygiene, food handling practices, and overall service. No guest should ever have to go through what we did.
