We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the hotel. The staff were wonderful throughout - friendly and very helpful. Our room was spacious and had a view over the pool. It did have a slightly musty smell and there were a lot of insects in the bathroom, but otherwise it was fine. There was a wide range of options at the breakfast buffet and the egg station was very good. No barista coffee though, only a machine. The hotel is very central with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

One of my favorite vacations ever. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was decent, and perfectly situated (with a nice view also!) Pretty much everything you need is right there — from laundry services, to ATMs, to restaurants and bars. This hotel was the perfect “base” for island hopping also. The kids loved the pools, the water slide, and so on. I used the gym only once, but it had all the basics you need.

The resort made a great first impression with its beautiful and well-maintained reception area. However, the experience quickly went downhill. The restrooms near the reception had a strong, unpleasant smell, and it was clear that they were not being replenished or cleaned regularly. This was quite disappointing, especially for a property that presents itself as a premium resort. The biggest letdown was the room. Despite the luxurious look of the reception, the rooms were far from that standard. They felt like basic, local budget hotel rooms, with no sense of comfort or quality. For the price paid, the experience was nowhere close to what a resort should offer. The buffet experience was even worse. The plates provided were not washed properly and had a foul odour. The smell was so strong and unhygienic that I couldn’t eat anything. It made me feel sick, and I even ended up vomiting due to the bad odour coming from the plates. Basic hygiene is extremely important, especially in a hotel that serves food to guests, and this resort clearly failed in that aspect. Overall, the resort needs major improvements in cleanliness, hygiene, and room standards. A beautiful reception alone cannot make up for poor maintenance, unhygienic dining conditions, and substandard rooms. I truly hope the management takes these issues seriously and works on them, as guests deserve a clean and comfortable stay.

I stayed here for two nights to celebrate my birthday alone in Krabi, and it was absolutely wonderful. My room was spotless, spacious, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The modern design made me feel right at home. Khun Ruk at the front desk checked me in and provided all the helpful information I needed. He was extremely kind and polite — thank you so much for his exceptional service! All the bellmen at the front are also very helpful and courteous. I was truly impressed by how attentive they were, always checking if I needed any assistance. I felt genuinely grateful for their hospitality. I was also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful room decoration from Khun May (Housekeeping). She did an amazing job — I was speechless when I saw my beautifully decorated bed. It really made my birthday feel extra special. The hotel is in a very convenient location, just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. I’d also like to thank every staff member — from the front office and bell team to the restaurant and housekeeping — for their hard work. I’m sure I’ll be back again, and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Highly impressed with all the staff member service truly outstanding!

We'd stayed at the Holiday Inn Ao Nang a few times previously when they were still located at Noppharat Beach. This is our first stay with them at their current location in Ao Nang beach. The location is much more centralised and busy, which is good for those seeking convenience. During our recent stay in Krabi, we tried both the Pakasai Resort and the Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn definitely trumps Pakasai in terms of room quality and cleanliness. We really appreciated the room upgrade to one with a mountain view and balcony. It was lovely to wake up to that view every morning. Room was very comfortable, bright and clean. The buffet breakfast selection was great but could do with a bit more variety. Quality of the food was good. We also tried the spa and the 2 masseuse and the receptionist were lovely and friendly. The pool was probably our least favourite. While it was clean, it's quite small for a resort hotel. The pool at their old location was much better. What we did love was the gym. A very good range of equipment instead of just the usual sad ones with only some threadmill machines and stationery bikes. This gym had a cable machine, and a multi-function machine for those looking to work out various muscle groups. The gym was also very well kept and the machines were in good condition. The service staff were all lovely, as typical of Thai hospitality. I'm glad we decided to come back to the Holiday Inn, and it will definitely not be our last visit.
