We stayed at the hotel 7 nights in December. The hotel itself and the surroundings are really beautiful especially the gardens among the buildings. However there is still room for improvement in services. I have especially choosen this hotel because it has an internal spa and pool in case of bad weather we can use it. But it turned out it is adults only and there was no information about that on booking site. I asked for a quiet room before arriving and we received a room where there was a constant noise coming from outside at night and we could not sleep. After 3 nights of not sleeping the hotel switched our room. So basically we lost our first 3 days of our holiday because we were so tired. This was our first time in this hotel and first time in Gran Canaria. When we arrived the receptionist gave us every information in 1 minute so quick we could not really follow it. Also the staff was not really helpful, the waiters and the waitresses at dinner act like they own the place. We felt every evening we need to rush with eating because there is not enough time to eat with a 3 year old. I undestand you would like to make everything fresh at dinner but staying in line with a 3 year old kid for 20 minutes it is not an option. There was not too much entertainment for a 3 year old kid in the hotel. The playground was very small, the animations were only in the middle of the day but there is no playroom for small children. The pool was too cold to play for the kid. On the positive side the breakfast was fantastic, amazing sortiment. The room was clean and good size, beds are comfortable. Easy to park the car at the hotel. Wifi is okay. And Puerto de Mogan is beautiful. This hotel is a good choice with older children.

I'd recommend this hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast, which is our preference as we like the variety of eating out and there are several options nearby, both in the pretty town and the shopping centre opposite. It's around 10 minutes walk into town. The hotel is well equipped with 2 pools, bars, games room and a library. The staff are excellent. Rooms are pleasant enough and in the local style. A safe is available for a small charge per day. The choice of breakfast foods is very wide and of good quality with a chef who will cook an omelette or fried eggs to order. There's also a quirky robot! It's popular mainly with British and Scandinavian people. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Rooms are very nice but needs better maintenance when I emptied the bathroom sink it pulled the water trap and allowed sewerage smells to enter the bathroom. The maids were great could not fault them. Food was very nice. Drinks are very expensive and entertainment was ok. The experience that you get is that the place is inside botanical garden. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The beautiful small village of Puerto de Mogan is where this hotel is situated. We came with Jet2 for 7 days between 16th to 23rd December. Weather was between 16 to 21 so definitely need a cardigan and/or jumper. But even with the lowest temperatures, the sun is shining. The area has a lot of shops, restaurants and other activities such as hiking. It's a paradise for younger children as there are a lot of play areas in and around the hotel plus the local authority organises activities for the children, outside of the hotel (as in as soon as you step out). About the hotel - some reviews mentioned that the rooms are a bit out of date, I disagree as it is purely down to style of decor the hotel is aiming for. So if you want a back to the 80s hacienda style of hotel, this is it and it's beautiful. We booked half board but in retrospect, a breakfast only would have been fine thanks to the plethora of restaurants in the area. Breakfast choices are fine but dinner, they fall short although not a bad thing so people can go and spend in the local community. For dinner service, you are allocated a permanent table to your room and a timeslot but you are not obliged to keep to it. I can confirm the issues with room billing as there was a charge to ours but the receptionist immediately saw that we didn't eat in on the night the charge occurred so it was swiftly rectified. I think the cause may be due to the preallocated dinner tables so when you don't show up, if they give the table to other customers, you end up getting the bill (easily rectified though). Pool areas are satisfactory but you cannot avoid the northern European towel mongrels - you know, the ones that set their alarm at 6am to go and place their towels and have downloaded an app on their phone to track the sun movements so they adjust their sunbeds accordingly. Yep, they are present! Hotel is very clean when we visited and would surely recommended for the winter months. The room was big for the 2 of us but the beds are on wheels so you can easily play dodgem with them as there are no breaks on the wheels (it's a split divan base setup). As a 6'5" person and above average weight, the bed mattress wasn't great and pillows weren't really supportive but you can ask for extra and they would happily provide them. Staff are friendly and professional. If you decide to take a trip to Puerto Rico. The bus station is opposite the lower area part of the hotel. Ticket is €3,50 return compared to ,€15 plus you would pay on a taxi and there is one every 20 minutes. Las Palmas visit should also be on your schedule as it has lots to do - we visited the aquarium and it was a nice experience. Overall, Puerto de Mogan is a wonderful, picturesque place and the locals call it the Venice of the Canaries (but as much as Birmingham with its' canals is the Venice of England so is Mogan). We will visit it again and possibly the same hotel around the same period.

Great location and facilities. Very nice pool area and friendly staff. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the half-board option. The town has many good options for dining, just not at this hotel. Staying here currently, tonight's dinner was a disaster. If you like prepackaged pizzas or cakes from a factory, then maybe you'll be alright. Some nights are okay, but not great. It is not possible to order coffee with your dessert after dinner. The fruits are rotten, and the plates are dirty. I can't count how many I sorted out before getting a clean one. The picture will show how big lines quickly form for the food station. It reminds me of a medical facility dinner buffet. Many elderly guests are particularly enjoying it here; most of them are from the UK.
