Had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Resort Phuket as a Diamond Ambassador member. I initially booked one suite and one standard room, and the staff very kindly upgraded the standard room to a suite right next door to us, which was a lovely and much-appreciated gesture. I especially enjoyed the daily interactions with the breakfast staff—everyone was exceptionally polite, kind, and genuinely friendly, which made each morning a pleasure. My only disappointment was that although we stayed in a suite in the original (old) wing, we were not allowed to use the Busakorn Wing pool. I found this difficult to understand, as the room rate in the original wing was around the same price, and access to all pools would have made the experience feel more inclusive. Another concern was a large snake appearing in the pool area. It even swam across the pool at one point, which was quite unsettling. While the staff eventually noticed and handled the situation, it took about 15–20 minutes, which felt a bit slow given the potential safety concern. Location-wise, the resort is excellent—right in front of the lively Patong Beach area, yet still quiet and comfortable at night, making it easy to relax and sleep well. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and despite the few issues mentioned, I would definitely return in the future.

Our first time to Phuket and Holiday Inn Patong Beach was a wonderful base for the week. Kids club an absolute highlight with splash zone and seperate kids pool. The staff Pear, Nam, Jiji, Pinky and Rainny were wonderful. Each afternoon the kids(10 and 7) escaped the sun for some quiet fun and games. Made for a relaxing holiday for all. The main pool was excellent and a few steps across the road your on Patong Beach but far enough away from the party scene so it was not in your face. We had the standard double room, great storage for a smaller space and room was serviced daily. Next time we would spend more for a family room with a seperate space so you don’t have to go to bed when the kids do. The balcony was a good size.

We’ve been visiting Thailand for several years now, staying at many wonderful places, but Holiday Inn Resort Phuket in Patong truly stands out as something special. From the smooth check-in to the consistently kind and professional staff including the manager, restaurant team, and housekeeping, every interaction exceeded our expectations. What really impressed us was the genuine hospitality and the way guests are treated like family. After traveling around Thailand for years, it’s rare to find a resort that feels this personal and caring. The location is perfect too, just steps from the beach and surrounded by great massage shops and restaurants. This stay made us feel at home, and we’re genuinely happy to call this our new Thailand home. We can’t wait to come back again in January and see all the familiar, friendly faces. The team here truly made our trip memorable, and we’ll be recommending this resort to all our friends visiting Phuket.

Holiday Inn Patong Beach has a truly fantastic location. You are right in the middle of the action, with Bangla Road, Jungceylon Mall and most key attractions just an easy 8-minute walk away. It makes getting around Patong extremely convenient and enjoyable. The staff deserves a special mention. Everyone we interacted with was warm, friendly and genuinely cheerful, which keeps guests in great spirits throughout their stay and adds a very positive vibe to the hotel experience. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, though the pricing does feel slightly on the higher side. With a bit of searching, one does find several competitive hotel options nearby, so slightly more reasonable pricing would make this property even more appealing. One major disappointment, however, is the pool timing. Closing the pool at 7 pm is a big downer, especially in a hot destination like Phuket where evening swims are the most enjoyable and sun-safe. The pool happy hours are a big hit and really draw guests in, making the swim even more fun. Extending pool hours till at least 9 pm would significantly enhance the overall experience. Breakfast is another area that could use improvement. The spread remained almost identical from 9th December 2025 to 14th December 2025, with very little variety. A few Indian and Chinese items were rotated but unfortunately were not very well prepared. Even the egg station started feeling repetitive after a couple of days. Introducing more variety, perhaps sandwiches, burgers, French fries instead of the usual potato roasties, or rotating themes, would make breakfast far more exciting for longer stays. Overall, Holiday Inn Patong Beach has an unbeatable location and a wonderful team that truly cares for guests. With some improvements in breakfast variety and pool timings, it could easily become an exceptional choice for Patong visitors.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 – An Average Stay at Holiday Inn Phuket Our overall stay at Holiday Inn Phuket was just average. The rooms felt a bit tight for the price we paid, and I found it quite overpriced for what it offered. The staff around the hotel didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, the girls at the kids’ club were absolutely lovely — they took great care of our 4-year-old and made her feel very comfortable. However, our room had a slight unpleasant smell when we first walked in, which didn’t leave the best impression. Overall, it was an okay experience but not one I’d rush back to for the price
