This was my second stay at the hotel to celebrate my birthday, and it didn’t disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised with a bottle of champagne delivered by room service, which was a lovely touch. The hotel impressed me with its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and sense of safety. The rooms were spotless, and the meals were outstanding. There was a wide variety of food available, and everything I tried was delicious. A special shout-out to the well-trained and attentive staff members—Samuel, Estelle, Mohamed, Smita, and Steven—who made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience!

Spent wonderful 2 nights in the end of July 2025. Top notch service from checking in until checking out. Room was very cozy, nice, tidy and had a nice view. Only issue was the lack of water jet in the toilet to wash myself after use. Great food variety for all 3 meals at "La Riviere" specially lunch and dinners' that were open buffet type. The hotel is also huge and has a lot of wonderful relaxing spots as well as to roam and take great pictures. Totally recommend!

After staying at many 4 and 5 star hotels, I am very surprised that this hotel rates 4 stars. Arriving at about 5:30 pm, there was no bell staff to help with bags until we had hauled them out of the taxi and to the front desk. And when they were brought to the room, the bellman just kind of dumped them at the doorway. While it is clean and up-to-date, the furnishings are very basic, the liquor is bottom shelf, the "mini-bar" in the room consists of 2 cans of coke, 2 cans of orange soda, and water. No alcohol. This is an all-inclusive??? All the other all inclusive we have been to include wine, beer and the alcohol of your choice in your room as well as an assortment of snacks. When we asked for alcohol in our room, they stated they 'don't do that'. You were not even allowed to bring a drink from the bar into the buffet!?!! Dinner reservations required 48 hours advance notice, so you are stuck with the buffet your first two days, minimum. The lunch buffet was good, options on the evening and breakfast buffet were poor. Speaking of that -- no one seats you at the buffet. You are expected to grab your food then go find a table. The staff in the buffet were not very helpful when we first walked in and asked about seating, the woman just looked at me and said "What, what?", yet it appeared she knew what I was asking. Really very disconcerting. There is no wait staff at the pool. You have to go to the bar for anything - and other than RISHAB (who was fantastic) the other bartenders acted like they really didn't want to be there. So, no 4 stars. And as far as all inclusive? Try Iberostar or Palace Resorts -- not Riu Palace Resorts.

Fantastic hotel. It's such a beautiful location. The staff are wonderful and always do their very best to help. This is our second visit and it felt like coming home. Amazing holiday, and we will definitely be returning.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and all the staff are so kind and helpful, anything you ask they will assist you in the best that they can. I had some issues with the aircon in my room and they were on it straight away to fix it. There are 3 restaurants, the main buffet and 2 themed restaurants, you do need to book these in advance through the RIU app, I’d advise doing it at midnight as they are very popular. There are 2 other restaurants which are at the other resort Turquoise. Palace guests can go over to that hotel and use all the facilities but Turquoise guests cannot come over to the palace side which is great as the Palace is for adults only. The buffet is one of the best buffets I’ve ever been too, there is so much to choose from and changed daily, I have a few allergies/diet requirements and 1 of the evenings the chef made me a fresh pasta dish. Evening entertainment is at the main stage sega bar which is on the turquoise side so you are mixed with families, it would have been nice to have more adult only entertainment options but it was still very fun & enjoyable. The entertainment staff are so talented and lovely, the work so hard bless them. The only suggestion I would make is the staff door by the Sega bar needs to have key card access as quite frequently I’d see turquoise guests sneaking through there to the Palace side. There is a door for guests to use which is key card access but this seems pointless if people are able to walk through the staff door. Overall you know what you’re getting with Riu, their standards are incredibly high, if I were to return to Mauritius I’d be back to stay here!
