Hotel Exagon Park

We have stayed at the Exagon Park many times over the past 8 years. We have stayed as an extended family with ages ranging from 2 years to 58 years. When we asked our 12 year old grandson where he wanted to go on holiday this year he replied "Exagon Park of course". However, that said, the hotel isn't perfect and probably not worthy of the 4 star rating. The rooms are small and dated and the whole hotel is is in serious need of upgrading. For us though the staff (especially bar staff), location, pool and value for money are what make this hotel great for us. The food is always fresh and plentiful and I love eating my breakfast and evening meal on the terrace overlooking the grounds and pool. The evening entertainment is OK but we quite often walk into the town centre (about 20 minutes) and enjoy the entertainment in the various bars. We only ever stay on a half board basis but other family members have stayed on an AI basis. They weren't that impressed, as you had to go into the hotel restaurant at lunchtime and would have preferred to eat at the pool bar. There are things they could do to improve the hotel definitely, but then that would be reflected in the price. If you want a good family holiday a short walk from the beach and great value for money, I would highly recommend. If you want all singing, all dancing with jacuzzi baths in your room, its probably not for you.

The hotel is quite nice but the bedrooms are very dated with only one plug!! So you will need to take an extension lead, Pillows are at a premium and if you want one you have to ask reception. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very basic and would not recommend All Inclusive. Bear in mind that if you want a decent restaurant, you need to walk 20/25 minutes to find one. It didn't help that during our stay 2 of the 3 lifts were out of order for 2 days.

A lovely hotel but there is room for improvement. I have never been to a hotel in the world where there isn’t tea & coffee making facilities, for a sold traveller that is an early riser this is important. Animation staff whilst work very hard only speak to young singles or ‘European’ visitors. Which to Me shows a total lack of awareness for visitors, especially ones that are on the sun bed all day alone! Room good, food nothing wrong with it. But be aware of who’s staying. No one spoke to me in 1 week.

We passed by just to have a cocktail and loved the experience. The swimming pool was big and there were many chairs to enjoy the sun. It is connected to a small beach (7 minutes walking). The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable (pizzas for 9€ and sandwiches for 8€, for example). We had a piña colada cocktail that was delicious and only 6€. It seems to be a very family-like hotel. It also has a tenis court. We are considering staying there in our next visit to Mallorca!

As we pulled up at the hotel Exagon I thought it looked a good hotel,the foyer is very nice and excellent staff on our arrival. Our room 418 on the fourth floor looked over the side garden and tennis courts, this is also the access area for deliveries which good be a little noisy sometimes. Plenty of storage in the room with a refrigerator and hairdryer and an adequate balcony.The rooms do need updating as they don’t compare to the rest of the hotel,but at the moment they are fine. The bar area is spacious and an adjoining balcony terrace on the side is very nice.A large dining room/rooms are good but we found the food layout disfuntcional as in some foods were not where they should be so you had to travel backwards through other guests to find what you needed.Sometimes the food was not hot enough but there was a very good choice.The grounds are quite big and you could escape to a quiet corner when needed.I found the pool to cold for me to enjoy so didn’t go in,but, there is a nice indoor heated pool and steam room to enjoy.This hotel is a five minute walk to the beach and bars but you are a good walk to the centre of Can Picafort.
