We had an outstanding 10-night stay at the Holiday Inn resort. The accommodations were excellent - the beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms were nice with roomy, updated showers.
The dining was top-notch. With four on-site restaurants, all providing 5-star quality cuisine, we had a wonderful variety of options. The breakfast buffet in particular was a standout, with an outstanding selection that we enjoyed daily.
The resort amenities were fabulous as well. The pool area was beautiful, with a large pool and swim-up bar that provided a great space to relax.
What really made our stay phenomenal, however, was the exceptional service from the staff. Every employee we encountered was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Any request was met with a warm smile and first-class service.
The location was also ideal, within easy walking distance of the beach, stores like pharmacies and 7-Eleven, local restaurants, and plenty of shopping. You could find everything you needed just steps from the resort.
Overall, we had a truly memorable vacation at this Holiday Inn resort. Between the comfortable rooms, delicious dining, great amenities and amenities, top-notch service, and prime location, it provided the total package for a relaxing yet convenient beach getaway. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sunny vacation spot.

It was clean and decent. Location was superb. Where do I think they dropped the ball? Well, 1) the large open air lobby has no fans (other than for staff), so waiting there in the heat and humidity was tough. 2) for some inexplicable reason, the pool only opened at 8am and closed by 7pm when there was still daylight out. 3) the doors/windows are not sound insulated so you hear everything from vehicles backing up in the lot next to the hotel, bags being wheeled and people talking in the corridors outside the room. 4) the curtains in the room don't reach all the way down to the floor so you have light that comes in once day breaks. 5) the toilet flush and bathroom made all kinds of noises when used, alerting everyone in the room. Such a prime property, just needs a little thought put into the operations. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Did stay at the Holiday Inn quite awhile ago was great. We’ve been holidaying in Patong on and off since our 1st trip in 1993. We are back again just walking decided to have Happy Hour in the front beach area bar. We asked for a Long Island Iced Tea love that cocktail but unfortunately not this one. It was so bad that we didn’t finish it and actually paid for the disgusting sour lemon drink. Did complain waiter thought it was funny but we will never be back again nor will our friends. The waiter even offered to make our next drink a better one. Forget that.

We were able to get a room at short notice at a good rate. Location is great, near the beach and plenty of restaurants nearby but not too close to the noise and nightlife. Staff are friendly and courteous. We did observe mould in shower. Rooms and facilities are getting dated. I did find it odd that you are assigned only one pool to use. They actively patrol and turn away guests who are not “entitled” to use the nicer pool. Why not allow all guests to try all pools? Great kids club included. Did not partake in the breakfast option but heard that was very good. There was some kind of gastro bug going around the hotel during our stay, possibly from the pool water. There could be some better preparations for cleaning and sanitising high touch surfaces like doors and lift buttons to help with this as well as more sanitiser stations on every floor, not just ground floor. Great information about the history of Phuket for anyone interested as well as the Boxing Day Tsunami. The happy hour menu at the pool always seemed to be missing, the staff not bothered to help, despite seeing me wander aimlessly to all the menu stations. Overall a pleasant stay and would return.

Rooms are dated, door is like paper thin. I can hear people talking in the corridor, kids running and people slamming their doors.
Weird smell coming from the bathroom and there’s no ventilation (or broken). The sink and the bath tub are dirty. And the hot water from the shower only works in 10 seconds interval, you get 10s hot then 10s cold….
Oh, and the pools look way better on pictures. Do not recommend.
