Reading the reviews from recent reviewers I was a little concerned before our trip to the hotel Polynesia but our experience was very positive. We were a family of 8 with a 5 and a 1 year old and we had an amazing week. The rooms were spacious and clean with a very comfy bed a good shower and powerful hairdryer. The food was fine with plenty of choice. There is a microwave in the restaurant you can use if needed. I can't praise the animation team enough as they worked hard every day to entertain everyone. Plenty of activities throughout the day that you can get involved in if you wish. The marina is worth a visit. There are buses but we had taxis and it was only €13 each way. We went on the pirate boat for an hour cruise and on a smaller boat which we hired to go and see the dolphins. The water park was fun and you can easily spend the day there as your wrist band allows you to eat and drink there as well as in the other hotels on the complex. There is a shuttle bus down to the water park but its not far to walk. Just be aware that you will have to pay a €25 deposit for each band on arrival at the hotel that you get back when you return them when you leave. The restaurant staff are very efficient and engaging and if they know you have a birthday they bring a cake with candles and sing happy birthday which was a nice touch. Overall it was a great week.

Review for Hotel Polynesia hotel
We just returned from a fantastic week, and we loved every moment!
The animation team is outstanding, always keeping things fun and engaging. Our favorite animator was the Cuban guy – he made even the parents enjoy the kids' mini disco for a few songs rather than just the standard one parents would always join.
My daughter loved the mini club and never wanted to leave. The activities were so much fun for her.
For the adults, the aqua Zumba sessions were amazing.
The rooms are very spacious, and the beds are really comfortable. We slept great every night. The whole hotel was incredibly clean, which we really appreciated.
Overall, Polynesia hotel exceeded our expectations with its lively atmosphere, fun activities, and comfortable, clean accommodations

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of June. Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful surroundings. Travelled with 2 SEN children and was greatful for the all inclusive buffet meals at the hotel as they had routine things such as chips and plain chicken and pastas. Only downside really is that the hotel is smack bang in between everything and so it takes a 20 minute local bus to get to a beach, fast food place or shop. Hotel does have a small shop for things like snacks and drinks but is overpriced. Plenty of choices for pools between the hotel pools and the beach club makes a good day out. Wouldn't visit again but did have a wonderful stay

My wife and I spent 6 nights here with our two kids aged 5 & 10 and had a brilliant time. We would be more than happy to go back again!
Staff were always friendly and helpful everywhere we went. Spanish/English barrier is there but it’s easy to navigate and staff all understood and spoke English very well. The animation team were especially impressive with their energy and games to keep guests and kids entertained.
The room we were in was a great size, plenty of room for the two kids on a sofa bed, a small fridge was there for keeping drinks cold and the bathroom was fantastic also. I gave the rooms only 4 stars because the legs on the beds in the actual bedroom were hanging off, eventually came off but were completely replaced when reported to reception within an hour so perfect service anyway.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner service were very efficient. The food was lovely and always fresh; if you’re in to trying new foods you will enjoy the selection they have. Lunch bites are served between certain times at the Tiki bar around the pool which is perfect if you have kids with a never ending hunger and thirst!
For kids there is a disco at 21:00 each night which is great for tiring young kids out before bed. They have an arcade with 4-5 pool tables, plenty of games and a bowling alley with three lanes which is perfect for older kids too.
The beach club was lovely and my favourite place to relax, it’s a 10 minute walk or quicker if you get the free open top bus from the front of the hotel to the entrance. If you are all inclusive you can enjoy all the same benefits here. They have a pirate ship with a slide and a few water slides which you need to rent a large inflatable for.
All in all, our experience here was very good. I would recommend it to families looking for an all in one place to stay to keep the kids and yourselves entertained!

The room was clean , fresh towels daily, but the furniture was a bit scratched. The food wasn't great, not always that warm,& the porridge had no spoons close by,so had to walk around to find some, on one occasion the porridge was cold. There was a buffet place where there was food & drink available most of the time for snacks. We went to the Italian restaurant on site, which was still part of the full board luckily, as it was very expensive. I had lasagne which was one layer of pasta & a bit of mince & sauce, which was around 16 euros ! Unfortunately we were unable to get in the burger restaurant, as that was reputedly very good.
The children 's entertainment was very good, the pools were good with people watching out for any problems,& at night the pool areas were cordoned off so that no one could get in the water& mess about. There were plenty of sunbeds,& you could get free beach towels. We went across the road to where the pirate ship was, but that was not in use & unsuitable for young children . Unfortunately, there were words of school children there on their end of term outing with little supervision, running around,& jumping & splashing people, so it was a waste of time for us with 2 young grandchildren. There is a bus stop over the road & we caught the bus into Benalmadina for a trip out which was good.
The WiFi was very poor & intermittent, I had trouble downloading my boarding pass,& was told it was due to the mountains etc.
It's a place for families, no doubt, but we wouldn't return there.
