Very comfortable hotel with great food, it is a little more pricey than other places to eat nearby but everything is clean and very nicely presented. The hotel is right on the edge of Santa Maria and is a 15 minute walk along an unmade road into town. The hotel is surrounded by construction sites and desert wasteland around the headland. For relaxation and a place to unwind it is perfect, very quiet and chilled vibe by the pool. The staff are friendly and helpful and our room was plenty big enough for the two of us.

I had a fantastic time at Buddha Beach Hotel in Cape Verde. The staff was attentive and approachable. I was a lone guest, and they made me feel welcome and safe. The location was perfect, and I enjoyed my morning walks on the beach. I am definitely booking to return.

Hotel in the middle of construction site, Beavh is dirty, rooms are not as 4 star level, (stains on tables and wardrobes, paint peeling off walls and very small room). Birds feeding on buffet breakfast. Staff were very nice just a shame about the location and quality of the room I stayed in. All they have to do is close the doors or put beads up to stop birds feeding on the buffet breakfast. I just don’t feel it is a 4 star hotel at all. Spa is definitely not great either. One lady doing massage that it.

Fantastic holiday at an unbelievable price (we were lucky & seemed to have paid a lot less than others did), gorgeous setting right on the sea. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Easy to relax by the pool, very plush & luxurious. Great restaurant, although more expensive than local restaurants, there some hidden gems off the beaten track more inland, which are very cheap. Only downside is that it is quite isolated & surrounded by construction sites & it takes 15 mins to walk into town. Overall a very relaxing holiday in a very chilled environment. Cleaning staff very good & deserve a mention. NB: There’s not a lot of stuff to do on Sal other than lie on the beautiful beach or by a pool.

Oh my we have found paradise here in Cape Verde staying at the beautiful Budha Beach Hotel, right next to beach, surrounded by the calming sound of the sea. The hotel is so clean, fresh and super chilled vibe. We arrived and was greeted by the lovely Anna, who made us feel welcome immediately, such a sweet woman, we felt blessed. All staff are super friendly and polite and will help with anything with no problem. We stayed in the seaview suite for a week and WOW, absolutely gorgeous. Very big spacious with a balcony and just lush. We are in our second week and had to move to a smaller apartment for the second week (due to bookings) which are also gorgeous, with a terrace. The price of the seaview apartment was most definitely worth it, don't think twice... but as I said, you will not be dissapointed with the smaller rooms, they are stunning! The food is exquisite, the chef is a genius. We have eaten here several times so far and enjoyed everything. We are satisfied with the food selection and quality. We could have easily eaten here every night, but wanted to check out other restaurants, so if your thinking of going full board, trust us, you will not be dissapointed. The breakfast has good selection of cold and hot food. The pool is beautiful, I have swam everyday, its amazing. Sun loungers and beds all around the pool and an even more private area at the side also with loungers and beds. You can get a massage for €50. I haven't had one yet, but some people said it was so relaxing, I will be having one in this second week. A 10/15 minute walk into town is straightforward. There is less than a minute of dusty road (near the outside gym on beach) but also pavement, so don't be put off...u are in Africa after all. Plenty of little cool bars restaurants before you hit the main square that leads into the busier area of town. You can also ask reception for a cab for €3/4. One week in and we are loving it here Budha Beach Hotel.
