We thought it was ok. Lots of other Brits. There were some other nationalities. We had room only so we were in an adjacent complex to the main area. No problem with that really. The restaurant/cafe on our site was below expectations for us at least. It is privately operated. Swimming pools were very clean and well used. The weather was great for Christmas. We were glad we hired a car. The island was great and the 2000metre volcano was a fantastic drive out. At least if you can drive. The kitchenette was ok in the room kettle, 2 ring induction hob and microwave with a few assorted pans and some cutlery. A coffee percolator didn't seem to work and that was quickly replaced. I would recommend it but just don't pay over the odds for a room only.

We had a wonderful stay at this all-inclusive hotel! The variety of food was fantastic, there was always something delicious for everyone, and the quality was consistently great. The entertainment for kids was excellent too, with plenty of activities that kept them happy and engaged throughout the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. A special mention to Julio, who was especially kind and helpful, he really made us feel at home. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the cleaning staff did a great job keeping everything spotless and tidy. Overall, it was a great experience for the whole family. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun all-inclusive vacation!

For the price we paid this is a really decent hotel, there’s a few minor issues but mostly a decent hotel especially if you’re on a budget. Service and entertainment: the staff are all very friendly, especially the entertainment team and reception staff. Shout out to Martina- she was great. Evening entertainment was good fun and the entertainment team really try their hardest to make it an enjoyable evening cor everyone. Restaurant and bar: the food was ‘okay’, wasn’t very varied and was mostly the same every night. The bar wasn’t great, cocktails were pretty disgusting and the spirits are very cheap unfortunately. Amstel is the main beer and proper branded soft drinks are served (coca cola etc) Rooms: very clean, beds seem to roll around as they’re on wheels which is very annoying. Pool area: pools clean, sun beds are very uncomfortable as the fabric has worn on most of them so the metal framing penetrates into your back. The pool area gets sun all day. Overall this is a decent hotel for the price we paid. Would recommend especially if you’re with children as there’s lots to do for them.

Dreadful from start to finish , rooms need updating and the bathroom was awful , dirty grouting and rust stains . The food was the same at lunchtime and Teatime , every day , very limited choice and undercooked and lukewarm . The hotel is 8 euros away in a taxi 🚖 from any other restaurants or bars . So you had nothing else to choose from . The room was only cleaned 3 times during our 7 day stay , and that was only the bed made and the towels replaced . The only holiday I have been on and lost half a stone . I lived on cheese sandwiches from the local spar .This hotel is definitely not worthy of 4 stars 🌟 .Thankfully we enjoyed a week of beautiful sunshine in December ☀️ and the staff where friendly and polite . . Unfortunately you can't win them all , I wish I had read the reviews before before I booked the holiday .

We had a really enjoyable stay at Livvo Koala Garden Suites and found it to be a great choice for families, especially with young children. Rooms The rooms are extremely spacious and well laid out. Ours had a huge bedroom with a separate living area, which made a big difference for comfort. The bathroom was large, with both a bath and a separate shower. Entertainment was excellent – English TV channels were available, with channels 1–5 in the bedroom, and in the lounge there was working English TV plus YouTube and Netflix, which was a big bonus. Pools There are four large pools, giving plenty of space so it never felt overcrowded. The water was a bit chilly, but it is December, and once you’re in it’s absolutely fine – especially as you warm up quickly when you get out. The hotel also offers floats and footballs to borrow, which is a lovely touch and keeps kids entertained. Outdoor Play Area & Splash Pad The outdoor play area is really good, with slides, swings and a climbing frame. Everything was clean, well maintained and very usable. The splash pad is amazing for kids. The water is cold, but it’s in the sun for most of the day, so it works really well and children can happily run around and enjoy it. Soft Play / Kids Club The soft play and kids club area was another highlight. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and nothing felt like too much trouble. There’s a good selection of toys, along with a small soft play area and ball pit – perfect for younger children. Restaurant & Food The main restaurant offered a good variety of food, with the menu changing each evening. There was always something to suit everyone, including typical British options as well as more traditional dishes. There was also a great selection of fruit available throughout the day. • Breakfast was mostly the same each day, with eggs, bacon and sausage, pastries, churros, fruit and a charcuterie selection. • Lunch had plenty of choice and something for all ages. • Dinner themes changed nightly, including Italian and Chinese nights. There were always chips every evening, pizza on most nights, plus at least one rice dish and one pasta dish alongside the themed options. Joey’s Restaurant Joey’s Italian restaurant is well worth a visit. The food is cooked fresh and served buffet-style, with pasta dishes made in front of you. Options included spaghetti, ravioli and cannelloni, as well as pizza and other Italian dishes. There was also lots of fruit and a good variety of puddings. Booking is done via the website provided at check-in and was straightforward. Drinks Drinks were easily accessible throughout the day at the pool bar and also available in the restaurant. Amstel beer is on tap, along with red, white and rosé wine. Soft drinks are branded (Coca-Cola, Fanta lemon and orange, Sprite), plus fruit juices. Location & Transport A really useful bonus is the free shuttle bus. There’s a complimentary bus to the beach running at 9:30am and 3:30pm, which makes getting out easy without extra cost. There’s also a bus to Aqualand, which is ideal for families planning a water park day. The hotel is also only a 5 minute walk from Spar Express which had everything we needed including nappies, wipes as well as food and drinks etc. Value for Money For the price we paid, this hotel was amazing. It offers a lot for families on a budget, with spacious accommodation, great food options, plenty for kids to do and free transport included. Overall, Livvo Koala Garden Suites is a fantastic budget-friendly choice for a relaxed family holiday in Gran Canaria.
