The location of the hotel is very practical, it's literally inside Kyoto's main station. The staff is great and really well mannered which was pleasant. The restaurants are very nice. I removed one star for two reasons. On the downside, the rooms are a little austere. Also, please note that you cannot access the pool if you have (visible) tattoos.

Super convenient location attached to the Kyoto Station. This hotel is huge! Our rooms were 100s of meters from the nearest elevator. We had gotten a room with 2 twins; yet the beds were together with end tables on the side. Not the ideal set up for family/friends traveling together. You can hear the trains from our room (at the far end of the hotel, close to the tracks). Concierge was super helpful and all staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice buffet with Japanese and Western Options. Few minute wait max for a table at breakfast. Overall pleasant stay, just not my preferred type of hotel.

Fantastic place to stay in Kyoto. First is location. Get off the train and walk to the hotel. Two, design is new and modern. Three, the service there is better than the high-end hotels in the states. I would recommend paying for the lounge access as we ate all our meals there with free cocktails in the evening. Plus it is on the 15th floor so nice views.

I only have good things to say about this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, dealing with several difficulties during my stay. The rooms were excellent- very clean, with great amenities, super comfortable beds and good views of Kyoto. The location was the best though with excellent connectivity all over the city through the bus and train network. Isetan dept store is connected to the station and there are 100s of shops and restaurants nearby.

Hotel is in a great location above the train station and central to shopping and it is easy to get around Kyoto from here. The staff is friendly and really looks to help find solutions if you need assistance. I needed to ship a package and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend.
