The hotel is quite good. The grounds are huge by Canarian standards. The furniture and furnishings in the rooms themselves are tired, apparently not changed since its opening... However, that's where the negatives end... The service is very good, starting from the reception. The breakfasts are delicious, you definitely won't leave hungry. You can start your day with champagne. The pool is medium-sized, and there are plenty of sun loungers by the pool. There is a bar. Another bao in the reception area. Three restaurants. Well, if you want more, you can try the bars and restaurants of two neighboring hotels - Mediaterrain Palace or Sir Anthony. All three hotels are co-op and managed by the same company. The rooms with an ocean view are simply fabulous. The view is stunning. Directly in front of the hotel (50 meters) is the yellow sand beach Playa del Camison. Personally, for me, this is the best beach in the south of Tenerife. At the reception, they themselves offered late check-out until 5 pm. All problems are solved in no time. We received a lot of information and help from the girl at the front desk (Sintia). Overall, the hotel is good. The pros are the location (right on the beach), the food, and the hotel staff. The cons are the tired furniture and, of course, the price.

My stay at the Cleopatra Palace was mixed. The hotel boasts a truly unbeatable location and good staff service, but these positives are heavily let down by its severely outdated rooms and noticeable maintenance issues. While the potential for a luxurious stay is clearly there, the hotel is urgently in need of a comprehensive refurbishment to match its advertised star rating and price point. The Best Aspects • The hotel’s positioning is absolutely perfect. It’s immediately local to the "Golden Mile" and the best restaurants and shops in the Playa De Las Americas area, making everything easily accessible on foot. • Comfort: The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a very good night's sleep despite the room issues. The air conditioning worked great too. • Staff Service: The waiting staff, particularly at breakfast and the pool restaurant, were attentive, friendly, and efficient, maintaining a high standard of service. • Public Cleanliness: A definite positive was the cleanliness of the public washrooms throughout the hotel. Areas for Improvement • Dated and Damaged Rooms: This was the most significant drawback. Our initial room was severely dated with visible rust in the bathroom and various damaged fixtures and certain fittings. While we were eventually moved after persistance and many conversations, the second room had a better view but was still not internally visually appealing. Future refurbishments must address these issues. • Poor Maintenance: A very concerning sight was the presence of towels and buckets placed throughout the hotel's public areas to catch leaks whenever it rained. This lack of preventative maintenance is unacceptable for a hotel of this calibre. • Pool Bar Service: The pool bar was noticeably understaffed, often with only one person making drinks, leading to long waiting times for service. • Breakfast Quality: The variety of breakfast items was disappointing, with little change day-to-day. More importantly, many of the dishes were not kept hot enough, which detracted from the experience. • Atmosphere & Clientele It is important for potential guests to know that the hotel feels massively catered to a fairly older clientele aged 70+. The atmosphere is very quiet, and the nightly entertainment is clearly not aimed at a younger demographic, a point that was even mentioned by the staff themselves. This is good to use as a clean, comfortable place to stay, but those looking for a vibrant or lively environment may be disappointed. It is noted you can use the next-door sister hotel's entertainment however. Using their pool is a large daily charge though. • Pool Area & Amenities The pool area is a strong point as it is large and spacious. While the pool was definitely cold, it wasn't a major issue. Getting a sunbed was generally easy, though travelers should note that a significant portion of the sunbathing area is shielded from the sun for a large part of the day. Final Verdict The Cleopatra Palace offers a fantastic location and some comfort, but its current state of disrepair makes it really difficult to understand the consistent five-star ratings it receives. I sincerely hope the planned refurbishments address the maintenance, room quality, service shortcomings, and appeal to a broader demographic, as this hotel has the potential to be truly excellent.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely Julia, who made check-in a breeze and made us feel so welcome. During our stay, the bar staff were fantastic — especially Julio and Miguel — who were always friendly, attentive, and full of good humour. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are spotless. We were surprised with a fruit basket and a bottle of cava in our room as we were on our honeymoon — such a thoughtful and special touch. All of the staff we met were incredibly polite and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were always happy to offer advice on where to go or what to do around the area. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of sun loungers available and a great outdoor bar. There are even complimentary books in English, which was a really nice little touch. The location couldn’t be better — the hotel is literally right on the beach, just across a small walkway, with a lovely beachfront bar. Guests are also given a flyer with discounts for nearby restaurants, which we definitely recommend using. We went to Palapa, and it was absolutely amazing! And then… the breakfast. Oh my god, the breakfast! I’ve never seen anything like it in all my years of travelling. The selection is incredible — entire counters dedicated to different items. There’s a whole room filled with every fruit you can imagine, along with meats, cheeses, pastries, juices, and every style of eggs and sausages. There’s even a chef on hand to cook fresh options for anyone with dietary requirements. Don’t miss the bread section — or the glass of cava for breakfast, alongside tea, coffee, and more. Honestly, as wonderful as everything else was, I’d come back just for the breakfasts! The hotel is perfectly located for shopping, bars, and restaurants, making it ideal for anyone looking to explore or just relax. All in all, it was the perfect stay, and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much to everyone at Cleopatra Palace for making our honeymoon so special! 💛

Although a little dated the hotel itself is lovely, great staff, service is great. Breakfast is adequate but nothing to write home about. The location, you couldn't ask for better. By far the least walking and taxis we've ever had on a teneriffe trip. The biggest downside for us was the beds. Even with a big foam mattress topper after raising our discomfort the beds are chronically uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the beds would absolutely stay again

Loved the live piano during breakfast and in the evenings! Great location, and if you want a quiet place to relax this hotel is a great choice. Many activities and restaurants were available at the neighbour hotel, Mediterranean (same owner). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for your hospitality!
